The Park Avenue shoe is really a very classic traditional shoe that will never go out of style. The shoe is very comfortable and a solid investment for your feet.

I bought my first pair of AE with this shoe a couple weeks ago. It is just like what everyone says: this is the truly classic shoe. It has the looks and style. Time will tell how durable it is, but so far I am in love with it.

Black Park Avenue Cap Toe. This should be my 2nd pair, or your first if you normally wear suit. Supposedly this has been a choice for Presidents (except Obama) for inauguration.
Very comfortable. Very formal. A lot of authority on your personality.

I have several pairs of english handmade shoes; in a recent trip to NYC I saw a AE store and decided to give a try to the merlot Park Avenue. I was surprised that it has 6 eyelets, since tipically oxford shoes have 5. I tried a par on size 11 and was surprised with the comfort and looks. Last week I decided to use them for the first time and spected to change them at midday, but that wasn't needed, I spent 13 hours on them (after 10 miles running early in the morning) and my feet where very happy. My next purchase will be a pair of Strand in bourbon.

I purchased my first two pairs of Allen Edmonds while on a visit to Indiana this December, one of which was a pair of Park Aves. I noticed when I got them home and had worn them a couple of times that the left shoe seemed to have a bulge in the area of the ball of my foot. The right shoe fit like a glove. I sent an email to AE customer service and they provided a pre-paid UPS shipping label for me to return the shoes and ultimately provided a replacement pair. Great customer service, but considering they did all of this for a person who lives and works outside of the US, it is amazing customer service. I am grateful that AE live up to their reputation for quality and will be customer for life, so long as they keep building great shoes in the USA.

These shoes have genuine long lasting quality and attention to detail. Like the shoes my grandpa used to own and swear by for decades. The construction, fit, and finish are each beautiful and their cork soles make the bottom bottoms fit glove like just like the uppers.
Wonderful shoe! Can't wait to own some more down the road and support this great American company.

The shoe is not perfect. The shoe is just right. The Park av. Have increased the standard of any other model that to compare them will be unjust.

I've had a pair of brown Park Ave's for over two years. I wear them about 2-3 times a week and they still look great and feel amazing.

I purchased a pair of Bourbon Park Avenues recently. I was sized by AE staff as a 10D when I have been 10.5D since my teens. I decided to go with AE's opinion and ended up with a rather painful, yet beautiful shoe. AE staff were amazing about accepting this pair as a return several weeks later and I received a pair with the extra room I need. The shoes fit perfectly, and look great now. My only issue is that several AE staff members told me that Walnut is not the right polish for Park Avenues in Bourbon. I was also told to use a neutral polish for now, but my fear is that it will lighten this gorgeous shade of brown overtime. What polish/cream is the best for these shoes? Either way, I have been so impressed with this pair of shoes, I purchased my second pair of AEs and eagerly await their arrival. Thanks!

The Park Avenue is a classic business shoe and in black is a staple of the business wardrobe. The quality is high and the price reasonable for what you get. It polishes beautifully and is comfortable.
I look forward to years of service from this shoe.
It was a challenge getting the right size since it fits longer and narrower than the typical Brannock sizing, at least in my experience. It would be great if AE could post some kind of "conversion" between the various lasts and the Brannock sizing.

I'm awe struck by these shoes! Has to be the best men's dress shoe in it's price range ever made. Solidly constructed, high quality material, classic style, easy to care for and extremely confortable. What more could you ask for in a men's dress shoe! I have 4 pairs in various colors and can't wait to get another pair. It's almost got to the point where this is the only dress shoe I'll wear to work. And, to top it off, the fit is absolutely perfect. I love my Park Avenues and want to thank Allen Edmonds for making such an amazing dress shoe!

Bought my first pair of Park Avenues (Black) in 1984. Caught heck from my wife for spending that much on a pair of shoes. Had them recrafted three times over the next 25 years and finally retired them in 2009. In the interim, I added 3 more pairs in brown, walnut and merlot. When you find shoes this comfortable and versatile that cost about $30 a year to own, it would be foolish to buy anything else.

As a long time AE customer, some things just can't be improved upon. The Park Avenue is the one dress shoe that every man should have in their wardrobe. Distinguished, classic, & timeless - it set's the standard for any business or dress occasion. I always feel my best when I wear my Park Avenues.
Allen Edmonds are the best value for the money period. I have owned other brands but you cannot beat Allen Edmonds. The quality of materials, handmade construction here in the USA, and their customer service are excellent. The recrafting service is one of the best values they offer - try it, you'll be glad you did. I have turned several guys in my office on the AE brand.

