Devilishly difficult to take off even with wearing the lightest sweater. Sleeves are too narrow. Love the color, but may return it.

I didn't care for the fabric texture and the cut just wasn't complimentary on me

I purchased one of these years back, and it's still in pretty good shape. I would buy another in a heartbeat if only LLBean would remove (or modify) the too conspicuous label from the front of the jacket. The label could, for example, be smaller, or embroidered (same color as the fleece), or placed at the hem of the sleeve or the waist. It could be eliminated altogether from the outside and placed inside at the nape of the neck (as was the case with my older one). If anyone actually reads these comments, it is clear that the label is a point of contention for many. Please listen to your customers.

Sleeves too short, hit above my wrists 2 inches. Otherwise a great jacket, very warm and well made.

I waited to get this jacket until it was on sale, was very excited when the very pretty lavender was! I've had it less then 1 year, only really have worn it this Fall. I'm SO disappointed that it's pilling. I expected much more from Bean. I've been shopping with them for years this jacket does not have the quality I expect.

I wanted to love this fleece, but the neck was stiff and if I didn't zip it fully the collar would annoy my my neck. It's a warm sweater and the fit is nice. I liked the length too. It wasn't right for me and I took it back.

Great blue color, but pockets are lined with white fabric so if pockets are unzipped or sweater is worn open in front, white detracts from look. LL Bean, at this price how hard would it be to line with a similar color! I will be returning.

Loved this jacket when I first got it, it is warm. Less than handful of wears, the trim around the sleeve cuff came off. I expected better quality from LL Bean.

Scratchy, shapeless, and runs quite large. I was pretty disappointed. Returned it.

I was so looking forward to this arriving, and so disappointed when it did. I always wear size Regular Small with LLBean, but this jacket was enormous on me: long, shapeless, kind of like a sack with sleeves. Also the material was stiff and scratchy, and the color (spruce) anemic. I gave it two stars because the seams and zippers all seem well made, but completely unflattering and uncomfortable so I will be returning it.

Good Looking but Rough Polyester Body. I like the color, shape, but the materials are my least favorite. I got it cheep on Christmas sale, otherwise I would not even look at it.

Unimpressed with quality. As other reviews mentioned. The pockets are white when unzipped. This is stark contrast to the color of the jacket. Doesn't look right when unzipped. Also, I ordered a LONG, which was nice in the body, but the arms were NOT long. Maybe quit using overseas cheap manufacturers? Bring this back to the US. I won't be buying more!

I am so very happy with this purchase! The fit is great and the jacket is soft and looks great! The tall sizes are fantastic (more tall options would be even more fantastic)!

I ordered four versions of the sweater fleece to find one that fit properly - both the women's L and XL were way too tight in the shoulders to allow comfortable movement of the arms. The men's large was the only size which had enough space in the shoulders, but everything else was huge. I think the fit has changed since previous versions because I've had fleeces in the past that fit properly.

Several years ago I bought the 3n1 in black. The fleece is now badly pilled and needs replacing but I do not need to replace both parts of the 3n1 because the raincoat portion is still in excellent condition. Unfortunately LLB does not offer the sweater fleece in black. My second color option is Atlantic blue, but with the *extremely* unfortunate use of white for the pocket lining, I will not be buying it. So this is to LLB's buyers ... how about a black or a dark grey in this? Or could you at least coordinate the color of the lining of Atlantic with the jacket?

I purchased this jacket several months ago, my first item of sweater fleece. The color is beautiful, fit is great, it's warm, but the sweater fabric is poor, in my opinion. In a short time, the jacket started to pill. It does not hold up even as well as Bean sweaters. I tell many of my friends about your great quality, but cannot recommend this jacket. I will probably not buy sweater fleece again. I am not used to jackets pilling.

Sleeves are to tight even though I bought a larger size. Material is stiff and tends to bunch up around neck when sitting.

Sweater fleece was a pretty aqua color, fabric was not a soft as I had expected. Sleeves were 6 inches too long. Shoulders did not fit well. Size was a 2X....

While I loved the color of the blue jacket, the white lining for the pockets completely ruined the look. I had read other negative reviews about the white lining, but since I really liked the color of the jacket, I didn't think the lining would bother me. It did. If you always wear your jacket zipped up, then the lining is irrelevant. However, if you leave unzipped and move around, the lining pops. Reluctantly, I decided to return the jacket.

Runs small. The petite size is very short. I wish I had ordered a size up and not petite.

I bought this jacket in gray before and it did not have a label on the front. The new ones do and I thought it was tacky and removed it. And the color is dark purple, not "muted purple". I also bought the vest in "muted purple" and it is a beautiful lavender (although it too now has the tacky label on the front). BOO to marketing.

I really didn't like it. A size large was so snug across the chest, it felt weird to me. I normally wear a size medium but buy the large in certain items, usually tops and jackets for added flexibility and roominess. The sleeves are very snug and don't have any room for movement. But this is not a match for me. The material is very stiff, the zipper bunches up and forms a bump, or pouch over the torso. Not at all flattering. Finally, the brand logo on the front is very annoying to me. It looks like a spot of dirt or a stain. I refuse to wear visibly branded clothing. I returned this.

Generally I love LLB. But this jacket is far beneath their usual quality. The cut is not fitted as stated, it is boxy and has a weirdly cut shape. The arms look and feel like they are made from cardboard. The overall fit is boxy, not a feminine boxy but almost cut for a youth or man. I particularly dislike the material. Advertised as a soft fleece, it lacks movement and flow around the bust, shoulders, torso and waist. The material is stiff and doesn't move with you; feels more like I am encased in a shroud. It's tight across the shoulders and torso, and flattens over the bust. Thankfully, I am not well-endowed in the bust because in this jacket, the cut across the bust would make me look like HumV up-armored vehicle. This is the most unflattering, unfeminine jacket I have even tried on. As for the color, it is not a lavendar, purple, heather, or any pastel shade. It looks like a bad blue-green-red dye job that wasn't well matched. It's not a nice looking jacket, period. Finally, the last thing that I really dislike is the logo-tag. LLB never used to show their brand, now it seems to be the thing to do, and it's visible on just about every single product. It takes the brand down IMO, not up. Visible branding on any item is just ridiculous to me. If I wanted people to know the brand of clothing I am wearing, it would be by a very cleverly placed and subtle icon-surely not a large label in black and white block print that advertises a low-budget clothing manufacturer. It looks cheap and tacky. Even if every other thing about this jacket was perfect, I'd still be returning based on the stupid looking branding label. This is a huge fail for me!

I have this in pewter and evening blue and I love them so much I ordered one in arctic blue. I was SO disappointed that instead of the dark grey pocket liner on the inside of the pocket and inside the jacket like the other two, it is BRIGHT white. I often wear mine unzipped but I would never do that with this color combo. Please use a subtle color like the others and I'll buy it again. I like the form fit, zippers, warmth and I always get compliments. Now it looks unfinished - almost like a mistake was made. Sadly, I am returning it.
