It's a sturdy backpack. Bonus is the beautiful green color.

Love love love this bag.

I am using this backpack for college, I walk a lot every day and the buckles help so much with evenly distributing the weight all over my body rather than just my shoulders. I would say the water bottle holders could be a bit bigger but my bottle still fits just a bit snug.

Has a lot of storage and it isn't too heavy on shoulders. The padding in the back is an added PLUS.

I use it for college. I carry my laptop, notebooks, lunch, bottle of water. So far so good! It's nice to have the padding on the back for extra comfort.

Sturdy, great material. Worth the money!

I absolutely love my bag. It's so comfortable. I purchased the Borealis in black, and the pink elastic was a nice pop of color. Thinking of getting one for my nephew for his bday!

Purchased for granddaughter for school. Since they don't use lockers in her school it meets her needs but most of ALL.....she loves it!!!!! Thanks North Face for helping Grandads like me out, easy to purchase and no hassle shipping!

Bought this as a school backpack from my sophomore - it is the perfect size for books, binders, a laptop and large water bottle! You can't go wrong with the quality of North Face!

I got this for high school for my 10th grade year and it is very amazing I love it. It is very spacious. Has a separate pocket of computer and also has a very soft small pocket for like your phone and like AirPods so they don't get scratched and the side pockets aren't mesh which I love Bc the backpacks with mesh often rip. Overall I love this backpack so much. Also you can adjust how big you want it. So like you can loosen the straps at the bottom to make more room.

I used this backpack to travel and it was amazing. Just wish I could fit more things in it.

The North Face is quite known for its durable products (such as jackets and backpacks) and this new school year, I was willing to try a new backpack. I chose the Borealis mainly for its bungee system when compared to the Recon and the Jester (price was a factor, of course). The day it came, I was a little upset about the visible size of the product, but I guessed that the compartments would be large enough to hold my school supplies. I own a 15.6'' laptop, which, unfortunately, did not fit inside the laptop sleeve. To say the least, I was disappointed. Such a high-quality backpack that I was looking forward to couldn't hold my Dell Inspiron. I later tried putting 4 1-inch binders in the large compartment, and it was a very tight fit, I wish it was roomier. I then put my laptop in the large compartment (after taking 1 binder out) and put the other binder in the dedicated laptop sleeve, that fit, somewhat, but that's not what it was designed to be. The front compartment, however, was perfect for what I needed along with the external zipper. But in the end, I still needed to return it (luckily there's a lifetime warranty in place). I'm assuming the new season Borealis isn't meant to fit a 15'' laptop, which was a fault on my end for not thoroughly reading the description, features, and details. I did want it to be my backpack till I graduated high school, but because there isn't much space I had to return it, and I didn't want my parents to have to buy an expensive backpack only for it to not fit my school stuff. However, if you don't need a large backpack, then this is the perfect one for you. All the features are promised. The new design is very attractive. It feels lightweight. The bag is top quality. But I now notice how small 27 liters is in person, so again, this was a fault on my end, I did want to write a review though to help. Maybe the men's version is different as for space, but I believe the only difference, other than it being 28L, is the way it fits the back of the person.

I bought this backpack as a fresh start for college and I already know I'm going to love it! I had my previous women's borealis backpack for six year and it held up so well. Only reason I got a new one was because I wanted a new color :)

Going back to school, yet everything in between hiking and cross country gear storage.

Love the new design. My kids had the previous version (which was great) but the new version is so much better! The back of the backpack is more comfortable, it's roomier, it can STAND UP on its own and the water bottle pockets are a much better material. This backpack is perfect for school

Love the way it fits and the back realy allows air circulation. Enough pockets and fits computer lunch and water bottle along with extra shoes.

Best backpack ever! Looks so well-made and i love how it has so many tiny compartments for things! Highly recommend
