My typical size in everyday shoes is 9.5 N, plus my feet are low-voume. I've worn a pair of ECCO leather sneakers (size 10) for five or six years now. They obviously run narrow, because they fit me like gloves. The leather is buttery soft and they have held up beautifully. These ECCOS (Soft 7 Monochromatic 2.0) are not the same. They still run narrow, and the length in size 10 is perhaps slightly longer. The deal breaker is the leather, which is suprisingly stiff. They just aren't as comfortable, and I get heel slippage. Sorry, but ba-bye:-(

The shoes are so cute and I loved them but they were too stiff for summer.

I think if you have a narrow to narrow medium foot these will be very nice for you. However as my foot is a straight medium to medium wide they were not wide enough in the toe box. Still, mighty nice shoes!

I have 3 other pairs of the Ecco 7 but these (in white) were different. First, the white is a grayish white, not true white. Second, the leather is hard and stiff, unlike my other Ecco 7's. Because Ecco's run narrow it makes them uncomfortable even with looser laces. So my quest for a comfortable white lace up sneaker continues...

Usually a size 39 fits me well in Ecco shoes, but this pair is too small. It will especially not fit with winter socks.

I guess that this shoe would fit a medium width foot, but since 10% of reviewers thought it felt narrower than marked, I hoped that it would indeed run narrow. Unfortunately, at least in my size (11 in US/42), it was too wide. I actually have this shoe in another color and my pair is not quite as wide, so with a thick sock, I am OK. It is disappointing since it is getting impossible for women like me, with long but very slender feet, to find shoes that fit. I can't just walk into a store and find anything in my size. Thankfully, Zappos has a great return policy so that I don't have to pay $$$ for the "privilege" of trying on shoes.
