I purchased these to replace my well worn old slippers. I understand that they feel tight when first purchased due to the soft shearling lining. This would be my third pair. They truly were much too big. Unfortunately, this was my third return to LLBean in a short time. Things aren't the same quality as before. I hope LLBean goes back to their usual standards. For now, I'll be taking a break from shopping there.

These are my very first pair of Wicked Good slippers. They came and they looked soft and comfy and was excited to put them on. They were very comfortable and not as warm as I thought they would be. I also noticed the the left side top portion of material started to curl up and it won't stay down. The right side is starting to do the same. The size is also bigger than true to size.

These slippers were a Christmas present from my husband. Didn't get them until January because they were on back order. Loved them right away. They are comfortable warm and fit great. After wearing them for a month, became very disappointed at the quality. They no longer have any cushion in the bottom and the fur material on the inside is coming apart. Also very disappointed that they are not washable. Definitely not the quality that I expect from L.L. Bean.

I was really looking forward to getting these shoes. After all, they're expensive for slippers, the cream of the crop at LL Bean. Here's why I returned them. First, the size 8 was too big, even though I consistently wear an 8 or an 8 1/2. Second, there is a stiff tag sewn into the shoes' inside seams, right where the side of your foot falls. It's inconceivable that they couldn't put the information on the tag somewhere where it won't irritate your foot. Also, without the LL Bean label on the outside of the shoes, I wouldn't have been able to tell which was the right shoe and which was the left. They have no discernible difference in their shapes. Very disappointing.

I normally wear between 9.5 and 10, medium-width shoes. The ordering instructions said to order up for half sizes, so I ordered size 10. After waiting for weeks, these slippers finally arrived, and the box includes a card saying that they should fit snugly at first. Despite that, though, they are miles too big - in length and especially in width, even if I wear thick wool socks. I cannot walk in them because they are so floppy. They are going straight back and I'm not going to bother ordering another pair. I used to be able to order anything from LL Bean and have the sizing be correct, but my last few orders have all been disappointments. No more ordering by mail for me.

I received these slippers as a gift. They ran small. they were not warm and the soles were very thin. I returned them. Would not recommend them to a friend.

My husband and I have been wearing these slippers for years - we always each get a new pair in the fall - and for years they have truly been Wicked Good. For years the new slippers have arrived with plush, fluffy sheepskin interiors that are awesomely comfortable. But this year we are both very disappointed; this year the slippers are only Kinda OK. Our new pairs have sparse wool interiors, to the point that the slippers are too big to start (we have to wear them with socks to keep them on our feet). The interiors are so sparse that they are actually less fluffy than the year-old, well-worn pairs that we are replacing. Very disappointing! I think we'll be looking to other companies to purchase our next pairs...these just don't measure up to what we've come to expect from L.L. Bean.

I waited for these for two months, but they didn't fit even though they are the same size I have ordered from LL Bean before. I had the mocassins with the laces, but the laces kept coming untied, so I bought these. Unfortunately, they are too narrow and too short, so I am sending them back.

Although these are extremely warm and comfortable they will not hold up. The past 2 pairs we have purchased have not even lasted a full winter season let alone an entire year. This is an expensive pair of slippers to not even last a year. They literally fall apart. Please see photos.

I loved these slippers during most of the 2 years I had them. My dissatisfaction is due to the shearling lining bunching up and wearing unevenly. This caused it to feel as though I was walking on large pebbles. I have feet issues anyway so it became excruciating. But the worst part was that, when I returned them, I was reminded the Bean had modified their return policy so that you can only return purchases (even with defects) within 1 year! I understand that some people took advantage of the old return policy but I never did, and it felt like a slap in the face.

Years ago my husband had these slippers. They were so great I ordered a pair. I have worn them every day for years. Finally the wool in the heel and toes has worn thin so,I decided time for another pair. Let me add there is nothing else wrong with them, I just wanted more warmth. I was so disappointed. The overall quality has deteriorated, but the saddest thing is there is so little fur inside I may as well continue wearing my old ones.

