I wear a 7 1/2, AA shoe. I ordered as the video advised which for me was size 7. I was delighted that this moc was offered in AA width. Perfect fit with the LLBEAN merino wool boot socks This moc has very good arch support, is lightweight making it comfortable to wear throughout the day. Heel slippage is not a problem as the moc can be pulled tighter over the arch of the foot. Have ordered the shearling wool inserts to accommodate lighter weight socks for warmer weather. Highly recommend this rubber moc. No fit or wear problems for me.

I have been wanting a pair of these for a while. Living in New England in the winter, we get some wet, slushy days and I don't always want to have to wear heavier boots. These are perfect. I am SO glad I read all the reviews about sizing first. I am usually a size 9 in everything else, but I took a chance and ordered a size 8 in these. Perfect! When I first tried them on they were definitely loose in the heel area. I didn't have on very thick socks at the time, so I tried tightening the leather lace. That made all the difference. Now, depending on the sock I have on, I can adjust the fit just by the lace. Order in a size smaller, you won't regret it! Oh, and I got the dark moss green/brown and have gotten so many compliments.

I wear an 8 narrow and ordered such. After reading the reviews I called back and changed my size order to a 7 narrow and was glad I did. They arrived today, and fit like a dream. I wore heavy ragg socks, and still had room in the toe. Slipped a bit in back, but hey, these are mocs, not dress pumps. I am very happy. The black is very rich looking, and the quality is, of course excellent.

You really have to watch the video LL Bean shows on how the Mocs were designed to fit. They were made to fit loose and to slide in the heel area. All of the excess room can be adjusted with the thickness of your socks or by simply tightening up the leather shoe lace. I wear an 7.5 or 8 regular fit shoe or a 7 wide. I bought the 7 regular. And yes pretty loose with a thin sock or no socks. But I tightened up the lace and it fit fines...but still(as LL bean states it would)slips a little in the heel area(but it does not come off my foot and is fine to walk in). These shoes were meant to be easy on and off. If they fit tighter (once they were on) then they would not be easy on or off. I also have the shearing lined boot. This one does take time to put on and lace, but well worth it for the comfort and warmth. I like these type of mocs and boots so much, I want to buy more....But I don't need them :((( I believe these will last me many years. Thanks again LL Bean for the quality. I am a happy camper.

I am a solid size 8M and went with the size 6M. The fit is spot on. I mostly wear them without socks but can even wear a thick ragg wool sock without issue.
I would recommend buying the Bean shearling liners ($19.99) and swap out the insoles that came with the mocs. This provides a much better fit, makes them very warm, and quite comfortable. They mold to the foot, as does the moc, so the fit will be right. They won't feel snug or fall off your feet.
I even got the moc in crimson (red wine) - my school colors which I adore!

Having read a number of reviews before ordering (thanks ALL), I elected to order my boots one size smaller ....and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable.
BTW, initially I did find the heel to be rather loose, my heels lifting out of the back of the shoe. So, I untied the laces, gave them a little tug, and the heel fit just fine.
Even tho I ordered a full size smaller, there is plenty of room for a thick sock.
Great buy! Best, Kerry

Being a child of the 70's & 80's, I have had a few different pairs of these "duck shoes" but they've all been uncomfortable and inflexible, too hot when worn inside, and not warm enough when worn outside. NOT SO WITH THESE!!! They are comfortable and fit properly so that the tops do not "bang" against my ankle bones and my heels do not come out with every step, pulling down my socks and flopping on my feet. I will NEVER buy any other "duck shoes" again! These are the real deal!

These are tough, practical, comfortable boots that keep my feet dry for hours. I use them fall and winter for barn work and to go up into our Christmas tree farm in fall to work harvest and cleaning. Finally boots that are wide enough!

I wear an 11M in regular foot ware. I ordered an 11 AA. Perfect
for me. I have on mid-weight socks and could not be more
thrilled. I have several pairs of bean boots and my old brown
ones are medium width. Great with heavier weight sock. These
are black and I will use them for rainy days when more "dressed
up". Thanks llBean for keeping the standards up!!!

These rubber moc's are wonderful. I have had a pair for 12 or 13
years. I only wear them in the wet winter months and sometimes in the spring working around the yard. You will get years of wear from
these mocs. They will not let you down. Made in the U.S.A is
important.

I ordered these in a size 6 as at the time it was to order up. I am a 5 1/2 to 6. These were way too large and it was like I was swimming in the boots. I really like the boot, but sizing is a problem. If these were available in the kids sizes, I would definitely order a pair.

