I usually wear a 9, though an 8 1/2 wide sometimes works. After reading other reviews, I originally bought these in an 8 wide, and my feet were swimming in them, thick socks and all. I reordered, getting a 7 wide this time, and they're perfect. Just like the duck shoes I remember loving as a kid...never thought I'd be back in a size 7, though! Perfect for mucking around in the yard or going just about anywhere in Seattle's rainy weather. I love the style, and they're very comfortable.

I love them. It was a great purchase for me. I'm taking a trip back east at new years and with some wool socks should be perfect! I live in California and will still work in the winter and not be too bulky. I also thought for the airport they will be easy to slide off and on.

First, before I purchased these, I compared them to the Sporto brand that I had worn years ago and loved. The detail and craftsmanship of the LLBean "ducks" was superior, and so I was persuaded. I ordered a 9 - WAY big even with thick wool socks. Thanks to excellent LL Bean customer service, I was able to exchange them for an 8. STILL way too big. Honestly, these ducks are excellent, but do start small if you order...Two sizes down is not too much.

I am Female size 8 / narrow feet - did not do my homework and read the reviews before I bought the Rubber Mocs. First Ordered Size 8 Med figuring that I could wear them with socks . When the goods arrive they were HUGE, REALLY HUGE! Lucky for me there is an LL Bean outlet in my area so I returned the Mocs. No smaller sizes to try on at the store. Went back online and read the reviews . Reviews had the mocs running 1 to 1 .5 sizes bigger then normal. I ordered 7 narrow....await my delivery.

I have wanted a pair of these for about 20 years. Finally took the plunge and ordered them. I LOVE THEM! So comfortable.

Love these mocs! I followed the size recommendation and order a 7W because I usually wear an 8W. These mocs fit me right out of the box, and they fit just as the Boot Fit Information video shows (do watch this video before ordering; click on "show more details" in the item description). My heel does slide out of the boot when I walk, and I love how comfortable this is, not to mention how easy it is to slip these mocs on and off. Some of the previous reviewers have written about pulling the laces tight to make the shoe opening smaller and the heel fit snugly, but I don't think these mocs are meant to fit that tightly. You should not have to pull the laces tight. I bought these in the stylish new black/black color, and I hope Bean will soon offer all their rubber boots in this color (I had already bought the 8" boot in black/black -- love it). Please be advised that you will not be able to fold the tongue forward and over the front of the shoe (as shown in The Official Preppy Handbook) because the underside of the tongue is printed with size, item number, etc. in white. With the big tongue sticking up, these mocs are a little ugly, but I'd say they are ugly in a cute way, the way an ugly dog can be cute. Know what I mean? And they keep my feet nice and dry. I'm rating these high on durability because I know they'll last a long time, like my 16-year-old Bean gumshoes that are still going strong.

Finally LLBean has remembered those of us with narrow feet and given us a good fitting option, other than wearing 2 pairs of thick socks. These mocs are extremely comfortable and are great for October & spring mud.

I recieved these mocs on a rainy day and got to wear them right away. My feet stayed nice and dry. I got the black on black, and they look so stylish! I normally wear an 8 with a normal width, and I ordered the 7 in the normal width. They fit perfectly with regular socks. These shoes are REALLY comfortable. I expected that they would be stiff, but they are not. This is my first pair of bean boots, and I'm definitely hooked!

These are the best Bean boots ever.

This is my fourth pair. Have different colors and linings. Have tried other brands and returned them. The absolutely best boots out there.

I got my new shoes yesterday, Friday, and I ordered them on Wednesday...very prompt processing and delivering! I love the shoes! I got them in the black color and they are great. I ordered them the size and half lower than my regular shoe size and they fit perfectly! I was hesitant with ordering a smaller size but after reading the reviews I was able to trust this feedback. I love LLBean shoes...my last pair lasted 30 years.... excellent quality shoes.

Runs large, I ordered a size smaller than normal and they're fine. Well made. Perfect for what I need them for.

Mocs are made really well. 2nd pair, the first were replaced after YEARS of wear! They run really big!! Size down a whole size and wear heavy socks! Great for wet days!!

I bought these for cold rainy days, and my exchange (don't ignore the suggestion to order a size smaller than usual) arrived just in time for a major storm. My feet stayed dry and warm outside, and I was comfortable wearing them all day inside at work.

My original pair of these shoes is 30+ years old and are still going strong. I just wanted a new color. For these, I sized down one complete size (8 to 7) and I still have plenty of room to wear one or two pairs of socks with these, depending on thickness. If I were to wear them barefoot, I probably could size down again and still be comfortable. The shoes are solidly made, comfortable, and durable. Completely waterproof. Perfect, couldn't ask for a better value.

Love them for going out in the morning with the dog when the grass is wet or a light snow fall. I got my regular size and they run big. I have 2 inner soles in them and now I'll try heavier socks.

My new black Bean mocs arrived just in time for the October snow storm. They had just enough extra room for heavy ragg wool socks and they were perfect. Love the new black look! Just right for jumping city puddles!

My mocs are what I would expect in such a product. My shoe size is an 8 but I ordered the moc in size 7 and it fits great. I'm very happy with the purchase. Thanks, LLB.

I had been thinking of buying a pair of rubber mocs for a couple of years and I'm glad that I finally did. However, I should have paid attention to the reviews and order a full size down. I usually wear a size 8 but I had to return the first pair for a size 7. They are still a little loose with a light-weight sock, but with a heavier sock they are perfect. They slip on and off easily for those numerous trips in and out of the house. They are perfect in wet weather or when our unpaved driveway is muddy but I don't need a full boot. If I forget to carry my shoes to work, the moc is comfortable enough to keep on all day. I highly recommend this product.

Love, Love, Love these shoes. The are hard to size though. I really wish they had half sizes. I normally wear a 7.5 i ordered a 6 thoght they were too bsmall then ordered a 7 but they slipped off my feet so i ended up keeping the 6. They are a bit tight but i'd rather have that.

They are great rain shoes, however, order a full size smaller, and they run really wide, so no need to order a wide shoe.

I have a narrow foot which makes it difficult to find anything that fits correctly. By going down a size and ordering the narrow I was finally able to find something that I could ware in comfort in my hilly yard. I plan on ordering a second pair soon because I have found myself wearing them for more than yard work because of their comfort and fit.

These are standbys for me. I have worn them for 28 years, after I discovered them. They last forever! They have even gone to church.

After reading the comments from others I decided to purchase these in a 10 AA even though I wear an 11 A or M size. They are a perfect fit and acually make my large feet look small which is a surprise. I can wear normal or medium weight socks with them. They are very sturdy and I certainly enjoy something made in America that I can show off when I travel overseas.
