Have had a pair similar to these for years and just had to replace them this spring. These are the perfect wet weather shoes! So glad I followed the suggestion of other buyers and purchased a size down. I usually wear an 8W so ordered the 7W and they were a perfect fit. My only suggestion to LL Bean is to include a picture of how the laces should be looped to be most effective. I had to refer to the online photo to it figure out.

Love these! Wanted another pair of Storm Chaser Slip Ons but they were sold out, so I opted for trusty BeanBoots! I had a pair of these a pretty long time ago & I think the fit is better & they're more comfortable. I wear these about every day to the barn & they stand up to heavy use. Very comfortable right out of the box. I usually wear a 7, sometimes 7 1/2; I ordered 6 & they fit GREAT.

Been meaning to get a pair of these for years and so glad I finally got them. Quality, comfort and durability is great. Perfect to slip on and off on wintery or rainy days. I often wear them to the office and then switch into my work shoes like Mr. Rogers. I'm very happy to slip back into them at the end of the day :)
ps. I followed the advise on the webpage about ordering a size down from what I normally wear and it was the right choice

I ordered a pair of these boots and ordered the wrong size. After calling customer service, my right size boots were on the way and here in two days and my return was processed within three days. Who else is so good at this!!! Love the rubber mocs and had been looking for a good pair since my old ones (not LL Bean) wore out last year. Thank you to a great company

These are just what I was looking for!
Please follow sizing suggestions. If you do, you shouldn't have any problem. I wear a 10, ordered a 9, I believe I have a narrow foot. (5'7" 155lbs.# Thought it was still lose but I retied the leather shoe string #for lack of better words) the way it was tied on one of the shoes. Go back and look at picture of item and see how the shoe string goes around the side string. That helped me get a tighter fit immediately. I have worn big socks in them and just now ran a quick errand barefoot. No problem. Now I hope they last a long time. Oh yeah I ordered the brown ones and I love the color.

I am a "solid" size 8, medium width. I ordered the 7 and it fits - with a mid-weight sock. Haven't tried a heavier hiking sock yet. It feels like it may be a little tight with a really heavy sock. There is heel slippage but this can be minimized by tying the laces tighter. But then you lose the ability to just slip them on & off. I only wear merino wool socks - year-'round - so this minimizes sweating in a rubber boot which doesn't allow your foot to breathe. I had these on yesterday for 5+ hours which was long enough. Comfort was fine but my feet did feel warmer, and more damp than in a regular shoe. But I don't think they're meant to be worn as you would your regular shoes. They are great for sloppy days. Not sure I'd take the dog on a long walk in them because of the heel slippage but may try a shorter walk. Will be great on a "drizzly" day.

These mocs are super comfortable. They have plenty of support and cushion, great for being on your feet a lot. They are totally waterproof which is great for spring puddles and even the spring snow.
They come in a great selection of colors too.
Be careful about size and follow LL Bean's directions carefully. I first ordered size 10 (I normally wear 9 1/2 in most shoes. In the end I had to go down to an 8.
The great news was that I went in to the store to exchange my online purchase. It couldn't have been easier. The folks at the store were welcoming and super- helpful.
You won't go wrong with these shoes and LL Bean is the best place to shop, online or in the store.

I followed the recommendations in the fit video. I usually wear an 8-8 1/2 and my feet are slightly wide, so I got the 7W. They fit perfectly! Easy slip on, but stay on when walking. Super comfortable and the colors are true to the pictures.

I ordered these mocs because all other bean boots were sold out. I was thinking the end of winter was near, however that seems to not be the case. I adore these mocs. They are perfect for slush, mud, and rain (at reasonable levels mind you). They are super comfortable and the extra slip that you feel when walking in them does not make you feel off balance- in fact it allows for a thicker sock. I am a narrow size 6. I wear a 7 in running shoes and 6-6.5 in flats/heels. I got these in a 6M. They are perfect for yard work and even super cute with jeans for a casual look. Overall: fantastic purchase, and I plan to get the actual 6" or 8" boots when available!

Comfortable, easy on & easy off. Perfect for the diverse weather & heavy dews of spring & fall - all year, actually, except perhaps the depth of winter when the snow is too deep and the air too cold. They are my go to shoe for rain, mud, light snow and barn chores--but nice enough to wear out for errands, etc. They clean up easily. Very well made, soles are sturdy and supportive, uppers are strong and protective of toes. Love them!

I spend a lot of time in my garden and have tried many shoes. Normal sneakers cause me to have wet feet. I tried Bogs and my feet stayed dry but they were so heavy that I could only wear them for short periods. I noticed a lot of my gardening friends had these and everyone had nothing but good comments about them. I just wish I had bought them earlier.
You really do need to follow the size ordering recommendations. It has been a long time since I have had a chance to order size 7!

