These slippers were requested as a gift. The fit was said to be good and there appears to be no defects. The weather resistant sole is great for running out to get the mail or chasing after the dog that ran out after the mail carrier. My only hesitation on giving 5 stars is that the "imported" slippers run price wise the same as similar slippers made here in the U.S. I wish L.L. Bean offered more American made items.

I'm enjoying my new scuffs, the first such pair I've ever owned. As I've aged I've wanted to be able to just pop my feet into a pair of slippers and go rather than having to pull up the backs over my heels.
If I were buying these again today, I'd go a 1/2 size larger as these are a tad shorter than I like but I'm still quite pleased with my purchase.

The generous sizing and low back heel make for a "flip flop" effect while walking. The hard sole also produces sound while walking on hard surfaces. Overall, they are comfortable and easy to slip on and off.

If only these fit like the moccasins that have the laces on them.
I had a pair of the tradition moccasins and I loved them, however, the laces always came undone and the leather finally gave out and ripped.
I bought these because they look just like the ones I had, but without laces. The only problem is that the back of the slipper doesn't wrap around your heel. It kind of feels like they aren't always quite on, although they are nonetheless warm and cozy. If they made these as a full on shoe they would be perfect.

It would be nice if they came in half sizes. They would be easier to get on.

They may be comfortable for men with no problem with flat feet, but unfortunately that is a problem I have and there is no arch support in these slippers. Other than that they seem to be well made.

I bought these slippers for my dad who just went into a nursing home. He is very unsteady on his feet and needed slippers to slip into from his bathroom to his bed. I got these hoping he would be able to slip them on but they were too tight in the toes and the lip in the back was making it difficult for him to walk. I was a little disappointed that it didn't work for him.

I returned these because, while they were warm and soft, the tag was annoying. I also bought a robe from here and it was the same situation, seems like LL Bean has a major oversight in poor tag placement and also tags that are super hard. I saw many other reviews comment on the tag.

Nice slippers, and comfortable. However I discovered that I really need arch support, and these don't have it

I ordered these because my prior pair last about 5 years before the lining started to wear out. (purchased when satisfaction was guaranteed, and not for just a year - I didn't take advantage of replacing as I thought I definitely got my $ worth)
The new pair stayed in the box until the old pair were well worn and looking it too. Lining on the new pair is starting to wear out after only using for about the past ten months. Not sure if I'll try a 3rd pair yet. Hoping the quality of the 1st is standard and the 2nd a fluke.

was looking for another great pair of LL Bean slippers, but these are "scuffs", i.e. heels slip out almost immediately when walking. OK I guess for someone not looking for heel to stay in, but if looking for a true scuff, just buy a pair with no heel at all. My bad for not noticing the term "scuff". Now I know.

I bought these for my husband in 6/21. He just showed me where the lining has completely worn out in the toe box area and the outside has ripped by the seam on one side. They did not even last a year. I expect more from L.L. Bean. I guess they don't make them like they used to.

Did not come up high enough in the heel. So they do not fit tight.

Seemed good quality and I liked the look. I'm a 10.5 and these wouldn't stay on my feet. The back of the heel could be a half inch higher and the part going over the top of the foot should go farther up the foot so half-sizes don't try to fall off as you walk. Returned

I recently purchased the Men's Wicked Good Scuffs. I own a pair of Bean slippers that I've had close to 10 years, so when it came to replace my slippers, it was a no brainer for me - LL Bean slippers. I decided on the scuff in the green, as I absolutely loved the color. When the slippers arrived I couldn't wait to put them on! As soon as I took them out of the box I was immediately drawn to the great color and the shearling liner. This is where the positives stopped.
When I put them on my feet, the first thing I noticed and felt was the tag inside each slipper located right on the inside arch of my foot. Each tag literally jabbed my feet. They were so uncomfortable I didn't enjoy wearing them without socks. I tried for several days to wear the slippers with the tags in hoping the tags would soften, but they didn't. I ended up tearing the tag out of each slipper. I honestly don't know if this ruins the structure of each slipper or not, but the slippers were unbearable to wear with the tags in them.
Like you read in many other reviews (and as noted on a card inside the slipper's box) the slippers are tight, but I'm hoping after a break in period they will fit. I wear a size 11 and purchased a size 11. I'm skeptical they will stretch enough to properly fit my foot, but we'll see.
I love LL Bean and it's products. Have owned boots, jackets, sweaters, etc. and all have been outstanding. I'm discouraged about my initial impression of these scuffs. I hope they turn out well and I hope this review is helpful to you as you make your slipper purchase.

Unfortueately for me, while fit, finish and workmanship were fine, within an hour of putting them on I a got a rash on my right instep. I have had wool lined slippers before without incident, but I had to return these.

Great slipper except it was too short. We exchanged for the next size up and it was still too short! This has never happened before with LLBean.

Comfortable enough, but tends to feel like it is going to slip off the back of my foot.

I wanted something to just step into. I got it! However, my feet must be different sizes - or the scuffs are. The left one is fine, but the right one keeps falling off because the rear area is not grabbing my heel. 99% of my clothes come from Bean, and I'm always satisfied, but here's the exception that proves the rule.

Absolutely no issues with delivery. they arrived in good time and in good condition. The slippers were nice and of good quality, but they were too short for my husband's feet. -even with my ordering a size larger than usual for him. the ends of the shoes also slip easily off the heals. I'll be returning these in the near future for a different model. Still love LL Bean products, though. this just wasn't what i was looking for.

I ordered Scuffs even though a lot of reviews talked about the flimsy heel and the difficulty of keeping them on your feet. I thought people just didn't know about wearing scuffs and I have been wearing a pair of Minnetonka Scuffs for several years. They're no longer made (a big disappointment) so I bought the LL Bean version. The reviews were correct. The heel was flimsy and difficult to keep my feet in the slipper. I returned them and ordered the LL Bean Venetian Slipper. They are very nice, run true to size, but are not scuffs. I sure wish the Minnetonka scuffs were still available.

These slippers have no real heels, and as a result of their being so deep and fluffy, they fall right off your feet. You have to drag them along. I know that eventually they will "break in" to some extent, but I want a slipper that looks good and fits right the very first time. Very disappointed. Lack of a heel
is a serious design error.