I have been wearing the Park Avenue for many years, but had to wear a rubber-soled shoe during much of the winter when the sidewalks were wet. I recieved a pair with the new V tread tap sole about a month ago, and they are terrific. I have all of the comfort and style of the Park Avenue without worrying about the leather sole wicking up water, or wearing a clunky rubber sole. Highly recomnended.

You know exactly what you are getting with this shoe. No more no less. I have the Dark Brown in my collection with 4 other AE shoes. I wear these and my Strands a couple times each week. Can't go wrong.

Since most of us can't have every model AE puts out (not that it stops me from wishing), the Park Avenue is an easy choice. I have a pebbled Walnut pair that I can wear formally or informally, and they have lasted a long time, only getting better with age.

Park Ave was my first AE shoe - in black, I love it, I take great care of them and they look good enough to re-sell after 8 years walking in NYC. I did put some rubber on the soles to protect.

I own the Park Avenue in the Merlot color. I have narrow feet and narrow heels, and I'm glad I've found a good shoe that actually fits my feet and has the quality craftsmanship that will make it last for years. The very first time I wore these shoes out of the house, I received multiple comments on them. Great shoes.

I have had the shoe since 2008 and had to recraft once. The shoe fits great. The quality is excellent and the look is classic. I have no complaints.
Unfortunately, I walked in the snow and salt damaged the leather. A cobbler said he may be able to remove the salt from the leather and resurface. I am hopeful he can.
Overall, a great classic quality shoe.

I could not be more satisfied with the Park Avenue. I bought this shoe specifically for job interviews, and it serves that role perfectly. It looks amazing and the comfort level is great as well. I have not had these very long, but I am confident that they will last for many years as long as I do my part. Allen Edmonds has earned a loyal customer, and I look forward to making future purchases.

I have worn Allen Edmonds Park Avenue shoes continuously since 1986, and I am pleased to note that I have only purchased five pairs in 27 years. In 1986, the Park Avenue was already established as a timeless style, and certainly was the right shoe for an aspiring young stockbroker. In 2013, as I approach retirement from a different career, I still wear these fine shoes daily. With the exception of a pair of vintage Fifth Avenues that I still wear regularly, I have never been tempted to buy any other dress shoe.
What is the reason for my loyalty to Allen Edmonds and the Park Avenue? Comfort has to be the primary reason, for sure, but there is much more to like about these shoes. I remember that when I was first fitted for two new pairs in 1986. I realized immediately that they felt better than any dress shoe that I had previously owned. I had been accustomed to having to "break in" new shoes, enduring a few days of discomfort before the shoes finally conformed to the shape of my feet. This was completely unnecessary with these high quality shoes. They were comfortable right out of the box, still comfortable after 10 to 12 hours of daily wear, and yes, still comfortable after more than 5 years.
Five years is a very conservative estimate of the expected life of a pair of Park Avenues, in my experience. I always have at least two pairs of Park Avenues and one Fifth Avenue which are rotated in my wardrobe, allowing for rest and proper care. Occasionally, of course, one pair may be out at the cobbler's shop to be re-soled and renewed. They return looking almost "as new," and ready for at least a couple more years of use.
Owning this shoes has taught me the value of spending a little more to purchase goods of the finest quality. It is true, you will spend less in the long run, and every day you will be reminded of the wisdom of your decision.

I am in the infantry for the US Marine, and I know the importance of quality shoes. I bought my Park Avenues for my wedding day. They looked perfect with my suit, and were comfortable all day long. I love my Alan Edmond shoes, and wear them every chance I get. They are perfect for dressing up a suit, or casual with a pair of jeans. I would recommend Alan Edmonds over every other mens shoe brand.

I got these 2 years ago in Burnished Brown. They are the best looking dress shoes I've ever owned. They are classic, subtle and timeless. The quality is fantastic - I've never had a pair of shoes that look brand new after a 5-10 minute shoe shine. After 2 years, they look brand new and haven't required any resoling or re-heeling.
This pair led me to purchase a black pair of MCallisters and next month, I'm getting a black Park Avenue.

I went to the shoe store to take a look at the Long Branch. The gentleman who helped me was dressed in a well-fitted charcoal grey suit with cap-toe oxfords in black. He tells me he's been wearing the same pair of dress shoes for 30 years. He tells me he would never wear anything different. And that pair of shoes is the Park Avenue.
Timeless. Classic. They are not trendy. Not pointed like the peacock shoes around eerily similar to women's shoes. 30 years from now the Park Avenue will still be classic.