Good fit - I had to exchange my medium for a narrow width. Perfect with a thicker sock. Great to take the dogs for a walk, especially when they want to walk in the water and mud; easy to rise off. I would recommend these shoes as they are definitely waterproof and stylish.

These are really high quality shoes and I love them. However, they tend to run a bit large in size. I have worn a woman's size 8 for many years, so when I ordered these shoes I ordered a size 8. However, when they came in and I tried them on, they were too large. So, I had to return them for a size 7. The size 7 worked just fine. I would consider this when ordering this type of shoes. You may need to go a full size smaller, since they are not offered in half sizes. Typical of L.L. Bean, they have a hassle-free return policy. This is why I am a return customer for many years. I would highly recommend these shoes!

I had been looking for a pair of boots that I could just slip into and would protect my feet from the cold, snow, rain, all that good winter stuff. Granted, you can't go walking in four inches of snow, but to run errands, wear on the work commute - perfect. They do run big. I normally wear an 11W and ordered an 11B. When I wear thick socks the fit is great, If I wore thinner socks, they would be a bit big. Will be buying another pair before next winter.

I usually wear a size 7 wide for running shoes. I knew I had to size down to 6, but wasn't sure if I should order "wide D" or "medium B" since lot of reviews mentioned how roomy these mocs were.
I ended up ordering medium width in size 6, and can't be happier. The fit is snug but not tight, and was comfortable right out of the box.
I am also pleasantly surprised that the leather laces are not only for decoration, but actually allows you to adjust the fit! I like the brown/brown color combination as it goes with almost every casual outfit I wear.
Looking forward to ordering a pair of boots this fall!

These shoes are great for walking the dog in snow or wet surfaces. Also perfect for making it across the (extremely) soggy yard to get to the compost pile. I live in Upstate NY, and 2014 has turned out to be a seriously messy ordeal. Might have gotten the Storm Chaser boots instead, for the height, if I'd seen them. But this time of year, these will be great through the summer and fall. Definitely get a size down, and they run quite wide in the heal (but pulling the laces up helps a lot).

With the intent of wearing thick socks, I ordered my normal size and they fit really well. My feet stay warm and dry. They are perfect for the thawing out we're experiencing in southern WI. Then I made the mistake of stepping into a puddle that came over the top of my shoes (ankle-deep). I had to schlep my wet, squishy feet home and dry off as quickly as possible. BUT, the good news - the inner soles are removable and I set these out on top of my dryer (did some laundry) and they dried out quickly. Then, I put the actual shoes open side down on my dryer and they also dried out completely. (DO NOT PUT THE SHOES INTO THE DRYER!) I wore them the next morning and my feet were dry and comfy all morning. I don't intend on stepping into any more deep puddles, but if I do, the shoes can be dried out completely (overnight) and ready for action the next day. I bought the brown on brown version on sale and it was a VERY smart purchase. Thank you, L.L. Bean, for making the shoes work so well, even a klutz around deep puddles can wear the shoes with confidence. R-

Well made boots ... very pleased with these boots.
However, they fit a bit looser than I would like. I normally wear a size 6 1/2, so I ordered a size 6 ... and they fit very loose. I am seriously thinking a size 5 1/2 would be better.

I read the reviews before buying and bought them 1.5 size smaller than my usual size. That was a mistake. I wear 8.5 and sometimes 9 and have a narrow foot. I ordered 7 narrow and they were too tight in the width and length.
Got it right by the 3rd pair. 8 narrow fits perfect; I even put the half length Superfeet insoles in them, as the heal is more loose than your typical shoe. There's snow and lots of salt on the ground here in NW Indiana. These are gonna be great as the warmer temps will make it a mess outside. Why ruin my good shoes when I can wear these instead?

I love these mocs and they're very comfortable, but it did take 3 pairs to get the right size (another reason I so appreciate the free return shipping with my LLBean credit card). I normally wear a 9Med, so I ordered an 8Med as recommended. The 8Med felt a bit snug all over with medium-weight socks, so I ordered both a 9Med and an 8Wide to try on. The 8Wide was just right. I will wear these mocs for errands and dog-walking on rainy days and in light snow, and I got a pair of 7" Bean Loungers in 8Wide for deeper snow.

This is my second pair. I bought my first ones probably 15 years ago and other than wearing down the sole somewhat, I would not have had to replace them except our new puppy ate one. I did replace the insoles once. Generally I wear these every day when doing chores. These are the absolute best rubber mocs on the market. They last forever. They are super easy to get on and off and they can be washed off without any damage to the shoe. I would highly recommend these. They do run a bit large. I ordered a size smaller than normal.

The shoe has quality and is practical for the foul weather. I ordered a 6 based on the reviews. I generally wear a 6.5. The 6 was a bit loose but not too bad with thicker socks. I would definitely purchase one size smaller. The shoe is comfortably wide enough even with heavy socks. I would not wear hiking but great for snow, slush and rain.
