I have a 17 years old version of this bag for work and purchased this bag for my wife's work. She is a teacher and walks to school everyday. She loves it, except for a few threads that looks loose.

Perfect backpack for high school and college. Bought this for my senior - great support and durable. We'll made and should last many years. Will buy again for another family member.

I love this backpack for school; it fits a lot of books and it has tons of little compartments where I can store a lot of different items. It is also super comfortable to wear and carry around all day even when it is heavy. I do wish some of the zippers zipped more easily and that the fabric was more stretchy, but I am very happy with my purchase overall.

I've been using north face for several bags in the past 10-12 years. Never had an issue with quality, the bags will last you for years. This bag in particular is A great choice for anyone looking for pocket options, this bag provides many of those.

Great backpack for teaching! There are plenty of pockets for pens and I love that the laptop compartment is divided, I use the front half for loose papers so they don't get crumpled up

I use my North Face backpack when commuting to work on my bike.

I purchased this for my daughter to go hiking. It has been great so far. Very durable. It holds what she needs for the day.

Love the color, size, and comfort. Low key aesthetics are in style and this is dialed right in.

This was a gift for my daughters and she loved it, super low key yet on brand. Hopefully the 15 year old will take this to college one day...

I bought this since I'm a doctoral graduate student who travels in cities often. I thought I could use it for both school and travel. It's deceiving because it looks like it can hold so much, but it really doesn't. It's a long and narrow, so you have to stack everything up inside the backpack. I prefer backpacks that are wide where I can easily see everything. I'm 5'3" and it was too long for me, it kept uncomfortably hitting me in my tailbone. If you like long and narrow backpacks, this is perfect! If you prefer shorter and wider backpacks, keep searching. I gave it to my niece who is in college (and much taller than me) and she was thrilled because it was free. She's been using it and likes it

I use this pack for school. It's very comfortable and I love the strap design for boobs. It feels very durable and I do not think I will need a new backpack for a long time. One downside though, I wish the main compartment was a bit wider. It's lacking in space, especially considering the cost. Otherwise, I love the look and all of the different pockets for organizing small items.

I love Surge Northface backpacks. I have purchased multiple over the past several years for my kids in college. The backpacks take a beating and are very durable. The only thing that I don't like about this recent purchase are the pulls on the top zippers.

I really like the backpack. It's easy to organize things in it and it is comfortable to wear, and it seems very durable. The one drawback, for me personally, is that the main compartment is a bit narrow for my taste -- I like to pack and book and overnight clothes when I travel sometimes, and it is a little tight for that to be done easily. But I recommend this backpack.

Love this ba knack. However it seems smaller than the one I replaced.

This is a nice bag, great quality, just not the right bag for me. The back of the pack is padded/rigid and the laptop compartment is heavily padded leading to a heavy/sturdy bag but without much room left for other stuff.

Hiking, travel and outdoors. There's too much interior padding which cuts down on the roominess. You can't put as much stuff in it as I would like. Like the pockets!

I love all the pockets and the internal space is limited because of the excessive amount of padding. I don't use this back to hold any tech except for my phone. I only need the padding on my back and not in the inside. I would like more internal storage space. Other than, excellent backpack!

Everything is great but could be a little bigger.

My daughter and I got the same backpack for Christmas and we are united in our review. It's very well designed and engineered, but there are too many pockets, they are too fussy and specialized, and, while it's advertised as able to stand up on its own, it can't do that unless the main pocket is packed at the bottom, but one of the fussy pockets blocks the bottom of that main compartment. It is very light and the most comfortable to carry I've ever had. And it's purple, so many sins are forgiven.

Love all the pockets and how it fits on my back. So far, a solid backpack to hope to use for more years ahead.
