I purchased the slippers and December 2018 and wore them for one winter and a hole developed in the toe on the left slipper. We pay a lot to buy quality products from LL Bean and we expect quality. Others products I have purchased have lasted for years because we believe that you get what you pay for. This was not true in this case. Perhaps LL Bean switched to a new vendor and that vendor is not delivering quality products. They should test them for wear before releasing them for sale to the public. I have to speak the truth about my experience to save others from wasting money.

I am a size 5 and found the size 5 offered to be slightly large and my heel was slipping out when walking. When I tried tightening the tie slightly, it ripped a large hole in the top of the suede! This happened 2 weeks into wearing the shoes; I was definitely pretty upset when this happened :(

I have worn these slippers for years and loved them. I just received my new pair and had to send them back. They were horrible. First the sizing was way off. The left was too narrow and the right was too wide and long. Does anyone do any quality control any more. The tie on the left slipper was non existent and the bow was tiny. I sent them back today. Disappointed and heart broken. I won't reorder yet until someone takes everyone's reviews seriously. There is no excuse for this. A size 7 should be accurate. No one should be told to go up a size or down a size. The slippers have fur lining in them and as such the size should be accurate to take that into consideration. I am a definite size 7 so this should not be an issue. When my husband gets his hopefully the situation will be different. For $79 dollars these slippers should be PERFECT.

Bought these for my wife originally in 2018. After a year the stitching burst at seams. Returned for a new pair 1/2019. Its now 2/2021 and the stitching holding the leather together has frayed/come undone , rendering them useless. For $80 you'd expect a slipper you simply wear around the house to last longer. Took them in to the Park Meadows store in CO to see what they can do, and sales rep said its out of warranty, they looked worn and refused to do anything. I told him I was aware I was out of the return policy, but 2 years for a leather slipper is kind of uncalled for. LL Bean needs to stand behind its products.

Initially, these felt like five star slippers-very cozy and warm. But after wearing them on the weekends for a couple of months, I've found that they just aren't made the way they used to be. The old slippers would last for years. The quality has gone down. These are/have: Sewn unevenly-the right slipper and left slipper are different shapes, and the cuff on one is much longer than the other. Also, one tongue is flipped, due to the sewing differences. Falling apart after two months occasional use. They were sewn too close to the edge, so one slipper has giant holes in it along the seam. Poorly attached lining. It is wearing out and there are bald spots, again, after two months' limited usage. This was so disappointing-I am used to a different level of quality and these are very cheaply made.

After having the slippers for about a month they don't ever stay tied. They have lost the shape and are constantly slipping off. I even ordered a size down from my normal shoe size.

I'm adjusting my earlier review from 3 stars down to 1. I've only had these a few months, and have worn them sparingly. The wear in the shearling bedding is already significantly deteriorated in the Rt. slipper. At this price point, I'm going back to my Australian slippers that last for years!!

my husband bought a pair of these slippers in size 7 (my tru size) as a christmas gift for me. I was delighted, but to my surprise they were too big. I returned them at the store and exchanged them for a size 6 that fit. I tried them on at home and they had a hole at the front where the stitches are. Ordered another size 6 and received them today by mail January 19. Guess what. I opened up the box and the size 6 looks like a size 8. Way to big! Ridiculously inconsistent and bad quality for a not so cheap $79 product. Very disappointing :(

Purchased these for my elderly mother for Christmas. She told me how much she loved them and how warm her feet were finally. So after having them & using them for 18 days, she finally tells me that they are not matched in size. One slipper is clearly much bigger than the other. Now I will have to call and tell my tale of woe and see how we make out.

I purchased these slippers in March of 2020 and by November of 2020 not even a full they already had a hole in them. For this price, they should at least last a full year!!! I was told that I am not eligible for a replacement because it is "excessive wear" where "my weight is rubbing on it". Is 4 months of use (not counting summer) excessive? Aren't slippers supposed to support your weight? I'm very disappointed in the quality.

It only took a few month for the fur to wear down to the leather insole, such a bad product. It's my 3rd pair and the previous one I wore for 3 years! In the store they told me it's a normal wear and tear! Would never buy again!

The slippers are not even a year old and they are falling apart. I bought my husband a cheap pair from kohl's and they lasted longer! My daughter is very upset

I've worn this identical slipper for many years. Finally decided it was time for a new pair. I ordered the identical size and the identical style. The new slippers can't hold a candle to my old pair. I've worn the new ones now for a couple of weeks. The fit is fine. Length, width, toe box are all okay, but the heels, especially the left one, come out of the slipper when I walk. Never had this issue with my old ones. I'm very disappointed. Glad I kept my old pair. I'll wear them until they literally fall apart. The new ones will sit in the closet and gather dust.

