I wanted to like these, but after wearing them around the house for 15 minutes my feet already hurt. I never wear wide shoes but these were vary narrow and made my feet hurt.

I couldn’t get comfortable wearing them due to size. The color combination really is not my style either. That’s my fault as I got what I ordered.

Color and style were what attracted me to these shoes. However, the width was too large and when tied, the top of the tongue of the shoe came up too high and made the fit feel uncomfortable. Also didn't like that you could see through to the printing on my socks.

Big fan of the Cloud X, the Shift not so much, immediately after trying these on I knew they were more of a fashion piece than performance. I was able to get them to UPS store within a few hours, got my credit within a day and my new Cloud X arrived 2 days later. Zappos rocks!

This is a tough one. I like the shoes BUT they have to be worn with non white socks. The toe box is totally see through and white socks makes it look like you're wearing sandals with socks. I ended up keeping the blue ones and with gray or blue socks they are great. Strange that they made them so see through.

These didn't feel as comfortable as advertised but more importantly the toe box is transparent which is really unsightly and odd. I would never have thought that would be the case. Also, there really doesn't seem to be any exceptional craftsmanship or durability for $150 show made of nylon and mesh.

Alloy/Red XShift - Good looking and stylish/popular but not much else. Fit is normal. If comfort is your main objective I would keep looking. The top over your foot is see through mesh so you can read anything printed on your socks. Looks OK with solids. If you just want a stylish sport shoe with average or less comfort here it is. It is lightweight and comfortable enough for just hanging out. They carry a certain status and seems to me that's what your paying for. Paying a lot. Since I was offered $40 off I will keep these for certain needs but stick with my New Balance for serious walking.

For all the fanfare and hype about this brand, I was somewhat disappointed in them. The are overpriced for the quality, and they're NOT like walking on a cloud; unless the cloud is made out of concrete. They're pretty standard. It's funny when I wear them they remind me of a pair of whitewater rafting shoe that I have; except a lot more expensive. I will not be purchasing this brand again.

I ended up sending these back. The front fabric and tongue are transparent, I found it odd. It might appeal to some people.

Shoes look awesome and are comfortable, but the "cloth" covering the toe area is transparent, so you can see your socks and the sock logo. That transparent window also feels plasticky. It's a shame, great shoes otherwise.

Very unhappy with these. I didn't realize that the front part of the shoe is mesh. I like breathability, but not a mesh like material. The shoe is smaller than expected. I tried to break them in and stretch them a bit to provide relief to no avail. I gave up on these.

Weird! The front of the shoe is somewhat see-through- so you can see my white socks and toe nail polish! My feet are fan-shaped and somewhat narrow, so the thin material at the tip pulls oddly.

These are going back stupid transparent design on the toe which they try to hide in the marketing. Shoe would have been a lot cooler had they put some normal and heavier material there. I recently had toe surgery so need all of the support and protection around that area as possible

Too tight of a fit for and the transparent look is not all thrilled to be wearing in. This would be the pair of shoes if Cinderella was running a marathon before midnight.

I really, really wanted to like these. I think the design is awesome and the idea of a translucent upper is great. You can get a bunch of different looks from the same shoe just by changing up your socks. Unfortunately, the shoes are just too narrow at the front third of the foot. It squeezes my foot there and causes red marks/calluses. The tongue of the shoe is also a bit larger than it needs to be and is quite stiff which causes excess rubbing. I usually wear a size 11 in Ons and I tried the Cloud X Shift in 10.5, 11, and 11.5 - all were too narrow. I can't go up in size any further as my heel already started slipping in the 11.5s. I did also try lacing them in several different ways to see if that would help - it did not :-(. Even without the width issue, the shoe is just not as comfortable as other models. I love my regular Ons, On Waterproofs, On Cloudswifts, and On Cloudstratus. Those are all a joy to have on my feet. These Cloud X Shifts are like strapping little, stylish torture devices to my feet.

I LOVE On shoes but this is absolutely a horrible design and I don't recommend these shoes at all. The fabric covering your toe is a clear rip-stop type fabric which is weird to start with. However to reinforce the paper-thin fabric they had to put a triangle shaped piece of silicone/plastic which has no give and hurts the inside of my foot horribly. I made a mistake and thought it would stretch out and feel better but after 6 months it is still very uncomfortable and I could feel the irritation when I put on ski boots recently. I highly recommend On Shoes but not this specific model. It is a terrible design.
