My grandson loves the slippers except they are always coming untied> Very annoying!

These are really cute. Very cozy. Color is especially good. They won't show dirt badly and the lavender trim is really pretty. I bought them for my 7 yr. Old grand daughter and she loves them. But the ties are always coming untied, no matter how much we tightened them, and it drives both of us crazy.

Bought for our daughter, we have bought these slippers on two other occasions because they fit well, are super warm.
The fit and the leather surface means our daughter can run up and down the stairs without worrying about slipping and tripping.
Excellent quality slipper, it never wears out, and has been passed on and on to kids as they grow out of them

It pains me to say this but I don't think I'd recommend these. We bought these for our almost 5 y/o. Originally purchased the clog slippers but she had a hard time walking and keeping them on her feet so we bought these. They do run narrow. She's normally a 10 and we had to go up to a 12 for her to get her feet in them. This isn't really a big deal. What bothers me is they are constantly coming untied! I try to double knot them but the laces aren't really long enough to do that. Really dissapointed that it happens so often. We'll keep them because she loves them (purple and grey! how could you not love them). But i would't recommend them, unless you're ok with retying them constantly.

Ordered these for my son who usually wears a size 6 kids. The length is fine, but they are very narrow. He loves the slippers, so we are going to exchange them for a men's size 7.

My son loves the comfy lining of these slippers, but he won't be able to wear them. They are short in the back which means they do not stay on the heel well as he walks in them. We tried two sizes, and both fit the same way in the heel. We are sad to see them go because in all other aspects they are wonderful, but he will be frustrated by slippers that won't stay on.

While I cannot speak to the lasting comfort of these for kids (I am planning on buying them for my three kids this winter, so maybe I'll come back with another review then), this review is about my experience as an adult buying shoes made for kids. I ordered the red/bright pink color in a kids 5 for my 7.5-8 feet. Day 1 they were snug and squeaky and I wondered if I'd made a mistake. By day 2 they felt like heaven, stretched nicely, and I have wide feet and a bunion (sad face). A week in the squeaking stopped too. I thought I'd gotten away with something, getting these cheerful comfy slippers at less than half the cost of their adult counterpart. However, after only a month and a half of wear (for making coffee before work and evening lounging, plus a bit of heavier wear standing around cooking some days, but nothing I'd consider excessive), I have some issues. First, the shearling at the heels is pretty worn down to the point where I can see through it to the insole. Second, at the back of the slipper at the achilles, the wool is very thin where it attaches to the suede and I've experienced some uncomfortable rubbing. I have very high arches, and the shearling under my arches looks pristine and new while the heels and toe box are very worn. I don't know, perhaps these weren't designed to be worn by adults. However, the sizing range suggests they'd at least considered older kids weighing over 100 lbs; I weigh 110, so I feel these shouldn't be so worn out after < 2 months. They definitely won't last more than 1 season for me. The heels/ toe box/Achilles would need more substantial lining and more structural support. Overall, well made, but while the lining is great at first, it doesn't hold up. For little kids should be sufficient, but next time I'll spring for the adult version for myself.

My son likes these but I can't stand the squeaky sound they make when walking on wood floors. Will probably be returning them and looking for a different pair.

I've purchased these in past years and been very pleased. The slipper lining had always been synthetic fleece and the fit was an average width. This year the lining has been upgraded to real fleece and now they're too tight and uncomfortable. Sadly, I had to return. The quality is good but now it's too tight for comfort even without sox. I would only recommend this for very narrow feet.

My daughter needs a sturdy indoor shoe for the Montessori school she goes to. She is just getting into size 10 shoes. Most 10s are still a little too big. These, which we got in size 10, were too small. She could barely get them on her foot. I'd just exchange for the next size up, but they are also very narrow. I just don't think they fit her right at all.
They also don't have a rubber sole on the bottom. She was saying they were slippery when she tried them on. I went to ll bean for a quality slipper, but that's not what I got here.

I bought these slippers for both of my children. Both complained that they were too narrow and one child (who I sized up for) said that they were too small. I was hoping they would like them because we have them in the adult sizes and like them a lot.

