These shoes are amazing for my son who wears orthotics! It's so hard to find him shoes that fit him altogether. These fit beautifully, they are comfortable, cute style, and he can be independent because of the zippers. Just what we needed. I would give a 5 star review in a flash, just these shoes don't last so long. After 5-6 months they have holes through and through and/or the zipper goes. But Billy's has amazing costumer service and is happy to help out when they can! They get a 5 star in service. Overall, I still buy these shoes for all the benefits and tell myself I will have to get them a bit more often then I had to but him shoes in the past. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. Thanks for an amazing shoe!!!!

My 6y son wears SMO (orthotics) and although these are “wide” and fit- I wish they’d sell extra wide so we wouldn’t have to buy a size up or fear the zipper will wear out around the SMO. Taking out the insole helps, but I wish for more overall support. I wish they had more fabric patterns for wide shoe as well. Overall these are the first shoes to fit the SMOs without taking 3+ minute per foot of straining and battling to get feet inside.

fit was large. The zipper won't zip, stops on the curves and just won't move freely making these useless

I shopped locally and online and these were the only shoes that I could fit his AFO's in without too much of a hassle. I ordered the regular Billy high tops and the WDR Wide high tops to see which one would work better with my son's AFO's. The WDR high top is deeper and fits his AFO's much better, he had a hard time zipping the classic high tops. He has had the shoes for about 3 months and I am not sure how much wear he will be able to get out of them. I had to take both insoles out for his AFO's to fit and it looks like he is going to wear a square-shaped hole into the sole of the shoes soon. Once you take out the insoles there is only a thin cloth material that is between the brace and the rubber sole material. You can see the squiggly and square designs of the rubber coming through the thin cloth in the pictures. I am not crazy about the shoes being cloth because the play area at his school has sand and I have to wipe his shoes down almost daily and they still look dusty. He has the all-black pair because he plays hard and gets shoes really dirty. I wish there were more colors available in the WDR, there were non-cloth options, and also other choices that don't have white soles.

I bought these b/c I thought this was the style my son needed for his AFO. He didn't like them at all and we were able to fit his AFO in a regular Billy jogger.

My daughter has a small bunion so I always buy her wide shoes. Also, she recently got an AFO for lateral support. I could barely get these onto her foot without the orthotic, there was absolutely no way it was happening with it on. I even ordered multiple sizes. The idea and style of the shoe is GREAT. The just need to produce ones that actually are wide and deep enough for their purpose.

fit was fine, look was great, but fell apart after 1 use at the toe

These are one of the few little kids shoes that come in wide width. We got them for that reason. My son wears them about two or three times a week and they're falling apart after less than three months.

Material felt stiff and some thread are coming off before he even put them on the first time to try them; the zipper was not working smoothly and the EXtra Wide felt like just a Medium or Wide. It is narrower than his other brand of Orthotics shoes. I love the style because of the zipper which goes around but then again, the zipper wasn’t working well. As a regular shoes, this may work well for my son only if the zipper runs smoothly.

We have been having issues we Billy shoes lately. We have ordered 10 plus pairs and the last few have been made poorly. Zappos has been awesome but the quality seems to not be as it was. Last pair only a month old and got to giant holes in the bottom.very strange!!

Shoe fell apart at the zipper within 3 uses. Not a very durable shoe for the price it’s at. I managed to sew the fabric back to the zipper by hand and we’ve been able to continue using but I’m expecting them to begin to fall apart again any day now.

We love Billy's style...but they are not made well. They fit my son who has a lift in his shoe PERFECTLY. BUT this is the second pair we have ordered and have broken. The zipper pulls away from the material leaving gaping holes around the zipper in multiple places. So glad ZAppos has AMAZING customer service and have gotten us a refund, but the shoes are definitely flawed :(

This was the shoe I was looking for for daughter who has a foot brace for toe walking. Unfortunately same issue I've seen others talk about, zipper at the front ripped very quickly.

These shoes fell apart within 3 months of my 7yr old wearing them. Same place as other reviewers mentioned at the seam, large hole. Will not buy this brand again. This is the 1st time we have had a pair of shoes fall apart so quickly!

We received these shoes on October 1. Less than 6 weeks later and it looks like they've been to war rather than to kindergarten. The toe ripped in these and the rest of the shoe is in bad shape too. Hugely overpriced for the quality of the shoe.

There was a hole in the sole within just two months despite these shoes being barely worn. Not durable at all!

They have ripped at the seam of the zipper already, both right and left!