I ordered these slippers because I have worn the Wickedly good moccasin style for 40 years. I always loved them however for some reason the laces do not stay tied no matter what. This seemed to happen with the last few slippers I bought. I decided to try these. Very disappointed as the heel had almost no shearling. It felt like my ankles would get blisters and it was the first time I tried it on. It would be nice to have this fixed. Also, they are very mannish looking so they should be prettied up a bit... different colors maybe? - Eileen

I wear these as true slippers. They do not go outside of my house. I do wear them daily when I arrive home from work. They are already falling apart. They are 3 months shy of lasting a year. I do feel the quality of this product for the price you pay has gone downhill.

Disappointed. I've only had them for one week. I only wear slippers in the evenings and the sheepskin lining of the slipper has bunched making them very uncomfortable. I will be returning.

The slippers were very clumsy. I had to return them because the seams inside the shoe were bulky & very irritating.

Wanted to love these slippers, but they don't seem to be styled for left foot/right foot. Both slippers are identical with the result they don''t really fit very well. I can wear either slipper on either foot. Have had them for a while now and find myself not wearing them. Too late to return them unfortunately.

Nice slipper but sizing is off - heel slips out when i walk. Back of heel has hardly any fleece. Too bad we have to pay to return for an exchange - would have tried a size down since half sizes not offered. Potentially would have to pay for two returns. Sadly returning.

I loved the show and it was well made but with only a few steps on my carpet, I could tell that the shoe didn't stay on my heel. And it was certainly about the right size; perhaps a 1/2 size too short. Not staying on made them not usable.

I've been wearing Bean slippers for the past 8 years, and I LOVE them, and some days can't wait to get home to put them on, but the quality seems to be getting poorer every time I reorder. The first pair lasted 5 years, before the upper started coming detached from the sole. I have now had to order a new pair every year since, and some I've returned because they've only lasted a few months before developing holes! This is with everyday, inside-only wear for probably 6 months out of the year. I feel like I should get 2-3 years out of them for the price and materials. A huge plus side is the guarantee policy, but I've tried two different styles now, and they were both the same. This pair, the shearling on the insole wore down pretty fast too. Sad to say it, but it's time to try a different brand.

Two stars because the slipper seems like it will hold up and would be nice and comfortable, but the fit is way off. I solidly take a 9 1/2, but ordered a half size up because of the instructions. These slippers were way, way too big, especially after the lining packed down after a few wears. Impossible to wear; they fell off my feet. I took them back to the store and was going to exchange for the 9, but they were out of stock. So I tried on other sizes of this exact slipper in the store and the 8 seemed to fit snugly but fine, as suggested. Because of some online deals, I ordered a size 8 online, and when it came, I could barely get it on. I thought maybe the lining would decrease as before, but those slippers just hurt my feet intolerably, even after 2 inside the house wearings. I am done ordering slippers from LL Bean - if they can't get the sizing consistent, I will go elsewhere. Plus, there's a tag inside that would be hard to remove, and it scratches. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a pair of slippers.

I order these and really loved them until the fabric came apart from the sole in 3 months. LLBean replaced them and the second pair lasted a year. They are very comfortable and warm, but I think they should last more than a year (I only wear them inside in winter).

After 10+ years of wearing the Wicked Good Moccasin, a wonderful gift from my dad, it was time to buy a new pair. I bought the Venetian Slippers this time, and was thrilled with their warmth and comfort. Six months after wearing only part time (I was still wearing the first pair on some days), the front of one just busted open. My toes can now feel the breeze. I looked inside, and a lot of the fur is missing from the bottom of the busted one. It looks as if either the material was sewn too close to the edge, or it was defective from the start. I definitely think the durability has gone down hill. I wouldn't buy these again unless I could inspect them in person first. Would love to recommend, but again, must inspect quality of the material first.
