These Bean boots are well made and waterproof. They have good traction, yet the soles don't trap mud the way my hiking boots do. They fit me if worn with very thick socks.

I tried on 2 different size 6 Mocs in Tyson's corner mall. Both had at least 2 finger widths in the back. I wear 6 or 6.5 medium shoes. I bought a pair of 6in size 6 boots. They are huge but I wear darn tough or thick smart wool socks and lace them pretty tight. Love them! Plenty of room to wiggle my toes. Ordered size 5 Mocs and the heels were huge but I tightened the laces, had to put on thin socks and they are too tight and my toes almost touch the end of shoe. Tried thin insoles still too tight. Wore them in house for a few hours. They are too tight, and the heels still slip a little. Maybe I can find either a wide 5 to fit or a narrow 6 because I really like how they look with jeans.

I love these Mocs, unfortunately they were too wide, even though I ordered a Narrow.

I wanted something to wear to early morning baseball games when the grass is covered in dew. I picked the tan and brown ones, they are adorable. They keep my feet dry and they don't make my feet hot later in the day. I love the look of these shoes. I gave them four stars not five because it's hard to get the correct size and you have to break them in. I normally wear an 8.5 or 9, but I got a 7 in these. The first time I wore them they rubbed my baby toes on each foot, almost to the point of blisters. I tried a 7 wide, but they were huge. I sent them back and wore my size regular size 7 another day. They were more comfortable that day. Each time I wear them, they get more comfortable. They just take some time to break in. I've ordered these in the light and dark blue as well. If the green ones go on sale, they'll be in my closet too!

I bought these Mocs in the spring for walking in the wet grass with my new puppy. I wear a size 9 but after reading the recommendations I ordered a size 8. I should have ordered a size 7. Even with socks they would be sloppy on my feet and my purpose for buying was to just slip them on quickly in wet weather. They're cute and well-made but run very big.

This is my second pair in about 9 years and I love them. The only issue I have with this pair is the upper leather seems a little long and rubs my ankle slightly. I'm hoping after that when it "relaxes" it'll be fine.

I've had these for several years (they may have adjusted sizing since CD medium is no longer an option) and they have become my favorite go to shoes for around the yard and running errands. I am normally an 8.5-9 with a medium-wide foot and narrow heel. The 8 CD is loose without socks, but that's great for summer. I can wear thick socks in the winter and be perfectly comfortable. I love that I can step into them with ease, they're waterproof and stay looking clean and new, no matter how much I abuse them. They work with jeans and shorts. Mine came with gel insoles that had very little support, I replaced those with PowerStep orthotic insoles and they make a huge difference (I do have severely arthritic feet (and body) that swell up on a regular basis, fallen arches, a high instep, and I pronate and supinate. In short, I need tweak most shoes for proper support, your experience may differ. For me, a comfortable supportive shoe that is versatile and looks great is the holy grail of shoes. I took off one star for the sizing and the and flimsy insoles, but I still highly recommend this shoe.

I always wanted a pair of the Bean Boots Moc and am pleased with the purchase. It is great for those morning walks with the dog, gardening, and especially wet weather. The recommendation to order one size down was perfect. I wear a size 8 ordered a size 7 and the fit was good with the exception of the ankle/heal pocket; just a bit too wide for me even with a bulky or heavier sock. I wish these were cut just a bit narrower in the ankle/heal area as not to slide up when walking.

The size is way off. I wear a 7 and bought size 6. They are still too big unless I wear extra thick socks. That's great for the boots but I bought these for the yard. They are still comfortable and easy to slip on and off. Good quality and made in the USA!

I've always wanted a pair of LLBean's rubber Mocs. They are very well made but way too wide for me. I would recommend them to people who have medium or wide feet.

