They should be re-sized by LL Bean. They worked with two layers of thick socks. I should have read the reviews - they all point to this problem. I sent them back and ordered one size smaller.

I ordered a 9 W in the L.L. Bean Rubber Mocs. Usually wear a 9 1/2-10 W but took advice of other reviewers. They were a perfect fit. Still a bit loose but can tighten with the ties or wear a bit heavier sock. Very pleased also with the way they look on my foot--not "overly big" looking. Very comfortable, great for light snow & for rain.

This Rubber Moc is extremely huge! It's made for extremely thick socks when worn. Since I don't wear extremely thick socks, I had to return the shoe for a complete size smaller, which was a better fit but still roomy if I wanted to wear regular thick socks.

I had been looking for a pair of rain booties like these for a long time. The problem was that the ones I found on the Internet came only in medium width. I was searching for a size 10W. When I saw these mocs and the wide widths available, I snatched them up. They fit like Cinderella's glass slipper. The mocs arrived must faster than promised. This was good because there had just been a snow storm in the area and the sidewalks were icy. These mocs have a sole with great traction and I felt very safe and secure walking in them. Buy them. Pamper your feet, princess!

I'm very happy with these shoes. I usually wear size 9 and ordered size 8. The 8 is still very roomy and the width is perfect for my wide feet (bunions). The shoes are extremely comfortable. I had a hard time deciding between this pair and the gumshoes. I'm glad I chose these. This shoe has laces which you can tighten to keep the shoe from "slipping." I like the way that the shoe looks. These are perfect for the little bit of snow that we get in Nashville and will be great for the spring.

These boots are very comfortable and are great for days when there's light snow.

Love it....love it...love it. I ordered the pink and navy mucks. Great pick for the wet weather in Washington but still look great for everyday wear. They do run large so unless you wear very heavy socks be sure to order a smaller size.

These boots are the best I have ever had. I have tried other brands. They are warm. They run large so buy one size smaller than usual.

It is obvious that these mocs are made from top quality materials, however they do run extremely large and wide. I wear a 10 wide shoe, often larger - for this reason I ordered a 10M after reading the other reviews. The moc is at least 1 full size, perhaps 1 1/2 sizes larger and wider than my normal size of 10 W. I returned them for this reason.

I have been wearing these shoes for many years and have handed down pairs to my son, (so I could get new ones). I have tried other brands but alway wished that I had stayed with LL Bean's rubber moc and over the last ten or twelve years nothing else will do. I wear them every day walking the dogs and doing yard work. easy to slip on and off at the door.

I ordered these shoes in the fall to use as a rain/slush shoe, and I love them. Have been wearing them all winter, except in heavy snow (not quite warm enough for that) but I have ordered the insulated 8" version to have for the worst weather. Can't wait till they arrive! But as a caution, DEFINITELY pay attention to the sizing and order small - I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 and I got these in 7, and they are still a little roomy. (but ok with socks on)

I really recommend these mocs...I just moved to the Seattle area and needed a pair of shoes that would keep my feet dry, repell rain, and would coordinate with my wardrobe. I found that these mocs are very comfortable, great for those rainy days, easy to put on--for a busy mom on the go like myself! I look forward to going out in the rain now and love the color--it's worth the money!

I ordered the black mocs and absolutely love them. Followed guide lines for size and fit and ordered a size smaller. These fit great, very comfortable and wonderful in cold wet weather I am just sorry I did not order them sooner.

Overall, this is a excellent go-to shoe for mucking aroudn outside. I'm a Northern transplant to the South and these are perfect for those southern "winter" slushes or to just be out in the yard with the dog in. The only drawback, which other's have commented on, is the heel slipping. I normally wear a 9.5 or 10, but ordered an 8. The toe fit is fine, but my heel does slip out if I'm not wearig thick socks. Otherwise, perfect shoe!

These run very large. I wear a 7.5 or 8. The first pair that I ordered were 8. They were big so I always wore heavy socks - but still very big. After 2 years I finally ordered size 7 and these are perfect. I wear them everyday in snow, mud and slush. I love them. My husband wears his every day too. (I ordered him a smaller size also.)

I just received my pair of rubber mocs. I ordered according to reviews and the sizing guide. Thought I would order the narrow width to avoid getting a big shoe. I'm normally a 7M, so I ordered a 6N. I'll be returning them for the medium width, but the size otherwise is great. Not crazy about the black at all. A little blah for my taste. Thinking of ordering the blue/green. Can't wait to get them!!!

Had a pair of Mocs years ago..forgot how warm,comfortable and durable they are. Since it had been years! My orginal order was too large, ordered a size down,PERFECT! Great for fall, winter and spring mud.

Ok--great product. Probably will last longer than I will. Because of all of the reviews discussing sizing I figured I would be better off going to an LL Bean store rather than ordering sight unseen. I wear a true size 10W or 10EE, depending on the style--occasionally a 10.5 normal width. With this rubber moc, I tried on a 9 normal width in store, with medium socks and the fit was perfect. I think a 9W would have been too wide/large. So...go down at least a full size from your normal shoe size, and if you are a wide width, you might want to combine the full size drop with a "skinnier" width!

I am so happy I waited for these boots. They were on back-order and I received them last week. Fortunately, I read all the information and reviews about sizing because I needed a size and a half smaller than usual. Great fit, great look.

These are great boots. Perfect for not so deep snow. This winter in NY has been very snowy. So these are great when the snow is not very deep and there is slush and puddles all around. Glad I had read previous reviews since it's true--the Moc runs large. I usually take a 10 but ordered a 9 and I still have to wear a thick sock to make it a bit tighter on my foot.

Good solid product. Unfortunately the fit is too wide and I have to return for exchange to slimmer model.

I actually got a pair of these in 1989 and am just now getting a new pair! I have loved them for rainy weather and the occasional snowy weather we see in Georgia or when visiting Sugar Mountain. They have been an outstanding go-two rain shoe for more than 20 years..I think after two babies my feet have grown and the tread has finally gone smooth so I've ordered a new pair :)
