I used to order fleece jackets from LL Bean almost every year. This one really is designed to look like a sweater, sort-of. I just didn't like the look or feel of the material. Also, it was quite heavy. I ordered the Mint, the light green color, because it looked so great on the model. But it didn't look so great on me. I want the old one.

I have two of these jackets and love them. My husband has one. I wanted to add an additional color this year but will not because of the ugly logo. Makes item look cheap.

I own 2 sweater fleece jackets that I purchased several years ago. They have been my default "go into town" jackets, not too casual, but warm and comfortable. I would like to buy more because mine are beginning to pill after a very respectable life of use. I was hoping you had removed the Logo. I think it gives the jacket a recreational feel - too casual. Looks like I'll have to make mine last at least another year. Just thought I'd let you know.

I count on online shopping to dress my tall body. Please offer more colors (like sailcloth) in this darling jacket in TALL sizes. Right now there are only three colors offered in a tall.

Really wanted to love this. Color, fabric, length, sleeves, zippers, etc were great. Fit, well not so much. I'm 5'2" 135 solid build with ample bust. I ordered a L and found it not big enough for the 36 DDD's and way too big in the waist and hip. Had to return it, alas.

I love the color, however the old sizing of the sweater fleece is much better. It was not fitted, the sleeve length is better and it received many compliments. As for the sleeve length my sister-in-law paid to have her sleeves shortened. I am not getting mine shortened but making do. I love all the colors LL bean has for the sweater fleeces.

I really like this with the exception of the neck. It doesn't fold comfortably. There needs to be a thinner material around the fold neck portion in order for it to fold nicely around the neck. It stands up too much.

This would be a great sweater EXCEPT for the way it fits at the neck. When I zip it part way up, I don't get a nice collar to fold down. The fabric stands up and pokes me in the chin.

I normally wear a size 8 in clothing. I'm tall, so I originally ordered this jacket in a size Medium Tall. Unfortunately, it was too narrow in the shoulders and tight at the bottom (butt/hips area). I returned that jacket and ordered a Large Tall. The difference between the sizes seemed more like two to three sizes! The Large Tall was WAY too big :-( Unfortunately, this jacket won't work for me, which is too bad because the quality is good and I liked that it's a midweight jacket that would be appropriate for spring and fall where I live (Southern California). The search for this type of jacket continues...

Nicely made, but it pulled across the chest. I'm a 36C so I was surprised. I have long arms and the length was perfect. The material is not particularly cozy or soft.

Having extra fabric under the zipper made the collar stand up and irritate my neck, so this wasn't nearly as comfortable as the average zip-front jacket.

I ordered this jacket thinking it was a different style, so that's my fault. When I got the jacket and realized it was not the style I wanted, I returned it. I sent an email to customer service asking about the status of my return and was told that it would be 5-6 weeks before I would get a refund for my purchase. In my mind, that is unacceptable. I don't think I will order the jacket I initially wanted to purchase when I finally do get my refund.

I was hoping for a true fleece. This is a sweater. I don't really know why fleece is in the title. If you are looking for a traditional fleece, this is not it. However, if you want a sweater, this seems fine. I did not try it on but it looks like a true to size medium.

I didn't like the stiff fit and snug arms.. Got accustomed to that & fell in love, It is cozy, very nice look and style but for the fabric. Pilled after second wash and is scratchy. May sadly return. Very much hoping the Airlight Knit hoodie doesn't do the same.

I purchased this jacket over a year ago, I've worn it less than 100 times since I've owned it. Generally, I like it, the weight and fit are good in chilly weather. However, when I started to wear it this fall, I noticed that the seam at the end of the sleeve is coming apart, as if, the seam was sewn too close to the edge of the fabric. I love LL Bean products and am used to them wearing like iron so am disappointed that this product has not lived up to LL Bean's usual standards. If I recommended this jacket to a friend, I would offer a caveat about the seam.

I find the sweater fabric is not comfortable against my face. Unfortunately, the collar will not bend down, and the collar is too tall for me. I'm going to try the fitness fleece.

I didn't know what "sweater fleece" would look like. I was wanting "an ONLY fleece" jacket, and I personally don't like the 'sweater' part on the outside that I think can get snagged easily, like a typical sweater. I loved the color, Adobe Rose, and was so sure I'd like it, that I ordered Faded Eggplant too. I'm RETURNING BOTH, because I don't want to 'baby them'. I need something more like what LLBean used to carry that can be washed and dried often, and come out great. The fleece lining is very flimsy, IMO. It'll probably best a best seller - it's just not for me.

Nice fit, nice color. But I don't like being a walking advertisement for LL Bean. I would purchase more things if they didn't so prominently put their logo on them. Otherwise, I'd give this five stars.

First of all, I love the color and the general style. However, in order to be able to layer a cotton turtleneck, I had to go up 2 sizes in order to get it to fit in the arms, thus making the body too large. It might be ok for a mild, slightly chilly day, but it cannot handle the winds of the Outer Banks, of NC. Still, my biggest complaint is in the overall fit of the sleeves, just too tight for layering. Am keeping it because I love the color, but cannot really recommend this to anyone. Sorry, Bean, improve the fit.

I like this sweater. I purchased three of them before I found out that after just a couple of washes, the fabric starts to pill. Unfortunate. Perhaps LL Bean could make these in a cotton which won't pill. I wouldn't buy more of these because of that.

Nice cardigan; but in my normal size M the sleeves were too snug and body as well. I wish women's clothing styles were more standardized for size. Had to return for size L.

I wish LL Bean would go back to having real quality - I have 30 year old LL Bean products that are still good. Stuff changes and usually for the worse. This is more of a jacket than a sweater - it's too warm in the house and as another reviewer said, the collar is too high to be comfortable when zipped up. The logo is too big. I would have loved to replace my old LL Bean lightweight fleece jacket but it's not available. I look every season for a replacement. The only reason I bought this was it was an ok color and I needed a new fleece. I worry that it won't wear as well because it is a knit that can snag and I read that it pills after washing and drying. We'll see......

I first purchased this in a Misses Small then reordered in Petite Small for shorter sleeve and overall length. I LOVED the look, fit and Spruce(?) color. Then I turned and caught the rear view across my shoulders (both jackets). Just below the collar in the back is a double layer of the sweater fleece. Even if I stood up perfectly straight, the fabric bunched up and looked like I had a hump between my shoulders. If I leaned forward, it bunched and pulled into horizontal folds. I tried to convince myself I was ok with that, but in the end felt too self conscious to keep, and returned both. Otherwise, the Small Petite was perfect.

I had an older version of this sweater. Aside from the visible logo on the front, this sweater is not as heavy as the one I purchased 4 years ago. I use it as a ski sweater, wearing it over several layers. It is plenty roomy. Could probably wear an extra small, but I wanted it a little big. Overall, I like the sweater.

I have purchased these jackets in the past as gifts. But now with the LL Bean patch logo on the front they look so tacky. It is embarrassing to wear or give as a gift. Please remove the patches or put it on the inside of the jackets. The jackets were so nice looking and tasteful prior to add the tacky patch. I hope the LL Bean Marketing and management actually listens to consumer requests. I have read many other reviewers mentioning the same thing.
