This is a great checked bag for airplane travel, or a bag for car camping. Super tough and durable, great bright green color, folds up super small for storage.

Wanted a duffle bag that I can use as a backpack while I ride to/from work and the gym. Just the size I needed. It's just a bit bigger than a standard size backpack, so you can pack a considerable amount more. I only wish it came with a long strap to carry over your shoulder like a duffle bag to but that doesn't take away from how I rate this bag. It's very nice material and just feels durable compared to bags I've had in the past. The style and quality makes this an any-day/everyday bag.

Took it out on an weekend adventure and it held up much better than I thought. Very durable, kept all the dirt and snow out. I handle the elements extremely well. Even thought it's a size S, I still had extra room to pack more than clothes in it. And I love the fact that I was able to carry it as a backpack or luggage when I need to while hiking thru.

Great bag. Sits nicely on the back. Wish that it had steel mini rollers in the base on the back so one can just pull it on the ground when required.

I love the bag - it's great for short trips and quick travel. Very simple design without many compartments, they do have another bag with those if you're looking for one though. If you're looking for durable and simple - it's a great choice. (More importantly get thermoball Vswhen they go on sale though, awesome shoes and hands down the best Northface product out there).

I am trekking to Iceland and needed a small bag to carry gear. I love the colors of the base camp duffel and the size of the bag! I also like how there is the option to carry it as a backpack or like a duffel bag. Will definitely get much use out of this!

Very bright colors! North face needs brighter colors for women, and this was perfect. Compact for travel and fits plenty of things for a 4 day trip

Great looking bag. I haven't used it yet, but I will very soon. I love that it is packable and comes with it's own storage bag.

Love it! Nice color and functionality. Only downside is that it's not intended for carrying your laptop. I knew that, but thought that the inner pocket was bigger and could fit my 13in laptop. Anyway, I place it on top of my clothes.

Use for day trips hiking through various National, State and local parks.

Medium was too big so reordered small and am happy! Small is just the right size to use as a backpack or travel on a plane with.

Got this to use as a gym bag. It's the perfect size and made of extremely durable material. I don't see this bag breaking or wearing out any time soon.

Carrying everything

My suitcase wheel broke, so I had to unload my luggage by buying the Northface base camp duffel s while in Madrid. I was pleased with its capacity; I fit almost my whole suitcase contents into it so I could still take my suitcase around and use the Base camp as my carry on. I realized it was pretty easy to move around streets in Europe with my Base Camp, because they are often cobblestones and uneven(which can ruin a suitcase wheels). On a subsequent trip, I used the Base Camp as my main bag on a two week trip to Argentina. Using packing cubes with my Base Camp, I'm starting to think this might be the way to go for most of my travels. I keep looking for something not to like about it. I've read about how a backpack is more comfortable; that may be true, but every time I've used my Base Camp, I have been pretty happy with how it carries. Further, it is much sturdier than most backpacks. Unlike backpacks, it loads on the side against your back, so it would be hard for anyone to access it while you were wearing it. Another plus is it carries easier than a pack if you do decide to carry it once in a while.
