This jacket is very lightweight yet warm. I don't think it would be warm enough for very cold weather. However for temps in the 40's it is perfect. I haven't had the opportunity to try it in the very cold. It is attractive and well made.

I bought the ultralight 850 down jacket for my grand-daughter. She just loves it and she looks quite cute. She says it very warm and light weight. I just might have to purchase one for my self.

Great jacket. I had bought this same jacket in a more lightweight style and needed something warmer for an upcoming trip so ordered this. I was concerned ordering the bright pink color since it's not my normal choice but turns out I love it and have had several compliments on it. What I like about this jacket is that it's very light but still very warm. I ordered the XXL so I could layer it and it's perfect.

Surprising how warm this light weight jacket is. Love the pockets - I don't need a purse! Extra wide pocket on the inside is perfect for my sunglasses; I could even put a small book in there. Often, even when I order petite, sleeves are too long, but not this time. I'd highly recommend this.

These 850 jackets are great. This is my second one. My husband has 1 too. Light and warm. Easily washable when necessary is a plus.

Warm, lightweight, comfortable and it does repell the rain! Loved it so much I bought one in another color, navy!

I love this jacket! It's so lightweight and easy to move around in. Very cozy warm too. I ordered up a size to accommodate a sweater or layers. It's great for walks or errands and has a nice line. Doesn't look bulky. I've bought many Bean jackets and this has become a go to. Highly recommend.

I have the vest, two jackets and the 3/4 length coat. They are unbelievable warm and so light that I forget I have a coat on Even kept me warm in Alaska. I am 5'3 115lbs and have size small in all 4.

One of my goals was to buy a down jacket this year and this one is ideal. Light weight and warm. The same quality I always get when buying from here ! I am satisfied with purchase!

I bought this jacket for my daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it! It's very lightweight but warm.

Light yet very warm; works beautifully, and has an attractive color. Had to send the first one back--my old size is no longer what's called that size (size names have changed) but the new one in a couple of sizes larger version works very well and is roomy enough for me to wear a down vest under it in subzero wind chill temperatures.

This was a gift for my wife. She really likes it. It looks great on, it's warm and very light weight. I would highly recommend this jacket.

I already have 2 other versions of this jacket purch. fr. LLB previously. This one fits the best of the 3. The sleeves are a tad bit longer which is perfect for me, & the spaciousness of the jacket body is awesome. The photo when I ordered it showed as a pure clear purple but what I rec'd was Royal or Sapphire Blue. I still love it but sure wish LLB would add purple to its line up of colors....a universally loved color!!

It's a great fit. Color true to picture. Warm enough in cold, single digit numbers.

This jacket is great! So comfortable and light. I live where it’s rare to need a heavy coat, but I needed something for this recent unseasonal cold snap. I’m so glad I purchased this! Very comfortable and not restricting like so many warm jackets are. I’m 5’4”, 150 lbs—Large Petite fits perfectly, with room for a sweater underneath.

Warm and light weight. I bought it for walking in 40 to 50 degree weather but I think it's warm enough to wear in colder weather.

The only thing I don't like about it is that sometimes a feather pokes through the fabric.

Warm and very light weight. Sized well. Wish there was a double zipper like my other LL Bean jackets so when you get into a car you can unzip the bottom.

Loved it! But I bought one with good, which one even better for me. Good quality, my favorite color, warm and fits perfectly. Wind proof. I already walked on a wet snow weather for an hour and it didnt get wet through fabric and down and didn't loose puffiness either.

The jacket is so comfortableit doesn't feel like you are wearing a winter jacket. It is just right for whatever the temperature. If it is a bit warmer you do not get feeling too hot, and if it's cold the jacket keeps you comfortably warm. Love it!
