Lots of extra pockets for extra charges, school supplies, nice protective space for laptop and cords. Durable, yet lightweight!

It's the most lightweight and durable bag that I have ever owned. I tested the water resistance for four consecutive days under nonstop rain, and the inside was drier than ever.

I had bought the North Face Borealis previously and was not happy with the storage capacity for an under seat carry on. I returned that pack and kept looking. Then I saw this North Face Women's Surge, which fits the bill. More capacity (31 L v.s. 27 L) and more pockets for organization. I also love the Boysenberry color. Looking forward to using it on my next trip.

I love my new backpack! Sometimes I just throw a 10 LB weight in it with a bottle of water. The pack straps allow custom fit so it is so comfortable to wear on a long hike!

I'm in love with this backpack, it's beautiful and high quality, the back part is really stiff with was a little weird at first but its great for laptops/tablets. The water bottle pockets have a good size, and there are a lot of useful pockets. I wouldn't recommend it for situations you have to pack a lot, it has space but it's more to college or work. Would definitely buy again!

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter to use at school. Her first reaction was that it was "too nice" but then saw how functional it was. She also really appreciates the women's fit (and her chiropractor agreed).
