Ok so I love my Bean Boots and decided to buy my wife a pair for Christmas. She never really considered anything with less than a 4in heel and not a fan of flats etc. So I figured these would be perfect for those sloppy days and snowy nights. In any event I purchased the tan/navy and let me tell you I WISH they made men's that color. Its a cobalt/lapis blue and really is complemented by the tan leather. VERY high quality and classy looking. Here is where it got tricky I had to pilfer through her shoes to find her true size. She had shoes from 7-8, so following the recommended LL Bean fit guide I went for the 7 (med B). I was a bit nervous but sure enough they fit and were a hit! She has worn them out several times and LOVES them. She honestly asked why she never even considered them and cant wait to wear in the mud ; ). Thanks LL Bean! You guys never let me down.

I had to return the size I ordered online because they run very large. I had ordered size 10 wide because I'm a size 10 1/2 and they do not come in half sizes. When they arrived they were huge. Luckily there was an L.L. Bean store nearby so I exchanged them in person and tried on the pair that was right for me. I ended up getting a size 9 which fits very well. These boots are more comfortable than I expected. Love them!

I really like that the boot is easy to pull off and put on. At 62 I do not want to struggle with footwear. The boots are comfortable and I get lots of compliments.

Great boots to keep for years for when it rains/ snows. I am typically a size 7.5 normal for everything except 7.5 wide for running shoes. I got a size 7 medium B and fits great!

Runs a bit large. Error on the side of it runs a bit big. I bought a size 8 for my niece but we had to exchange for a seven. She adores them, and with all the rain down South this year, they are very appreciated. I'm just jealous because I wear a 9.

She loved them, now we match! ( I have the men's version, same shoe). Always excellent quality, handmade stitching, unique style and awesome branding. I like the history! Can't wait to have more adventures with these!

I just love my new boots. I haven't had a pair since I was a teen, and they haven't changed. Still classic, comfy, and durable. Fit is just about true to size. I wear a 10 1/2, and ordered a 10. They fit well with thick rag wool/ cotton socks. LOVE THEM!

Love these boots! They are unlined, but with warm socks they have been perfect for Vermont winter. Look forward to testing them out in deeper snow. Usually wear a 8.5, but 8 is perfect.

I bought these boots for my daughter for college in Orono, Maine. The boots she had were not comfortable and too low cut. These boots were comfortable and the right height. She loves them, and I will replace them with another pair if and when she needs to do so.

I normally wear a size 7-71/2 so because they said that they run large, I ordered a 7. They fit perfectly with a slightly thicker sock. I would want to wear a thicker sock anyway because these boots are not lined. They are made beautifully. I highly recommend them. They don't run a whole size larger. Maybe just a half size.

The craftsmanship is impeccable and you can tell these boots are made to last. My husband bought the Sperry versions at the same time I bought my Bean Boots and there is a huge difference in quality. I've walked all over in these boots and no blister or problems, they've been the most comfortable. The size guide is pretty accurate although my family who also has the boots said it's a tad on the larger size if you go by the chart. I have plenty of room for a thick sock or two in the boot as well. These boots are my go to shoe during winter and I'm not sure how I'd gone as long as I did without them.

I've wanted these boots for years but wouldn't go to purchase them until the NYC winters were full-on brutal (Jan, Feb); alas, they would always be on backorder, and I'm stupidly impatient. This year, I planned ahead and ordered them in November, and I'm happy to say they have met my (high) expectations and I can now officially retire the Sorels I bought to hold their place. I'm a pretty reliable size 8, so I ordered a 7, and while that was the right call (I can't imagine going smaller) there is still a little room in there, though nothing tragic. I will say that, right out of the box, these guys were kind of a pain to put on and take off... The tongue is sewn shut to both sides of the shoe, which I know will be invaluable in inclement weather, but it does make the process of putting them on/taking them off a bit more difficult, at least until they are properly broken in. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I'm hoping that this gets easier the more I wear them (soon! soon! please!) because straining while bending over is quickly becoming a pipe dream. I also got the LL Bean boot guard because I'd like to keep these babies as long as possible, and I recommend doing the same. Since I've had them, there hasn't been any snow in New York, so I can't say how they hold up on that end, but they are great in the rain (again, get that leather boot guard!), they are super comfortable for trudging around the muddy park with my dog, and very easy to clean. Despite there being no snow, it still has been freezing cold, and these are sufficiently warm with a pair of thick SmartWool socks, though for colder climates you may want to go the Thinsulate route. Also, I have to say, they LOOK great. I was concerned about the 8" height with my petite frame at 5'3", but I really love them. Can't wait for them to break in more, I know they will look great with age.

My coworker convinced me to grab a pair of bean boots and they're the best purchase I made in 2018. I originally ordered a size 8, but ended up exchanging for a size 7. I love their versatility and can't wait to test them out come the DC winter.

Though the boots are a bit big, you're able to wear a thick sock under them. It's not my first pair, it won't be my last pair. Loyal L.L. Bean enthusiast!

When it comes to boots L.L. Bean is the thing. I would not buy anything else. This is a great boot (TM212880). I am wishing it comes back again in size 5.

Just wanted to say that I got these boots before I left for college at Appalachian State University in Boone NC. That was 29 years ago - 1989!! And they still look just as good as they did then. Highly recommend!!

I originally purchased these in a size 9 based on the sites recommendation (I usually wear a size 9.5 and wanted to be able to wear thick socks when the weather required) but when I got them they were rather large. I stuck with it because I needed them for work (at an animal shelter, walking dogs in all weather, not to mention running around the kennel area while it was being literally hosed down, but my feet always stayed dry!) Flash forward 2 years I decided to reach out to see about an exchange for size 8 after purchasing the Mocs in that size, and of course Bean's amazing customer service made it happen, and they fit perfectly! I can still wear thick socks for warmth, and they are comfortable even at work where I am required to stand in one place for hours (admittedly I don't have any foot problems though). If you're thinking about buying, do it, they are absolutely worth every penny. I would recommend trying to locate a store to try them on first but if you can't, go with a full size down. I wear 3 layers of socks on cold days including thick wool socks and still fit the 8's like a glove.
