I am buying another color (Freeport Hunting) of this Scotch Plaid flannel hoodie because I enjoy the two I already have in different plaids, and I know that Winter will come as it does every year. The first one I bought I was concerned it would "add pounds" to my figure, but it actually did the reverse. Unlike Scotch Plaid Flannel shirts that must be buttoned/unbuttoned, this zippered hoodie is more convenient to slip on and off, and it is longer than the shirt, with a heavy twill tape on the bottom hem to keep it hanging nicely, not clinging or riding up. It is hard to think about a nice thick heavy flannel when the August temperatures are over 100, but on a deep two-a-day sale it was a great buy.

I ordered a medium based on my size and the reviews; not tight. Could order a large if you wanted to wear it as more of a jacket with larger layers underneath, but fine to layer with a regular t-shirt or tank. Bottom of sleeves and pockets thick/reinforced. I have been watching this item and waiting for it to go on sale! I will likely not use the dryer for this item just in case it shrinks as I prefer it to be a bit looser.

I have never written a product review for anything, ever. However, this product more than warrants it. Not only is this incredibly comfortable and warm, it is made well. Stress points are reinforced (a very nice touch), the side pockets are large and deep and the bottom edge has a nice curve to it. I throw it on first thing in the morning to take the dogs out and wear it at night when the mountain air gets chilly. Thank you, Mommy for the bestest birthday gift! (Color: Bean of Freeport Blue)

Quality construction and material, fit is flattering but comfortable. The navy/green is gorgeous.

I want another for my birthday. I wear it every day. The flannel lined hoodie led to this one.

I have three now, 2 small petites and 1 medium, slightly fitted, still room to layer. The only change I would like is to drop the hood and go with a high neck zip, like on the fleece. The pockets, style and weight are perfect for cool mornings and evenings as I work outdoors early mornings and often until sundown. Thanks for providing petite sizes.

The hoodie is soft, very cute, does run a bit large, but since it's going to be used as a jacket, that will be fine.

Colors are delightful in a mirror and according to friends. Absolutely cozy, and even feels pretty.

I really love this piece as I am a hoodie freak. If I have any reservations it is that here in New Orleans it does not get cold enough to wear it very often. When I do wear it I love it. I have broad shoulders and that is why I ordered the XL. I am glad I did as otherwise I think it would be too tight.

LLB, please keep making this wonderful item! I own 4 of these already and just ordered another after waiting for a certain plaid to come back into stock. This shirt is my favorite LLBean product. I just love the soft coziness of the flannel, the zip front, the curved hem, and the pockets! This is my go-to casual clothing choice in the fall and winter. My usual LLB size is small, but this is cut a bit more generously so an X-small fits perfectly and I do still have enough room for a light layer underneath it. I wouldn't call it a "boxy" fit, because the curved hem and slightly-shaped sides make it more contoured and flattering. It machine-washes and dries beautifully...I wash in cold water and don't hesitate to dry it in the dryer, and there's been no shrinkage. It's very comfortable and more stylish than a plain flannel shirt...goes great with jeans or jeggings, and makes it easy to look put-together! As a side note, I've packed this for traveling in Europe in the fall (several times), and it has worked wonderfully to keep me cozy and warm in damp, chilly British and Scottish weather. Plaids are matched across the front. It's simply ideal for the cooler months--don't hesitate! Highly recommended.

Perfect for cool evening's

I love this hoodie. It is soft and cozy and a perfect fit after washing. The sleeves were slightly long for me before washing, but after the first wash and tumble dry it is a perfect fit. Normally I purchase petite, but for this article of clothing I am glad I went with regular.

This is perfect for cool evening in the spring and summer - warm but not heavy. And it is good looking !

It fit exactly as expected. Gave it to my Mum for Mother's Day as she loves plaid! Great weight for Spring, Fall, early Winter. She's already worn it often.

Comfortable, big pockets, solid zipper and plaids match up at the seams. I really love this shirt/jacket and wore it all Spring and ordered a second one. Thin enough for warmer days and easy to layer. Probably my favorite LLBean item in years. Would be interested in solid colors too.

I usually wear a medium, but because this hoodie was 100% cotton, I bought a large to allow for shrinkage. It is very soft, and the flannel is substantial and so cozy. I wear it over a long sleeve T. It's perfect for around the house, or I throw it on as I head out for an errand or a walk. This is my new go to layer when there is a chill in the air and one of the best purchases I've ever made.

This flannel jacket is so comfy! I sometimes am cold in the house and love to grab this to keep me warm! The flannel is very soft and cozy. I also have a dog who gets walked a few times a day and the jacket is perfect for outside; love having the hood as an option when outside, especially as I am near the ocean and we have wind quite frequently. This is great product-please continue offering it in your catalog!

I can't tell you how much I love this hoodie. It is well made and has huge pockets inside as well as the regular pockets. The colors are rich and it washes like a dream. I love it so much, I'm going to order a 2nd one.

I really like this shirt. I love the zipper to close it. And I love the pockets. They are big and roomy, and there are two pockets on the inside as well. It's a tad baggy on me by itself, but I can wear another shirt under it and it looks great. My sister saw it and and loved it. She now has her very own. I'm super glad I got this shirt!

Got one of these about 2 yr ago and found I wear it allot. So when they went on a 2 day special again, I decided to get another. The plaids are Wonderful and mine do match up. I wear it as a shirt and not as a jacket tho can wear a shirt under it if I chose to do so. The flannel is very soft on this item. So haven't needed to wear a shirt under it. Love the zipper for easy on and easy off and no concerns over smaller buttons to unbutton. This is a nice shirt jacket for the bux...an LLB item for sure!

I was a tad surprised by the feel of this, although it's exactly as described... good quality flannel. I haven't washed it yet but I love it so much I want another in a different color. Fit is forgiving for sure.
