Tons of pockets and storage. My child uses it for school. Only thing I'd like is if the pockets could stretch a little further to accommodate more books. But maybe that's really a problem with the teachers giving too many textbooks.

I recently purchased the North Face Surge backpack for my daily commute and outdoor adventures, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. This backpack combines functionality, durability, and style seamlessly, making it a standout choice for anyone in need of a reliable bag. Firstly, the design of the Surge is sleek and modern, with clean lines and a range of color options to suit any preference. The attention to detail is evident in the robust construction and high-quality materials used throughout. The padded shoulder straps and back panel provide excellent comfort, even when carrying heavy loads for extended periods. The organization features of the Surge are where it truly shines. The multiple compartments, including a dedicated laptop sleeve and a spacious main compartment, make it easy to keep my belongings neatly organized and easily accessible. The numerous pockets, both inside and out, are perfect for storing smaller items like keys, phone, and pens, ensuring I never have to dig around for essentials. In terms of durability, the Surge exceeds expectations. The tough, water-resistant fabric and reinforced stitching give me confidence that this backpack can withstand the rigors of daily use and outdoor adventures alike. Whether I'm hiking through , I know my belongings are well-protected. One standout feature of the Surge is its versatility. While primarily designed as a commuter backpack, it's equally suitable for weekend getaways or day hikes. The comfortable, breathable design keeps me feeling fresh even on long journeys, while the adjustable sternum strap and waist belt provide added stability when needeed Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the North Face Surge backpack. It combines style, functionality, and durability in a way that few other backpacks can match. Whether you're a busy professional, a weekend warrior, or an avid traveler, the Surge is sure to meet your needs and exceed y

This backpack is amazing. It is so convenient for school. I use it as an architecture student to haul my laptop, iPad, art supplies, a menagerie of other tech, snacks and much more. It's a little stiff, but I've only had it a few months, but the fabric feels high quality. Also, it doesn't actually stand up on its own for me which is slightly annoying .

Good quality. Feel like it needs one less pocket to make one of them bigger but it is what I bought and I am happy with it.

I got this for my middle school son when his cheap backpack started tearing all over. It's held up impressively well and little to no wear on it after a good while. It fits all his things (laptop, binders, pencil bag, etc) without being full and without looking massive. He loves it and I like a bag that will last him a few years!

Awesome back pack with a ton of space and a good form factor. I've used it for travel and lugging around camera equipment. The front two compartments were especially useful for quick access to camera/video equipment. I love the expandable side pockets they work great for large water bottles and tripods. One note for improvement is the soft lined pocket above the two quick access compartments - although water resistant is placement can make it difficult to get to quickly without fighting the zipper.

Super light backpack, love that it has so many pockets. Love that it has a large pocket that is lined for items that may scratch easily- perfect to throw your sunglasses in. Nice and sturdy pocket for laptops, didn't even need to use a laptop case. This will def be my go to backpack to travel with.

I absolutely love this backpack! The 30l size allows for ample space. Its durability is unmatched, partly due to unique strong nylon-type fabric. I use it outdoors exclusively, setting on the ground in the snow consistently, and no moisture has yet seeped into the interior of the backpack. All of the clasps are in the right place so the pack sits on my shoulders and mid-section very comfortably. I highly recommend this backpack and would buy it again easily.

This backpack holds all my work items, and still is large enough to carry my workout gear, lunch, headphones, and everything else that I need throughout the day. It is a replacement for an older North Face pack whose straps were failing at the connection to the pack. Hoping that this one holds up. It is far superior to the backpack that I was using in between the old North Face pack and the new one. I love all the extra pockets on the front that can hold chargers, E-Books, Tablets, and other things that never seem to be organized in a general large pocket.

Quality materials. Thoughtful design and versatile pockets. I use for work travel and it handles laptop, monitor, peripherals, cords, toiletries, headphones, food water and some travel clothes with ease. I'm really enjoying the organization and good looking durable design. Great bag for me so far. Haven't worn for long periods though straps are very comfortable and fit my body well.

I have owned 2 north face backpacks and the 1st was in 1980 the zipper needed to be replaced and I sent it in and it came back like new. I therefore decided with all of my choices to go back to purchase a second one which seems to be perfect for my pickleball gear. I'd highly recommend n f for anyone thinking of buying. 2 thumbs up!
