After trying and returning three other snow pants, we finally just kept the overalls. I had to hem them up a good 4 inches to fit my 8 year old grandson. He is a big 8 year old and the waist was too tight on all of the pants. You need to have pants that fit growing kids!

Quality looks fine but they are short and they don't extent like other brands for growing.

These pants are warm and durable but my son's knees and legs are soaking wet almost every time he wears them in the snow. We live in central Vermont and he wears snow pants outside for at least half of the year. I am pretty disappointed with how little moisture they keep out. I would not buy again.

Knee patches aren't long enough. They wear out in a couple months. Less than one winter here in northern MI.

I have bought several snow suits. The set I bought less than a year ago recently ripped in several places on the unreinforced section of the knees. The reinforced section needs to be extended. They were only worn part of last winter and then just the last few weeks. I attempted to exchange them at the Flagship Store in Freeport to try another pair in hopes they would be as strong as my previous purchases and was told their durability was not a valid reason for returning them as they must have been over or misused. My child was not using them in any abusive way except for outside play, as children do! I was told to buy patches to cover the worn spots/holes. I have been a loyal LL Bean customer, but this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. These did not hold up to the product description of being "tougher" and, "rugged enough to stand up to outdoor play", which is exactly what my child uses them for. It was a surprise to see LL Bean not stand up to its guarantee, even after less than one year since the purchase. I would not recommend these because if they do not hold up in wear, you might be told they were used excessively or inappropriately when perhaps the quality of fabric choice isn't durable enough. Certainly not enough to support the description or outdoor play.

These ski pants didn't even last 1 season on my 7 year old. Huge rip in 1 leg below the knee and another one started on the other side. Very disappointed for the price.

Bought these for my oldest of four children and they are the second pair to rip in the leg. They didn't even make it through one season, never mind handing down to younger siblings.

This was a return as the previous pair ripped, and the same thing happened with less than 4 wears. Will return again. Poor quality

I have two pair of these for my kids, and while they keep them warm when it's dry out, as soon as they play in the snow the moisture soaks through to their clothes. I wondered if it was user error, but I helped them get ready and watched them play several times and it's definitely just the pants. One of them just soaks through the knees, but the other soaks through the knees, butt, and legs, making for a sad, cold, wet kiddo. Will not purchase again.

These snow pants did not last a full winter before they got holes in the knees. This is my second time having this problem with llbean kids snow gear. It is not durable. I will be buying my snow gear elsewhere from now on.

The snow pants ripped at the seam of the knee after only mild use. I ordered these because of the reinforced knee but it did not hold and now all the middle stuff is coming out. Too expensive for poor quality, I had to get a $15 pair that he's been using the last month and there is no problems.

I bought 2 pairs of these to keep at different locations. My son wore the first pair less than 10 minutes and came in because the fabric had ripped at the seam around the knees. I had him change into the other pair and 20 min later the same problem happened around the knees and there were also holes in the shins. My son wasn't even playing rough or sliding around on the ground. The material is too thin and rips easily. I've always had LL Bean snowpants but will be switching as the quality has changed.

I have been buying my daughter snow pants at LL Bean for the past 4 years and never had a problem until I bought these. I purchased them in December, (only 3 months ago) and they have a huge rip in the lower leg. The material is so thin and cheap. I brought them to customer service to show them and they just basically told me to put some kind of tape on them. They also told me that they have been receiving a lot of complaints about these pants. Don't buy them if you want them to last. So disappointed in the quality lately.

My daughter asked me to buy snow gear for her 4 and 8-year-old for Christmas this year as they had just moved from Asheville to Portland, ME. After just a few weeks of use, both sets started to fall apart. They took them to the outlet and were told that this was "normal wear and tear". I beg to differ. I come from a farm family of 8 and we handed down snow pants from child to child. They lasted for years and we were an extremely active group. Both my Grandchildren in Portland are quite lean, so this is not a case of improper fit. Shame on you LLBean for not standing behind your product (or building a decent product to begin with!). Won't be buying from you again unless you rectify this situation!

I purchased these snow pants to replace last year's which were starting to rip a little bit below the reinforced knees. We waited until the new year to pull them out and send them with my son to school. On the eighth school day there was a small tear on the shin of one leg. On the tenth school day he returned home with the pant leg shredded. I brought the pants to our local LLBean outlet where I was told the return policy no longer covers wear and tear. These are snow pants designed for children, they should be of a quality that can handle a Maine recess with outdoor play. I was appalled that LLBean no longer stands behind their products. I have bought thousands of dollars of products from LLBean, willing to pay a higher price because they stood behind the products. I never abused the return policy, but now I am being punished for those that did. We have taken our business elsewhere, and I do not know that I will return.

My 6 year old has gone though 2 pair of these ski pants in 1 month. I'm Canadian and didn't mind paying a little extra on exchange to get good quality ski pants...they are hard to find. Within 2 days of putting on each pair he has come home with tears in them. The thin material that most of the ski pants are made of, tears incredibly easy. The reinforced knees and butt are amazing and the material is very thick- LL BEAN- you're ski pants should be made out of this material ALLLLLL OVER!! I typically rave about your products but not these ones. After having 2 replacements, I opted for the other, more expensive ski pants. We will see how this pair fairs. Very dissatisfied in the quality.

My 6 year old daughter's pants get soaked in these after playing in the snow. They keep her dry everywhere except where those reinforced knees are. We have been buying LLBean snow pants for her since she was tiny. She has probably had 3 or 4 pairs of the Toddler Cold Buster Snow Bibs and I have never had this problem with any of them! Its so disappointing! These pants just aren't functional. Both my kids were out yesterday for the same amount of time in the same snow conditions and the toddler came in dry and the 6 year old came in soaked.

These were purchased for my 11 year old daughter and the length was perfect. The problem is you could practically fit two of her in the width. They are way too wide for an average child.

When I was packing these in my son's bag for school, I noticed there are already little holes in the fabric at the bottom of the leg. It is on the crease so I'm not sure if they are from rubbing on his boots but I hate to see what these are going to look like at the end of the season. Very disappointing.