The slippers are so lovely and the materials look like quality. The interior is very soft. However, our child's foot is an average width and we cannot even get them on because they are so narrow. I saw some reviews mention this, but didn't imagine how bad it would be and assumed they had wide feet. I didn't imagine it would be impossible to get a foot in. I needed these for a particular situation too, and am greatly disappointed.

These slippers run big and seem stretched out a bit. They don't seem as good of quality as the adult ones.

I got these and another different pair of mocc's in the same order. Both are the same size. the other fit great and these are just uncomfortable. I did read that they are meant to be tight to keep your feet warm, but my feet hurt and the shoe is visibly much smaller. would certainly not accommodate most toe boxes

Hi! I'm that weirdo who comes back and writes a review a couple years after buying something! I've been wearing LL Bean's Wicked Good slippers for over a decade: always this same model. I bought my latest pair just a couple years ago - I always get the kids version because they're so much cheaper and I have small feet. I've just replaced this model with another one because these just aren't made like they used to be. After a couple years of wear, they're totally misshapen. The sides and heel cup are so low that, as they've been worn, they don't even really cover my foot anymore. The sides of my feet and heel are constantly cold. My feet do roll inward when I walk, and I'm hoping the model with a real sole and more structure will do better, but these just aren't great for people who don't have a perfectly normal stride, or for people with circulatory diseases that need more coverage.

Extremely disappointed. I decided to purchase these rather than replace the UGG slippers my child grew out of. They are flimsy and extremely poor quality. They are slightly narrow too. That isn't as much of a concern as they will stretch slightly as she wears them. Just overall poorly made. I would not purchase these again.

After reading reviews ordered a size up for my son. Sizing up was the right thing to do, however the slippers appear to be for the same foot as some of the other reviews state. Sadly, returning.

I wear a women's 6C shoe. I bought these slippers for myself because I found from past experience that children's footwear is a bit wider than women's. It has worked in the past, but not with these. They still are too narrow, after several tries with shoe stretchers, moistening the leather to help it stretch. If you would offer slippers (women's at least) in more than just "medium" width, so many of us would be grateful!

As others have said these are very narrow. Specifically I find that they are both narrow and not high enough across the midfoot/forefoot - squeezing the top of the foot down (on a kid with an average arch) even when I size up. Also there is a tag sewn into the shearling right at this tight point making it even more uncomfortable - LLBEAN wide sizes would be great, and please move or get rid of the tag! With these changes they will be excellent slippers - they are clearly high quality like all wicked good, but are unwearable due to the odd shape and tag!

I bought my son a pair for Christmas and they didn't fit. Being at home now and for his birthday I bought another pair. I should have followed the reviews about being narrow but they arrived yesterday and he was thrilled only to put them on and start crying because they were too narrow and hurt his feel. Is there another pair that is not as narrow?

If your children generally wear shoes, even in the house, or if they have very narrow feet, these might work.
I selected these slippers because of the leather sole. Scientists are discovering the disadvantage of rubber soles -- we are disconnected from the magnetic energy of the Earth's core. I was hoping leather-soled slippers might provide warmth and grounding at the same time.
However, they ended up being both loose and narrow. Because of how loose they are [even when tightened with the lace], they required shuffle-walking because of the length. The toe is rather pointy, so the toes cannot go near the tip, meaning that very little of the foot is under the front cover, meaning that most of the slipper is flopping behind.
If the footbed was widened and the front top cover [the boat shoe looking part] was extended toward the ankle, these would be awesome. Easy to slip on, leather sole, cozy as can be. We tried to figure out lots of ways to keep them, to no avail.

These slippers look and feel very nice, however the laces are not made well. No matter how tight or number of knots we made, they kept coming undone. My son who is 4.5 years old fell several times because of it. He not refuses to wear them

Everyone in my home has a pair of the "wicked good" slippers. Some are several years old and still look great. This pair arrived. Appearance, weirdly misshapen. Far too narrow, and sides too short. And what a silly place to place a white tag, sewn into each slipper. They couldn't even be cut out without damaging the lining. Ugh. What a waste of $. I chucked them into a donation box but I feel a bit bad about that!

The construction of these in the heal are terrible (very shallow). Because of this, the slippers barely stay on your feet. They look great but are not practically designed.
