I can't believe the forest gray is in the men's 850 and not women's! I want a new 850 for myself and my husband. The forest gray is too light for him but just right for me! The other women's colors are boring except blue but I have a similar blue. My husband has navy. What color can I get him? Ok. Olive is ok but it's the only color I like for myself. Darn! I'll wait another year.

Great light jacket, like wearing a cloud. Best without a thick layer underneath as the shoulders, upper arms are not too roomy.

I took one star off due to the sizing, I am a petite 5ft tall and 102 lbs, I do wear usually size Small from LLBean, this time it was a bit bulky, a XS size would have been probably perfect, I kept the well constructed, light and warm puffer jacket. It seems that the sizing was on the large scale for a Small.

Light weight, quite warm, looks sleek and fits well.

I bought the gold which I love. But the down feathers showed through the light colored jacket material, making it look dirty. Every seam was gray and the whole jacket looked striped because of the lightweight shell. Otherwise would have loved it!

I love these jackets. Aside from the color, I like everything about this jacket. I have 3 hooded. This color though, shows the down and not in a good way. I'm also not a fan of the speckled interior.

Well made. Beautiful color. Sleeves was too long for petite.

I originally ordered this jacket to replace a bulky older coat I wear when I'm at the barn brushing and grooming my horse. The weather here fluctuates and I didn't think this coat would work on the colder windy days, so it's now my "wear to work, go on errands" coat...and I love the color!. Glad I got the large size for layering. A happy mistake!

I finally had to replace my current 850 coat. This coat, as others have said, runs larger than my current coat. It's wider and comes down farther on my torso. I could have gotten a size XS, but my shoulders are too wide. It feels as warm as my original coat. One odd thing - the inside pocket up near the neckline that I put my keys and license in was moved from the left side to the right side. As a right handed person, it is awkward.

The jacket was purchased as a gift. The size and fit are very good. The quality also seems very good, only time will tell. The jacket replaces another brand that was losing the down. The one concern I have is that my wife has already seen a feather poke through the inner lining.

I loved the jacket, but had to return it. Even though I followed the size guide it was too big.

I like the jacket. It's warm enough. I would not have bought it, however, if I had realized that I'd be a walking advertisement for l.l.bean.

The jacket appears to be well made but thinner than the same jacket I bought about 5 years ago. The design and quality of stitching, pockets, etc. are same quality and it is warm but a little hard to compare to my other jacket because it is thin but it seems very packable so that adds some benefit. I noticed this jacket has polyester "printed lining" whatever that means versus it being polyester in the older version - probably makes no difference. The blue color is very nice, same as online color.

Warm, but lightweight jacket. In several places, feathers are popping through small holes in the fabric.

I purchased the wrong size and was informed that my exchange will take at least a month! Disappointed

Originally ordered large and i was drowning in it. Easy return process, ordered medium. Love the color but surprised it was snug at the hip.

I've been wanting a down sweater or slim down jacket. I grabbed this gorgeous rose gold jacket at a sale price. Unfortunately, it is cut too tight in the shoulders, limiting my arm range of motion and preventing layering. The sleeves were a perfect length and the jacket itself seemed like it would be just what I wanted. A bigger size would have been too big everywhere else. I ordered my usual size M. I am 5'4" with an athletic build. I would recommend this if you don't have broad shoulders. I'll try a vest next.

I really like this jacket. I liked the color and that it was easy to pack and stuff into a backpack when the day got warmer. I was expecting it to keep me a little warmer, though. The morning temps were in the 20s and I wore a heavy sweatshirt under the jacket but I was still a little cold. Size-wise, sometimes I am a small, sometimes XS. The XS was perfect.

Loved the jacket, lightweight, perfect color. Unfortunately my Border Collie, Scout, loved it too. Not sure if it can be salvaged. Just wish the outside shell was a little thicker and stronger.

Color is beautiful. Sizing seems way off. (I have bought Petite Small items from LLBean for a long time. These jackets seem bigger and longer-sleeved than usual Petite sizes. Ended up with Petite XS.)

Love the waterproof qualities and insulative value. The fit at the hem could be looser for pear shaped women. Do not like the fact the the inside chest pocket: it is on the right side, which is awkward for right handed people, the majority of which we are.

Great, but prefer the loftiness of the "big baffle" version.
