These shoes were great until the mesh on the top of the shoe ripped. My daughter is 10, and does normal activities, so I was really surprised when she came home with a giant rip on the top of her shoe. It was not caused by anything, just wearing them as normal to school. I should have taken a picture before I threw them away.

My daughter loved these shoes when she first got them. To me, they seemed like nice, quality shoes. My daughter has worn them every day since the beginning of the school year (7 weeks ago). They were comfortable, and she loved wearing them. Just yesterday, I noticed that the material on the top of the shoe has stretched and ripped. My daughter is not overly active or hard on the shoes. This happened from normal, every day use. I would have thought with the brand and the cost, they would have lasted a lot longer. I’m so disappointed.

Guess I should have read the reviews! Mesh totally falls apart/rips though in just a few months or normal wear. Really excited to be adding these to the landfill after barely any time, feels so wasteful.

These shoes lasted 1 week. Both sides in the exact same section ripped apart. The stitching or mesh is defective.

We had a tear in the fabric as well. Guess they were made cheaply. Will try another style next time.

After only a few months the material on the front of the shoe busted through. Poor quality fabric.

We bought these for my daughter 4 months ago and they are completely destroyed. We have NEVER had a pair of shoes fall apart like these - and with normal wear and tear. I am very disappointed in this shoe.

We have purchased this New Balance shoe twice before and it has held up beautifully. This shoe however is ripping at the seams way before its time. Disappointed since the style and fit is perfect. Will not buy again. The pictures of the shoe ripping that others have posted is accurate.

The fabric on the shoe is ripping. This pair was purchased on April 7, 2021. These photos show the condition of the shoe today - July 17, 2021. Based on the extent of the ripped fabric, it seems likely that this issue began weeks ago. My daughter has not outgrown this shoe. I am disappointed in the quality and durability of this shoe.

Loved these shoes for my daughter, but after 2 months of light wear the front sides by the toes completely blew out. She did normal kid things (running & playing on the playground) and they started wearing away…I had to throw them away. Disappointed in quality and will not go with NB again.

I’m very upset because I have not had them that long and the sides of the shoes are tearing.

Only had them for a month and they’re already ripping at the front part of the foot on each shoe!!

Horrible. Wore out in less than 3 months!!!!!

The heel of the shoe is stiff and hurts, the shoe itself has no cushion to it. Very uncomfortable tennis shoe for a kid who runs a lot.
