The size 9 was too big and the size 8 was too small. Half size unavailable.

I've been wearing LLBean's Women's Wicked Good Moccasins exclusively for several decades and love them. This year I decided to branh out and try the Squam Lake slippers. In picture they appear to be a full slipper, but wear like a flipflop with no heel . It's very easy to slide off the sides or back when I'm taking a few steps inside on carpet or hardwood. I can't imagine wearing them on the porch or to the mailbox. My ankles are sore after wearing them just for a few minutes.

Bought these as a Christmas gift and my wife was very excited but then someone dropped some pasta on the shoe and there doesn't seem to be anyway to salvage it which is a bummer.

Slippers are not true to size but they are very nice quality.

Got as a gift but unfortunately the back of the slippers are too low and don't stay on

The inner sole was too skinny. Which made me feel unsteady on my feet. That's all. They are good quality.

Very disappointed. They don't hug my feet like my old slippers did. I was so excited to get my new slippers but they don't have the LLBean comfort I've become used to.

I bought these in 2021 and expected to love them. However, while the lining under my feet was comfortable at first, it quickly began to bulge in some places and become kinky in others. With socks that might be ok, but I prefer no socks with slippers. Threw them away in 2023.

My least favorite of LLBEAN wicked good slippers. This slipper stretched out over time, did not hold its shape. I won't buy this style again. And LLB does not make the style I preferred any longer. I will wait till the fall and see if more styles return.

I had worn these slippers for several years and each pair was of good quality and lasted a few years. The last pair I purchased came apart at the seams, right after the return period ended. After several faithful years, I have switched to a different brand slipper.

Nearly $100 is a lot of money for a pair of slippers, unless they are high- quality and provide decades of toasty, comfortable wear. ((Cost-per-use!). That used to be the case with the Squam Lake slippers, but no longer. The slippers used to come with a special notice. advising new wearers that the slippers would initially feel tight until the shearling material inside shaped to one's foot. I don't remember seeing that notice With my recent pair, but if I had, it would have been oxymoronic or at least unnecessary, because there is about half as much of that previously Warm and enveloping material as there used to be. . Looking at the reviews, many people commented on the slippers are much l arger and looser than they used to be. Case in point.
I was hesitant to buy the slippers this year, because they just seem like too much money, but now I'm back to the drawing board of looking for a decent pair of slippers that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and doesn't leave me feeling ripped off. I would rather have paid the high price tag, and received slippers that felt great, worked great, and would last, but those days are behind us, sadly I know it's not LL Bean that is now losing sight of their values and commitment to offer high-quality reliable products. They just don't make things the way they used to! (needless to say, the "wicked, good" not-so-good LLBean slippers are going back)

Return and exchange fees.
Please please please purchase a full size down! Especially if not wearing socks in them or are in a half size. I'm a 10-10.5 in most shoes, 11 in some designer ones. Based on their estimate I was an 11. I ordered a 10 based on some reviews saying they are big plus I wanted to go not wear socks in them.
The fact that their algorithm says true to size must be misleading or wrong. It asks "how was length" but doesn't ask if that is your normal size. Only what size purchased. Anyone who buys and keeps it will thus be read as "true to fit".
They also do not even have product measurements. So how does their size estimator even work?! I would rather them post in cm or in inches the exact measurements so I can be better informed. LLB doesn't have any somehow.

I read the recommendation for sizing that stated I should size up for half sizes so I ordered the 8. Then the packaging said they should fit snug. I decided to go with another brand.

My rating is based on the sizing on these slippers. I ordered a size based on the size of my HOKAs as suggested on the LLBean's website. They were way too large! Not a huge surprise because my feet are narrow. However, I wasn't willing to pay the shipping costs for several rounds of purchase and return to find the right size.
Also, the back of the heel on this slipper is too low to stay on my foot. It would be flipping up and down with every step.

Description unclear that back is disappointingly low, more like a clog. Slip off the back of my 89 yr old mom's feet causing a falling hazard. Otherwise warm and well made. Will look for different style.

Just received the slippers, ordered my regular size, quality is very good but these slippers run LARGE. I don't wish to pay return fees so I guess I'm stuck. Lesson learned.

Comfy but I've had them less than 2 months and the seam is already falling apart.

I've bought several Wicked Good Slippers over the years and noticed the last two come lush and fluffy inside; in months, the lining goes from fluffy to flat to see-through. I will not repurchase it. Too expensive for this experience.

I ordered these and then returned them for a different version of Wicked Good Slippers. This pair was too big even though I ordered the size I usually get.

I wanted to treat myself to some quality slippers, after years of settling for inexpensive "generic" slippers. When I first received these in January I loved the cushy, warm comfort. By March or April the insoles were matted down, and even worn bare in a couple spots! I went back to wearing my generic slippers from 2 years ago, which are still in better shape than these disappointing LL Bean slippers

My foot slipped out of the slipper. While the wool felt soft and comfy, I also did feel like the bottom had any cushioning. And as others mentioned, what a silly place to put a tag: right where the arch is.

I was eager to receive these slippers but alas they were extremely large even though I went down a half size and full width. And whose bright idea was it to sew a label on the interior lateral surface of each? How the heck could such an irritant be removed? A high priced slipper with a poor design. Cannot recommend.

This is the second my pair I've purchased and I found this second pair does not have the same quality I expected. Cost engineering has degraded the quality of the whole product. I would have gladly paid a little more to get the same quality product. The shearling is not as thick and the sole is not the trademarked LLBean type of sole. It looks more like thin flip flop material. Overall, this new slipper does not look like it will last. A side by side comparison of my original wicked good slipper next to the new one showed it was not just my imagination. The width of the older slipper was wider and the sole is sturdier and thicker and more supportive. I only bought this second pair because my first pair were looking grubby. But I would rather wear my grubby slippers than this new version. I will be returning.

Not as expected - did not cover the back of my foot and my ankle. Workmanship was good but I had to return them.
