The cat on these is adorable. Love it! The lining on these is odd, though. It is a synthetic fleece. When I first got these, the lining felt and smelled like plastic, and did not breathe at all. I decided to return them, and then decided to try washing the lining gently. The plastic odor went away. I live in Florida and rarely wear socks with slippers, and wore a thin cotton sock for a few days. Then I realized that the arch support was truly minimal; better than memory foam slippers, but barely there. So I added 3/4 arch supports which cover most of the plastic feel of the lining. The toe box room is good, height and width, as is the instep. The rubber sole is good. And they have a bit of a heel that holds your foot in. Wish they were machine washable. I would recommend them to cat lovers, but the slipper itself needs too many modifications for me to recommend them as a slipper.

I was delighted by the design of the slippers, but the size was completely wrong for me. I wear 8 1/2 so I ordered the 8 hoping it wouldn't be too small. It was way too large. Couldn't keep it on. I would love to recommend it for the style but the size issue is puzzling.

These slippers were the correct length, but entirely too narrow. Many comments said they were large. Nope!

I bought a pair of these slippers a few years ago. Loved them, but now need a new pair. However, I can't stand the silly motif on every color and refuse to buy them. I would recommend these to anyone if you bring back the solid colors and get rid of the motif. Please bring back the solid colors!

I bought my usual size with the Labrador, but they were too large and just weren't comfortable. I returned them. May try the moccasin slippers that I bought for my husband. He loves those.

I had ordered the "Green Moose" and "Rustic Blue Bear" scuffs for me and my friend to be opened on Christmas eve for us to wear on Christmas day. Luckily, I opened them to check them out and was so disappointed with the colors. They did not look anything like you see on the website. The blue was a grayish blue and not anything like the bright blue displayed. The green was more of a brownish green and not close to the green displayed. I will be returning them. I just went to the website to enter my review and saw they have two other "Rustic Blue" scuffs - tree frog and sand dollar/starfish. They look just like what was displayed with the bear so beware, they may not be same color as what you will receive. I would caution you to call LLBean to get a better description of the color before you order.

I was very disappointed in these slippers. The appliques were poorly stitched and I had to super glue them on. VERY LITTLE padding. Like walking on cardboard. Quality sure has gone down with all the out sourcing to China.

I've had these slippers about three months now. They are attractive and comfortable. I usually wear them without socks. The nap on the inside has become very matted down. And with occasional natural foot perspiration the insides smell unpleasant. These can only be spot cleaned, which means I am stuck with basically worn out slippers after only three months use.

I love the rubber soles, warm lining and the cute racoon on these slippers. My only warning is please for all that is holy wear these with socks!!! I made the mistake of wearing these toasty things all the time while running around the house without socks and within weeks they smelled so awful! My husband would tell me to "put your feet away!". The blanket I kept on the couch to snuggle with soon smelled like a pickle from being near my feet. I was horrified when I read they were not to be washed. Who makes shoes you cant wash??? When my shoes became so smelly that I could smell them in my sleep I knew what had to be done. I checked reviews where others had successfully washed them and gave it a shot. They are now smelling 90% better after a wash and hopefully I can enjoy them again but this time, wearing socks.

I bought these as a holiday gift for my brother's girlfriend who wears a size 7.5 shoe. Based on the sizing guidelines, it was recommended I size up to an 8. I did and when they came, they were absolutely huge. I wear an 8.5-9 and they were too big for me. Needless to say I was disappointed and when I went to exchange them they were backordered until March. Ended up buying slippers elsewhere.

These are my favorite slippers that I wear whenever I am home. Have given them to family and friends. What happened to solid charcoal? They are so comfortable. Do not want animal motifs on shoes. Ready for another pair but hoping you will bring back charcoal solids.

After reading all the reviews I ordered a size up . I wear 7 1/2 so I ordered an 8. I thought since I was planning on wearing socks the 8 would work. Wrong. These cute slippers were sooo big on my feet--wide and a little long, that I figured a size 7 might not be big enough for sox so I sadly had to return them. Also they really didn't have any soft lining to speak of. I also wondered why they had to come with any animal. Plain would have been great. Sorry LLBean. I've rarely had to return anything in the 40 plus years I've been a customer but this one surely was not your best. So many people loved these slippers according to the reviews that I recommend them to anyone whom they fit. They certainly are solidly made. But thanks for your great customer service.

I really wanted to love these scuffs more that I did because they are so darn cute and cozy but they made my feet so hot that I was often sweating in them which lead to some stinky slippers. Unfortunately, they are not machine washable so I'll have to get rid of them. The sizing was ok - the width for my wide feet was great but the top band of the slipper was tight (I do have a high instep though) which never stretched, as I thought it would have. Back to my trusty wicked good mocs this coming winter!

While most the items I have purchased from LL Bean are satisfactory, I returned these slippers. The lobster design reminded me of the two summers I spent near Bar Harbor playing in the orchestra for a conducting camp many years ago while staying with a delightful local hostess who treated us to tea at Jordan Pond. The soles were stiff and the slippers a bit on the large side, both wide and long. I ordered the half size up as suggested (size 9). Only whole sizes were offered.

These slippers are cute and comfortable. However, the outer wool is not staying on the slipper. It is quickly "flaking" off causing them to look old and worn. This is very disappointing because they will not last like my wicked good slippers did.

I had a pair of these slippers and decided to try another, but sadly the same issue with the exterior material - it starts wear like a sweater where it looks frayed or has this fuzzy look to it. I realize they won't stay as pristine but maybe consider another material on the outside that wears better.

I love the design (chickadees) but the poly fleece lining makes my feet sweat. The fit is somewhat small. I waer a 7.5 or 8, got the 8 -- too short. However, the slippers are more supportive than the real shearling pairs that I have gotten in the past. Not worth the price.

Nice slippers to look at but very stiff and uncomfortable to walk in. Wanted to like them but just didn't feel comfortable. Also the back where the heel hit hurt my heel.

My husband bought me these slippers last year for Christmas and they were great for awhile. I live in Florida so it's not like I wore them a ton, but this year, the insulation was not as cozy and they started making my feet smell. I washed them and dried them out in the sun (which took days to dry), but it didn't help. The smell is not good. I definitely don't feel like they're as comfortable anymore either. I have the wicked good moccasins and don't have any of those problems with them, so I'm going back to that style.

Lovely pattern. No support. No heel so your foot slides out.

This is the second pair of Daybreak Scuffs I've bought. The first pair developed a hole in the toe area while the rest of the scuff no real signs of wear and tear. I keep my nails on the short side so was surprised at that. The hole started on the outside-not the inside of the slipper. They were comfortable-My foot fit perfectly in them-heel didn't slide off, kept my feet warm. The second pair I purchased developed a hole in the same place in a short period of time. I am extremely disappointed. I will not purchase another pair of these.

They run small. You will need to order up a size. The returns are a pain. In lieu of a refund to my card, they send gift cards less the shipping fee for the return. I ordered a pair for each daughter. Thus far, only ONE gift card sent to ONE daughter. The other daughter is still waiting for her gift card. Infuriated@! Ordered size 9 and 10

Beautiful slippers but uncomfortable. Too wide so my foot slipped around and even more importantly there is a lack of footbed/any arch support. Disappointing because they really are pretty but when I change to slippers when I enter the house I want them to be comfortable and supportive. Returned.

Returned for exchange. Although the size of each scuff was correct, they clearly were not a pair. For the price, they should at least look alike(shape wise).
