I purchased this coat to replace my old LLBean packable down coat, that I have worn out. These coats are amazing for every day but also for travel because they pack into their integrated zippered pouch and are very light for travel. It's the best

I needed a winter coat that would keep me warm, would be okay in the rain, was stylish AND packable! This coat delivered! Perfect for my travels... it kept me very warm and dry in the rain... plus worked as a nice blanket on the plane - a win-win! Highly recommend this!

Wonderful coat. Lightweight, warm and not too puffy

This is my second LL Bean 3/4 coat. Puffy, but not too much; it keeps me warm.

I'm 5'5" 120 lbs and ordered this coat in a size small. It fits perfectly, is warm & light weight & so comfortable . I absolutely love everything about it.

I'm very happy with this purchase. I'm outside most days in the winter for long walks with our dog. I wear it with a heavy sweater and I feel warm and comfortable. I can move around easily without feeling like a stuffed sausage! There are plenty of large pockets - 2 inside and 2 outside. I am 5' 2" - 95 lbs and the Petite XS is a perfect fit. The Gunmetal Gray was a nice change from Black.

I needed a longer coat, but didn't want anything overly bulky, and this coat is perfect! Fits well, very lightweight yet super warm, and comfortable to wear. Love that it is longer for walking in this polar weather we have had this winter, very cozy! What more could one ask for??

I have a longer version of this coat that I bought years ago and love it so much that it's all I wear. I gave away my other coats. It is still in great shape, but I wanted another shorter version.

I was looking for a down coat that was warm enough for Chicago winters and not too bulky to wear with a backpack. This coat was perfect for that.

The zipper broke and LL Bean sent me a new jacket!

Lightweight but keeps you warm in the coldest weather

Truly a terrific jacket in many ways. I typically wear a large size, but I went up two sizes to a 1X because I like to wear thick, bulky sweaters under the jacket. Good decision as the fit is spot on. I tend toward always being cold, so I was quite concerned that this garment have the ability to ward off the bone chilling cold of our severe New England weather. I worried needlessly as it sent Ole Man Winter on his way with fashionable aplomb! I am close to six feet tall, and while I wasn't concerned about the overall length of the jacket, I was worried about the sleeve length. Again, I needn't have spent one second thinking about the sleeves as the fit is precisely as I wanted. The garment color is an attractive dark slate gray. I didn't want a jacket in black nor navy, so this color is a suitable choice. I also like the pattern of the feather baffles in the jacket. The clever placement design gives the illusion of a slimmer silhouette. I have not laundered the jacket yet, so I cannot attest to its durability. The one gripe I have is that it sheds tiny feathers both on the outside and inside of the jacket in a larger quantity than I would have normally expected. Perhaps the next iteration of this jacket could be a non-down version.

We're having the coldest winter in 10 years, and I'm cozy warm in my new coat. This down coat has a dressy feel to it. I don't feel like a stuffed sausage!

A great purchase! Excellent for warmer months to keep you cool and keeps you incredibly warm in cooler months.

The zipper malfunctioned in my original LLBean 3/4 length down jacket. I was able to return it to my local LLBean store and choose another down coat. Since I didn't have my receipt they gave me the sale price of $140 towards my new coat. I paid another $140 for my new coat which was a better coat than I originally purchased.

The perect coat for your carry-on luggage. Roomy enough for layers, and good looking. I'm 5'3" and 135. Couldn't be happier with fit!

This coat is extremely lightweight while also being very warm. I really appreciate the hood not being heavy on my head. I only wish it had more pockets.

I love this coat. It has kept me warm when the temperature was 8 degrees. I love it so much I bought my Mother one! I think this is one of the best purchases I have ever made

Very pleased with the fit and construction and styling. Great lightweight warmth, but room for adding an inner layer if necessary. I love it. Time will tell in regard to durability!

Perfect Coat. This is exactly what I needed. Warmth, comfort, utility. The length is good to cover bum and legs for chilly days but not restrictive. Nice shape to the coat. Pockets make perfect sense. I can store hat and gloves inside and the side pockets keep hands warm. Double zipper is great for driving, sitting. Fleece at neck is soft on the face. Hood is small and fits to my head, over my hat, unlike most hoods that sort of just become a sail to hold onto.