I have wanted a pair of these shoes for years and finally treated myself. The shoe itself is beautiful and I am sure will do a great job in the garden for me, re the waterproofing. I normally wear a 9.5 wide so I ordered an 8 wide, as suggested by the website. Although the length is a little long, it is OK. The ankle though is way too wide and the shoe slips on my ankle. I have to wear very thick socks to make it work. The width of the shoe behind the toes is a bit too narrow for a wide width and rubs a bit. Those two fit issues will limit where I can wear the shoes and that is disappointing. I wanted them to be my "go to" shoes for all sorts of things. I really wanted to have the kind of experience I have read about from other LL Bean boot owners who loved their shoes for years and years. Other shoes I have bought from LL Bean have fit well. I am a bit disappointed but don't see any other size in the Bean boots that would work better. I really wish they had lived up to my expectations.

Hello everyone, I always wanted a pair of these for quick trips out side. As everyone states I wear a 8 med to narrow and ordered a 7 narrow...They fit great just a little slippage in the heel but after walking in them a few times I think they will be fine. Don't plan on wearing them for long walks just a short trip outside...they keep my feet very dry and comfortable...to help keep them from slipping I tucked the tongue into the shoe...

I'm keeping these shoes, but they really need to come in half sizes. I normally wear a 6.5 to 7 and ended up getting a size 5. They are just a little short, but there made really well.

I normally wear size 8 medium. Finally purchased size 6 medium and they fit fine. Can wear thin pair of low socks and they are comfortable. Keep my feet dry. Leather laces hard to keep tied-they get loose easily.

I've always wanted a pair and I love them, however, these things run almost 2 sizes too big! Something to keep in mind when ordering. I wear a women's 10 and ordered a women's 10 but ended up needing an 8.

I normally wear an 8N. Ordered 7N based on instructions for wearing thin or medium socks (in the South). Overall length and width fits well except for the heel. A little too wide, so my heels slipped a bit while walking. Adding back-of-heel gel cushion to each shoe appears to have solved the problem. Glad to have a well-fitted puddle-proof shoe for walking the dog, or just walking. Narrows have been hard to find.

Great shoe if you get the right size. Downsize by one full size and wear thick socks. The heal is too wide. I will need to get heal guards to make "left" heal fit tighter. Otherwise, I love them!

I really wish they had half sizes in these amazing rubber mocs; then they would be perfect. In most shoes I wear 7 1/2 or 8, but with these, 7 is plenty large. I also tried size 6; that width was better but they were too short. I am happy with my size 7s but just want everyone to know that they fit like slippers....a little sloppy feeling but comfortable and easy to slip off and on. I wear them with wool socks but not thick, heavy hiking socks.

I wanted a comfy shoe that I could easily take on and off for taking the dog outside to do her business, as well as wear with jeans for a cute, casual look. I read all of the reviews about sizing first. I also wear birkenstocks, so thought that maybe these boots were similar to those in their sizing. For my birks, I buy them in narrow. So I ordered these in narrow, size eight, which is my usual shoe size. They fit great in the width, but flipped up on the back of my heel. I tried various types of socks and nothing really changed the flipping heel problem. I was so disappointed to play the return and exchange game. So I called and talked to a customer service representative and I explained my thinking and the problem at hand. I reordered a size seven, medium width and they fit very well. With thinner socks there is slight heel flipping, but none with thick socks. I wore these boots yesterday with a thinner sock and didn't even notice the heel issue, so it's not a problem. My adult daughter complemented me twice on how cute these were. Bottom line, order a size down, like all of the other reviews say!

These shoe-boots remain a great buy. My only advice, aside from BUY THEM, is that they run a bit large. I generally wear a size 11. But with these I could have gone a size 10. They run large for sure. I kept them and just wear them with thick winter socks. However, I may have an issue with wearing them in spring and summer rain weather as they are very loose on my feet.

Based on LLBean's recommendation, I purchased a size 8 (my actual shoe size is 9). The mocs I received were still too large even with wearing heavy-weight socks. So I exchanged for a size 7. I can now wear the mocs with mid-weight socks. I find that the mocs get more comfortable the more I wear them. They're great for our N.California rainy days.
