These shoes only run a size bigger because they are made to wear with heavy socks. If you wear regular socks, they will flip flop off. Order a size down and they will fit like a normal shoe with regular socks. You can wear them all day and not even take them off at night until you have to get in the shower. They are that comfortable.

I was looking for a low-profile shoe to wear on rainy days (I don't like rainboots) and these worked out great. They're durable, water resistant, and supremely comfortable. I also like that I'll be able to wear them into winter. I normally wear an 8.5 but bought a 7 and they fit great, even without socks. I own other bean boots and love the quality of the brand.

These shoes are great for putting on to go empty the trash or run an errand. The shoe string can cinch up to help keep them on my feet since I have a narrow foot and heel.

I had bought a pair of these for my daughter last Christmas (by her request) and liked the looks of them. So when I found myself needing outdoor boots I bought these in black. I wear a narrow width and ordered a half size down from my usual 7 1/2 and they fit just fine. I'll wear these a long time, I'm sure.

I normally wear a 7 or 7-1/2 but store-bought shoes are often too wide for me. I ordered a 7 narrow and they fit great. There is extra toe room for heavy socks, but not a bad fit with normal socks. The heel slips, but the catalog description said it would. They are comfortable for long walks with the dog through fields and woods. Made in the USA!

These shoes are the perfect thing for me -- they keep my feet dry on a dash to the mailbox or a walk across wet grass and through mud to the garden or chicken coop in wet weather, and they also look great for running various errands in town in nasty weather. (My son's art teacher asked where I got them!) I prefer the short style to boots unless there's deep snow, and I got the black because it goes with most of my clothes. The rubber part cleans easily on the shoe brush we keep on our porch so they still look new even though I've worn them in the chicken coop. They seem to give traction without collecting muck the way treaded boots or shoes tend to do. I have wide feet and a high instep, and a pull-on boot my father ordered me from Bean years ago never quite fit right across the top of my foot, so I was a little hesitant to order these. But I read the description and reviews and ordered a full size down in length (7 vs. 8) with a wide width. The fit is great, and the laces allow for adjustment. They are moccasin style and so are a little loose in the back, but I don't find that they rub or cause me to walk in a way that's uncomfortable. In fact I find myself wearing them even when the weather doesn't really require waterproof shoes. I wear them with various socks, mostly medium weight wool blend. The only complaint I have is minor, that the laces sometimes come untied.

Just what I have been waiting for - in time for days when I need protection from both rain and snow. Easy to slip into - for on the go.

Love them love them love them! I can't wear real heavy socks with them unless they were a size bigger. But I don't live in the far north to really need heavier socks. Very comfortable and no more wet feet.

This is the fourth pair of these boots that I have had. My dog keeps chewing them up, and I'm a slow learner! I love them and will not be without a decent pair to wear outside in wet or cold weather. I wear them to the mailbox, for gardening, and to run to the store.

These shoes are great. I wear a size 71/2, but ordered a 6 as the catalog stated. At first one shoe was rubbing on the back of my ankle, as other reviewers stated, but after one week the problem was gone. I love the shoes. My feet stay dry and warm. I am going to order these again, but with the sherpa lining for Winter. I purchased the zip up boots, like this shoe two years ago, and I love them. I don't like wearing socks and the boots kept me warm and dry all Winter. If you like wearing heavy socks, just order the next size up.

I love these boots! My feet are very hard to fit. They are wide and I have a high instep. After reading the reviews, I decided to give them a try. I am so glad I did! These boots are very easy to get on and off, and they are comfortable AND cute! They are perfect for our wet weather in Alaska! My sisters noticed them right away and tried them on! They love them and are ordering them as well. Since the cold weather is right around the corner, I just ordered a pair of the shearling-lined version of this boot. I love these shoes ! They are so easy to slip on & off when I come in from the bad weather. I've had a pair for 15 years. The inserts wore out a few years ago. I put new inserts in them and they are still very serviceable.

Great fit. Very hard to find narrow widths.

Love the LL Bean Rubber Moc. It is very comfortable and the black on black color is a little dressier and less preppy looking than the brown. Shoe runs large. I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 and I ordered a 6 based on other reviews. Fits well even with warm socks. The moc is easier to wear with pants than a high boot also...don't have to tuck in.

I purchased this shoe in 7 narrow-usually take an 8 med. It fits well with a light sock-(living in the south this is fine).- if I needed to wear a heavy wool sock the 7 med. would prob have given me more room in the toe area. The shoe is well made and rugged-great for mowing or garden work.

These are the best shoes for crummy weather! easy slip on, the treads are small so you do not haul into your house much debris from the soles and they keep your feet dry. I have owned a couple pair of these, eventually the soles become smooth (and slippery) and the upper can crack, so I get another pair.

These boots wear like iron! I have worn them around the yard, in the fields, and running errands and they still look like new, even after I stepped off the side of a brook and down into the mud and water! I simply took out the insoles, threw them in the washer and hosed out the inside of the boot. Left them outside to drain and dry. They look and feel good as new. Thank you LL Bean.

Great boot!. Run a little large. They are made to last forever. Quite Comfortable. Look forward to wearing them. They are perfect for what I need them for.

I wear between an 8.5-9 so I ordered a size 8. They are still a bit big with thin socks, and manageable with thicker socks. I love these shoes, how practical and easy to wear in slushy snow, rain, and even in the garden. My feet do get a bit tired after a long walk (I think due to the sizing issue). Next time, I think I'll order a size 7 with thinsulate, that way I could wear thin socks and still get the warmth I would need.

I purchased a size 6 regular width pair of rubber mocs. They are really big even wearing two pair of thick socks but they are a wonderful product overall. I would buy another pair but maybe in a narrow width, perhaps that would keep the moc's on my heels a little better.

Very happy with the product. Only drawback is that the heel is sloppy.

These boots have been around forever and are the absolute best. Be forewarned they run extremely large!! I ordered an 8 because I normally wear an 8.5 or a 9. I had to send them back for a 7 because my feet were swimming in them. Even the heaviest of socks weren't going to make them fit. The 7's are great and the black on black is really cool looking.
