Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)

I was surprised at the quality. The right slipper did not seem well made. It was "off-kilter", slightly askew. Feet slipped out when walking. Plus, whoever thought to put a tag right at the arch? Scratchy and annoying. Like the color though.

Quality is not where it used to be. The leather ripped at the laces within two days

Llbean quality has gone down 4 past 3 yrs. Slipper quality is made thinner & cheaper. Bought a pair in 2021, they lasted 2 yrs. Now, i purchased a pair & had 2 return 2 store, slippers looked like 2 left feet! Am disabled & $80 for slippers is a ton of money 4 me. The new slippers rec'd, right foot is wider than left. I will not purchase these expensive slippers again. I hv ordered 4 a long time, but quality is not there anymore.

I purchased these slippers for probably the 4th or 5th time in my life. Not only has the price increased significantly (I was willing to accept this), the quality has declined. I decided based on some recent reviews to order a size larger than I had in the past and can barely fit my foot in it (toes are jammed in the front). I can't believe how different they are from previous pairs. Also, the color/material are different than previous pairs I've had. I'm sad because I had read the reviews and seen similar sentiments but didn't want to/couldn't believe it. Believe it.

Just got these today and they are super comfy and fit great, will be a great slipper. Will be. But the tags are in the absolute most awkward place inside the slipper, very scratchy and uncomfortable right against the sensitive arch side of the foot - and it's not even a quick-rip tag that you can pull off easily, it's a thick, tough "high quality" tag... On both slippers, even. On $100 slippers. I will try to take them out with cuticle scissors, if I can determine if the seam is not integral to the slipper. People with autism / sensory sensitivity concerns like me, or people buying these for others with sensory concerns - you need to be aware of this issue, as it is not visible on the official advertised product photos online! Will increase rating if the tags prove to be easily and safely removable.

Pros: nice fur lining. Cons: the drawstrings constantly come undone, less support than I anticipated, and each of my slippers is a different color (right is pink, left is mauve). Not what I expected

I've had these for 2 years and worn only around the house. They are ready to be scrapped unfortunately. I would have bought some cheapies if I had known these wouldn't last.

Toe is very narrow. Too tight. I don't wear them. A bitter disappointment, as I've bought these for years and years.

I have bought and returned two pairs of these slippers. The slippers fit, but they are "off" in construction. They feel weird to walk around in so something is definitely wrong. I've worn these slippers for many years and never had this issue before. I threw out my older ones, and now I wished I hadn't!

I was so excited to get these. These are my first pair of LL Bean Moccasins. But the second day I wore them the thread that holds the shoe together is unraveling, and the sole is bubbling under my feet. Since the thread is unraveling I barely wear them due to the thread unraveling more which is making the shoe loose. Otherwise, the color and the look of the shoe is nice.

While I love how comfy and warm these slippers are the tie in the front is unnecessary. Not only is it unnecessary but it doesn't stay tied at all. At first I didn't care but after having my baby and having it get untied all the time and nearly tripping over it, it's not ok and definitely a design flaw. I do love ll bean products but this item has become extremely disappointing

Unfortunately, these mocs were 2 different shades of tan (easily noticeable). Also, the right is a bit longer and wider than the left, but they were both larger than anticipated.

Slippers were too big two times. Poor material data. Sales person recommended a bigger size because of the lining. Wrong two times. Very poor service. Sorry but true.

The fur isn't nearly as comfy as my minnetonka but I wore them so much I needed a new pair. I spent twice as much in these and they're half as good.

My daughter and I got these for Christmas last years and her slippers fell apart. They are expensive slippers I would have thought they would last longer. It is very disappointing. We don't have a dog and she doesn't wear them outside.

I first got these slippers in 2007 and they lasted me for nearly a decade. I loved how warm and cozy they were and I could wear them around the house and if I had to step outside for something (but not wearing like regular shoes). One thing that I never liked was that the laces never would stay tied for long, no matter how many times I double knotted them. Eventually though I needed a new pair, so I purchased them again and loved initially. But this pair did not last as long - soon a small hole formed near one of my toes, and then it got to be huge, to the point all of my toes hang out of the hole :( Sadly between this issue and the ongoing laces never staying tied, causing me to trip, I will never buy these again (and to think I once thought I'd buy these for life).

These house shoes are comfy, cozy, soft, and I HATE THEM. They have leather laces for some reason that refuse to stay tied, and I'm sick of tripping over my own slippers every dang day. The leather comes unknotted on its own with regular movement / walking in less than one day and they're too thick to easily double knot. Not that it matters. When I struggle through the double knot it just comes undone on its own in two days. Slippers don't need laces. They're meant to be SLIPPED on. And adding this variety of laces just makes them into a constant tripping hazard, which I don't need more of. I already have two cats and a toddler who have the "Tripping Mom" job handled; the least my house shoes can do is not come untied on the stairs.

I loved these slippers as soon as I first tried them on. I sized down from a 10.5 to a 10 to account for leather stretching, but looking back I wish I would've gotten a 9, as they flop off my feet if they're not tied tightly. However, that's the least of my concerns. Like many of the other newer reviews say, the quality is just not the same. I only wore these in the house and after a little over a year, the heels have completely worn out and the leather has torn. A small hole formed in the leather near my toes due to how thin it was (not because of the stitching, it is still intact). I took them to the store to have them replaced because the return policy states "we will only consider items for return that are defective due to materials or craftsmanship." Since poor quality leather is an example of defective materials, I assumed that this would qualify. Unfortunately, the sales associates told me that I "got my year's use out of them," so they can't replace it. I'm extremely disappointed with this and do not plan to buy any more slippers from L.L. Bean.

I received a pair of these last Christmas (2021). They were initially lovely and fit spectacularly. The fur lining hugged my feet and the leather exterior was sturdy enough to maintain its shape. The slippers performed admirably for one year. I wore them primarily in the cooler months (being too heavy in the summer) and, just after Christmas this year (2022), the leather near the toe box tore free from its stitching. To be clear, the stitching didn't fall apart. It was the leather that was thin and ripped. The quality is something I would expect from a pair of slippers from a cheap store, not an expensive pair from L.L. Bean. I am, to say the least, disappointed. And now to find a new pair of more durable slippers to stay cozy in the snowy months this winter.

I have worn these type of slippers for the last 15 years. It's been a long time since I ordered a pair but when they came today I was horribly disappointed. Very narrow(I do not have wide feet) not much cushioning on the bottom and very pointy toes that made my feet hurt just trying them on. I was so excited for new slippers. Back they go!

Too short in regular size. Slippers do not match ~ one was rounded in the toe and the other was pointed in the toe.

I was excited to find extra wide slippers because a foot injury has made me covet footwear that didn't squeeze my toes. These would be perfect if the shoe sizes for the left and right foot matched. I'm afraid I didn't realize the difference until wearing them for a few days and cutting out the horrifically placed paper tags (sewn onto the bottom of the lining so they rubbed against my arches) and trying to figure out why the right foot slipper felt tight (of course it would be the right foot, the injured foot and the reason I needed extra wide slippers) while the left foot slipper was a fish tank. I am hoping the right slipper will stretch so I can comfortably wear socks. I would call these adequate, not great, and I hope they will stretch out enough to get me through this winter. You can see the toes are shaped differently and there is a 1/8 to 1/4 inch difference in the toe box.

Very thin sole. Do not buy if you have foot problems. Right moccasin shaped different than the left one.