I did order these last year and they are still in great condition this year although the sole is wearing down a bit because I wear them nearly daily in the fall and spring to walk my Rough Collie who needs a walk no matter what the weather is outdoors. I have walked miles and miles in these mocs and they are very comfortable, and so easy to slip on and off. When it rains I don't worry about my feet getting wet at all, in fact I can splash a bit in the puddles if I want to do so. I did order a size smaller than usual and do find that I still need to wear a thick sock with them. I normally can wear an 8 to a 9 depending on the manufacturer, but I wear a 7 in this moc with a thick sock. If you don't wear a thick sock the socks will slip down in the back of the moc as you walk a distance. These are mocs that are comfortable and practical for the rains that come along in New England in the fall and early spring.

I just received my new duck boots purchased primarily for dog walking and I love them. I ordered a size down in the wide width and they fit perfectly. So glad LLBean now has waterproof boots in a wide width that are also stylish. I can't wait to try them out!

The only thing I can advise anyone on as far as sizing is to tell you my experience. I wear a size 8 wide in an athletic shoe, I will need to go down to a size 6 and stay with the wide in the rubber mocs. I really thought that a 7 in wide would be fine but way too big. I even tried the gum shoes but the top of the shoe hits too close to my ankle bone and after a few minutes wearing these in my home and thats with thicker socks it started to be uncomfortable. I am hoping that the wine color and loden will come be in stock in a wide width because the colors are great and worth the price. I live on a farm and need waterproof shoes to take my beagle out. We had only been in our new home a couple of weeks and he had (2) encounters with a skunk, needless to say I am being very careful on the times I let him out to do his beagle duties on his own, other times I take him out rain or shine so waterproof shoes are a necessity.

I bought this shoe when we moved to the country over 20 years ago when I needed a waterproof slip on shoe. It finally wore out, and I am ever so glad LL Bean still makes it. Thank you!

After 15+ years of daily wear, I finally decided to replace my Bean duck boots. With confidence, I ordered the same size as my old boots, 8 Wide. The new pair is so big in both length and width, that even my biggest wool hiking socks can't keep them on my feet. Comparing them to my old boots, they are almost a full inch longer and have no narrowing toward the heel. I am going to return them to a store in person so I can try on smaller sizes. The boots are still an excellent product, but I am disappointed with the new sizing.

As always with Bean products, these are very well made. They are very generous in width....I almost ordered wide, but it wasn't necessary. The slip on fit is great for for those of us always on the go.

Boot is made extremely well. Had to order down an entire size. I am always an easy size 9 but returned for a size 8. Boots are still a little roomy but very comfortable. I am using the boots for stall/barn work.

Color was better than expected, true yellow trim is cheerful for a rainy day. Ordered 7 and normally wear 8. Fit is good with room for thick socks.

Good waterproof boot. I use in garden especially in Spring mud. I would recommend that you order a whole size smaller than you usually wear. They run very large and roomy. Heavy socks works well. My only issue was that I didn't read the reviews before ordering and I sent for my regular size 7. I was swimming in them with a 1 inch void behind my heel. Sent them back (returns are quick) and got size 6. Perfect. Wish LL Bean would include better sizing in there description.

I've had these shoes for about a year. I usually wear a Ladies 9 Wide shoe and went with an 8 Regular. I was concerned because I frequently have swelling in one foot but these shoes go right on and they are extremely comfortable. I wear them all weekend! Also it's worth noting that there is good arch support. I can't wear "cheapy" shoes anymore because of all my foot issues and I was delighted at how much support these have. Thinking about getting them in another color! Remember that there is a rawhide tie and you can do a little tightening in the front of the shoe if necessary.

I originally ordered the 8" bean boots, but my ankles did not fit the boots. So I called LLBean to exchange them for the mocs. The lady on the phone made this the easiest exchange I have ever had in my life. I received these mocs promptly and couldn't wait to open my package. They were so comfortable right out of the box. I ordered a size down like the notes said. I would definitely recommend these to my friends and family.

I love these shoes- I'm wearing them every time there's even a hint of rain in the forecast. I bought them for navigating around rainy New Orleans in the summer, was worried they may make my feet too hot but it hasn't been a problem at all. Great cushioning and comfortable even without socks. No break-in period needed, and my feet are usually finicky.
Do take the advice to size down- I'm usually at 10-10.5 and ordered a 9- they are still pretty big and will accommodate hefty socks in the winter, but they don't fall off my feet and I imagine an 8 would be too small.
I bought the yellow and navy- the yellow is sunny but not jarringly bright. They're really cute and get compliments every time I wear them.
