Bought for high schooler. This is our second one as the product is well made and really holds up. Great style and capable of holding everything they need. Can get a few years of heavy books and well traveled with slinging and throwing down to boot..

The backpack is extremely durable and really protects my daughter's laptop. With her laptop, textbooks and notebooks, the padded shoulders and back make it comfortable to wear. I don't worry about her neck and shoulders being affected by the weight. I'm glad she has a backpack that will take her through the rest of high school, into college and beyond!

All 3 of my kids are using this style backpack for school and it lasts for all of high school. Strong, comfortable. The different compartments work perfectly for laptop, school supplies and notebooks.

This is our second Borealis backpack we have purchased, and I will say the side pockets not being mesh was a very good change! The tie/string/bungee on the front can make the room a little tight, but I believe you can loosen it. So far, my 15 y/o loves the backpack!