These are not worth the hype! I was so excited to see a wide width as I have wide feet and bunions on top of that. I wear a 7.5 wide so based on LL Bean's recommendation for half sizes to go up, I did. The 8s were huge! I paid the return shipping fee to swap for a 7 wide. I thought surely these would work and they are still huge! It has been years since I have worn a size 7 in anything. With these 7s, my feet slide around in them and the heels slip when I walk. To add to my frustration, the left one is bigger than the right one! So now I am out MORE return shipping fees for shoes that fit like two different sizes. I expected more from a company like LL Bean.

These slippers totally fell apart within two years of moderate use and LL Bean wouldn't replace or repair. For the price, I would not recommend these slippers at all. Other companies have slippers that are just as comfortable and hold up so much better.

I purchased a size 8 and a size 9. I wear a size 8.5-9, I am usually a 9 in sneakers. The size 9 is way too big, the 8 is way too small. And I got to pay to return them!

My husband purchased these for me as a Christmas gift in 2018. I just retrieved them from my closet (October 2020) for this winter and the toe stitching is unraveling on one and the fur is bare around the top of one slipper and patchy on the other. LLBean doesn't repair slippers and they are past the date for an exchange, though I have been told I can send them in and see what happens. They have been used at most 12 months since purchase so I do not consider them a good value. I'm very disappointed that they didn't last longer.

The strings come apart and are uneven randomly. The white strings that hold the fabric together is coming apart. Returns for exchanges is hard and not worth the hassle.

I have purchased these for years and years. I have had each pair last 2-2.5 years with almost constant (14 hours a day) wear inside and outside my home. Not to the store... just around my home, but...Not this pair. I've had them about 6 months and they are a mess. They look worse now than the others have after years of wear. I retire the older ones to outside only and they still look better than these. And.. they are one size bigger than they used to be. I have always worn an 8 but I had to exchange them for a 7. I believe they changed manufacturers, probably to save money yet they cost more now than ever. I am returning them. Now I have to find somewhere else to get good quality slippers from.

I have been buying these slippers for years but there was a definite decline in quality the past few years. I bought a pair for my daughter this year and they started to fall apart after three weeks. Sent them back and will not order again. The pair I bought for myself last year was nothing like my original pair. Maybe you should rethink vendors.

I have purchased LLBean slippers for years and have been terribly disappointed with my latest pair. After only a month of use one of the slipper's insole wore completely down. Previous slippers would last for years. I used to tell everyone how much I loved these, but unfortunately I will never purchase again.

I have purchased or received gifts of many items from LL Bean over the years. Originally received the wicked good slides (no heel/back) as Christmas gift. Exchanged for wicked good moccasins in mariner blue size 10. Ordered size 10 based on customer service associate and size ordering recommendations to order up for 1/2 size (I typically wear 9.5). They were back ordered for 6 weeks. Finally received and they were huge; practically walking out of them. Exchanged for size 9 in black. Received a week after order as expected. The interior heel of left shoe has piece of leather/shearling backing that was not seamed/flattened appropriately and digs into the bottom of the heel (see pic). The right shoe has some poor quality/thinning shearling around the cuffed sides-you see more of the backing/lining and little-to-no shearling covering the backing (see pic) On the interior of the right shoe, the shearling attached to inside upper that should cover the stitched seam around the toes (from the inside) does not adequately cover the stitching so big toe is being poked, scratched, and is catching on the stitching/leather. My last pair of llbean moc camp slippers lasted nearly 7 years with almost daily wear and I am only replacing because the sole no longer provides enough support. I expected better knowledge of fit recommendation as well as better quality when you are paying $80 for a pair of house shoes. I will not be going to the trouble of exchanging again only to have poor quality issues. I will be returning and looking to other brands that carry shearling lined house shoes, namely that Australian brand.

I purchased these in Dec 2017 and within a year the side blew out; the leather actually split, and the stitching attaching the sole to the top loosened. I continued to wear them anyway because they are expensive and because I understood there had been a change in warranty provisions so I was stuck with them. Yesterday, the stitching finally gave and the top is no longer attached to the sole so they are now unwearable. I wear these for several hours a day but only inside and considering the cost, and my complete satisfaction with other L L Bean products over the years, I expected them to last for years.

I had a pair of wicked goodslippers that I've had for 10 years, the inside finally wore out so I ordered a new pair. I've had them 2 weeks and can already tell the quality is not anywhere near as good. The shearling on the inside is much thinner and over all the quality of the slipper is far below par. These will not last 10 years.
