Actually warm and I can still move my arms while wearing a sweater

Love my new down jacket! Like the fact that it runs a little longer and keeps me toasty warm.

I'm living in this coat and wish I bought it years ago. The coat is roomy enough for a bulky sweater. Like the pack away jackets, the material won't hold up to cat claws, so keep the coat away from the kitty. The up side is the near-weightless warmth. I have felt no pain wearing the coat in freezing temps.

I was able to purchase this jacket as an L.L.Bean Student Ambassador. I had been wanting a rust colored jacket for a long time and this exceeded my expectations. It's very comfortable and keeps me warm in the cold and windy mountain weather. I'm 5'8 and got a size large because i wanted to be able to layer underneath.

I am so happy with this jacket. I bought the sugarplum in Large and I am 5'2" 140lbs. Fits great. I wore it alone with just a turtleneck and I have lots of room. With a sweater it still fits, not as loose, but not at all confining. I like my jackets to be roomy. The raglan sleeves and the fitted side panels give it a nice look. It's a perfect length landing just below my butt. Now for the best part. I love traveling hands free and tend to stuff my phone, wallet and keys in all my pockets. This jacket comes with a huge inside pocket on the lower left side. No where in the description does it mention this and I am so happy to have discovered it. Like I said, I fill my pockets and just go and this extra pocket is perfect for me. It has the inside chest zippered pocket as well. So, four pockets for me is a plus. When I am looking for a jacket the pockets are a game changer. ( LL Bean you may want to mention this pocket in the description details). I also want to mention that I ordered this jacket around 10am one morning and it was at my doorstep the following day at 2pm!

I LOVE this jacket! It is so warm and comfortable. Keeps me toasty on the playground as I do recess duty. Highly recommend. Will be getting another color next year! I'm 5'5", 142 lbs, 38 inch bust and bought the medium. Fits great with or without layers.

LL Bean will stand behind their products. This coat is very warm and cozy for those cold winter days.

This is an excellent lightweight warm down jacket. It also fits good.

The fit is on point, the various closures are ideal and and the color (purple) is spectacular. I am 5'2", 125 lbs and I bought a medium. Fits well with room for a sweater beneath. I highly recommend this jacket.

This jacket is ightweight yet warm. I also own this 850 series in a full-length version. The fit is very good but a bit snug in the hips. My full-length 850 (of the same size) has a better fit.

Originally ordered Regular Large which is a size I have ordered other jackets. It was to snug with just a shirt. A regular extra large would be too big. I noticed on the size chart the main difference between the Regular large and Petite extra large was more room in the chest. The petite extra large is perfect. I have a 3 in 1 LLBEAN rain jacket with a light lining. My plan is to remove the linning and wear 850 down with the rain jacket on colder rainy days. The 850 down fits perfectly with the rain jacket without a bulky look.

This jacket is incredibly light and warm. I used it in super cold windy weather in the mountains and it worked as well as my heavy puffy down jacket. Great technology

Very lightweight, but extremely warm. You are never cold wearing these jackets.

I love this jacket It's so light but very warm, even in below 0 temperatures. It blocks wind well. At 5'7" & 145# my size L jacket is slightly loose , but cinches snug around hips. Love the Rosewood color and zippered pockets

Whenever I wear it I get compliments on the vivid blue color. It's comfortable and warm without being bulky.
