Light weight and super warm, great color, but feathers already popping out.

I bought this to have a light but warm, casual coat. So far, so good. I'm not finding problems with cold patches that others mention. I have not yet worn it to walk the dog in cold weather, and we have not yet had really cold temps. HOWEVER, the size I usually wear was much too small. Fortunately, the next size up works just fine. I wish I had paid attention to reviews that said that to begin.

Love it, almost perfect for every day. Zipper tends to catch in the fabric.

Bought this coat to replace my 1st generation LLBean 850 down coat purchased many years ago. Same high quality and great fit and love the new gunmetal grey color. So disappointed though, that it is only available with a hood! I wear hats and scarves, and the hood is always in the way. I get that I'm probably in the minority here, but maybe you could at least make the hood detachable?

I love the cut, color, and weight of this coat. I happily wore one almost like this (except for the hood on this style) for years. The only issue holding me back from giving a five star rating is the zipper. For the price it seems flimsy.

Beautiful coat and fits perfectly. I'm 5'2 and weigh 118 and I bought size medium regular. My only con is that there are no snap closures. You have to zip it up or down for cold or wind protection and down to comfortably sit in the car.

I generally like this coat but would like it better if it had a hood that rolled into a zipped collar or even no collar. It is also a bit bulkier than I thought it would be. Less bulk would make it easier to pack for travel. But it is well made (except zipper can be balky) and keeps me warm!

I tried this coat on at the store. It is a beautifully designed coat, very lightweight. But, the hood adjusters stick out on the clavicle area and that looks very unattractive. I did not purchase.

This coat is very pretty. I ordered the Reg medium and it fits with plenty of room for extra layers underneath. Sleeves are long enough with extra length to cover my wrists. I ordered the plum color which I love. The reason I couldn't give it five stars was because it's not quite warm enough for true Maine winters. I wore it to a soccer game this fall with temps in the 50's and my back was cold as I sat in my lawn chair. But I expect I'll be layering up with heavier sweaters in the future.

A bit too short but a nice warm coat. Bought this same one several years ago and it was slightly longer.

Nice coat, well made...could use a bit more down fill for the price, but overall my wife likes it.

Light weight and warm, even in Alaska. 4/5 stars only because within first week of wearing feathers started coming out.

The coat is very nice and very light and warm. However, the color looks like the "normal" navy blue, but when it came, it is not navy blue. I am getting used to the color.

Unfortunately I returned this coat as there was a small pin hole just below the top stitching and the feathers were coming out. It was right in the front of the coat so I'm not sure why someone didn't see the hole before shipping it to me. The coat also seemed a bit big through the middle.

It's generally a nice coat. Soft, nice color. It's a little thin, so I don't really wear it below freezing unless I wear 3 layers under it. It may just be a defect in mine, but one of the pockets is significantly shallower than the other. Didn't exchange it bc I don't want it going in the trash over such a small defect.

This is my second time buying this coat. My first one finally got a bit dirty after 5 or so yeas of Chicago winter. It's the warmest, most lightweight coat I can find. So that's what makes this a winner The flaw? At this price point the hood should be detachable. I don't like hooded coats and this is the only reason I don't give this 5 stars (the first version of this coat didn't have a hood so perfection in my opinion)

The coat was great. The beige lining with the lovely blue coat just didn't appeal. I returned it. Maybe lining the same color as coat would be better.

Great coat - 1x only slightly larger than the xl and the arms and shoulders are a bit tight cannot wear anything thicker than a light knit under it

Light but very warm, soft and comfortable. Wish the hood was detachable.

I love the feel of this coat. It's very light weight and easy to pack away. This coat is water resistant and the water rolls completely off it . The only problem I seem to have is that the inside stuffing which is white seems to be coming out of the coat . I noticed some coming out even before I wore it and this was on the back side of the hood. After wearing it out for 2 occasions I see this white stuff coming out on another area of the coat. I don't know if this is normal or not but when I return from my international vacation I will be reaching out to LLBean . Over all this was a great purchase for the rain and cold weather we experience in Paris .

plan to return this coat to the local store because there is a pin hole in the coat and the down feathers are coming out. Otherwise I really like the fit and warmth -

The coat is nice-it's warm, however, I do feel like I could have spent less elsewhere for a coat that would have been as warm. I had a heck of a time getting gift cards to work online. I was then told it could take days to get it straightened out. I didn't feel the customer service of LL bean was that great.

I love the coat but the zipper is hard to zip. I've had double zippers before and never had so much trouble zipping it up.

Light and comfortable and warm. The bottom flares out a little too much for my style.
