It fits in with my wardrobe so well.

Being part Scottish I have always been drawn to the tartans but never could find comfortable clothes in the various plaids until I found these superb Scotch plaid jackets/shirts. These are THE BEST! I have two (Black Watch and Prince Charles Edward) and will be ordering a third shortly. Indigo Tartan, I hear you calling my name...... THE PROS: The fabric is substantial yet not heavy and it's incredibly soft and warm. The relaxed fit is just that - relaxed - leaving plenty of room to freely move without the feeling of being confined but not so relaxed that it looks like a circus tent. The Regular Medium fits me perfectly. I live in New York's Finger Lakes region where it can be quite cold for months on end - these jackets serve well by themselves over a tee shirt or as an extra layer under a heavy winter coat. They are also great for throwing on around the house during frosty winter days and evenings. They are wonderfully versatile and I love the full length zipper instead of buttons. It's substantial and glides up and down smoothly. The little leather zipper pull is a nice touch too. The hood is just the right size and - the pockets! There are two inside and two outside and they are deep enough to tote around all kinds of things. As far as washing goes....easy peasy. I machine wash mine in warm water and dry on medium heat with no shrinkage whatsoever. In fact, the jackets come out looking just like they did when they came out of the shipping bag. THE CONS: Actually none - except for one minor thing. The red in the Prince Charles Edward tartan is VERY bright, almost neon. I would prefer a darker, richer red but this certainly isn't a deal breaker for me. The tartan is still lovely. FINAL THOUGHTS: Don't hesitate to buy one (or more) of these. But be forewarned! They are addictive!

I've been wanting one of these for a long time, and finally ordered one. It exceeds my expectations. The flannel is high quality and warm, and the colors are crisp. Because it's a relaxed fit, I bought one size down from my usual Bean size (I often buy the "slightly fitted" style). It's a versatile piece that can be worn open with a tee shirt; or closed. I wash it on cool, dry it for a short time on low, and then hang to dry. It's great that this is available in many different sizes so almost all of us have the chance to enjoy this well designed shirt. I already know that this will become a favorite!

This is so much prettier than it looks in the picture. I got the Angus color and I love it! I live in the south and this should be a perfect spring & fall layer. So glad I ordered it when it was on sale, and combined it with my LLBean credit card points. Love it!

I read all other reviews before purchase and took a chance. After washing and drying, no shrinkage, puckering or loss of shape occurred. Am very happy with this purchase! Fair price.

I freaking love this and I don't say that about many clothing items. It is so well made and comfy. Based on other reviews I sized up to a 3x from my normal 2x. A 2x would probably have worked but I'm happy to have it fit comfortably (not sloppy looking) loose. Handy if I want to wear a sweater under it. It is so soft and very good quality. It's not too heavy and it's still breathable. Take the plunge and buy this. The Dress Gordon pattern is lovely.

I bought a size up and loved it so much I bought two more. I'm waiting for the black and white to be restocked and I'll get one of those also. Everything is perfect about it for me including length and weight. The hood is the right size, not too small or too large.

I have two of these and love them both. They're perfect to wear over t shirts or long sleeves. My first one I got several years ago in dress Gordon, and even though it doesn't have signs of wear yet I got another in angus last winter.

Bean's beefy flannel makes this a luxurious-feeling shirt-jac with a great fit for layering. The Buffalo Plaid with black jeans is a great retro look and brilliantly combines Pacific NW style and practicality. Compliments from strangers!

I absolutely love my Scotch Plaid Flannel Shirt, it is very comfortable and I love that it has a hoodie.

I ordered this in Medium and large to check the fit. The medium was fine but I kept the large because I plan to wear this over long sleeved tops and wanted the extra roominess. It's a casual but very nice flannel layer for the fall and even in the house when its chilly. I purchased the color black watch, a nice neutral. Also forgot to mention how extremely soft it is, total coziness!

Finally flannel that looks feminine! I ordered one size up to wear it as a jacket / layering. It's comfortable, causal and I think it's cute. I bought it in 3 different colors.

I am short but love them big so ordered a XL I have a lg also and washed now about 3 times. I found it did shrink just a very little so that is why I ordered a XL but again, I like them big so I would not go by me.

The first time I purchased this in a 1x to fit over stuff. The XL I purchased this time was plenty big to achieve that. I have a 44" bust and the XL fit fine! Love the style, comfort and quality of this shirt!

I like this hoodie very much. I bought one a couple of years ago and liked that so much thought I would get another. Nice light weight, but warm enough when you need something extra. It's not fitted so XL works for me and I like how it is shaped.

This hoodie is the BEST! I love wearing it. It's soft ,warm and so cozy. I wish it came in more colors!

Unfortunately, I own only one of these, so I have to take it off once in a while to wash as it's not self washable - that's the only downside. Otherwise, perfect hoody: light but warm, deep pockets, can withstand any kind of wear. The fabric does not pill, does not fade, does not shrink. I wear it year round. It is substantial enough for winter wear, yet light enough if you need an extra layer for an air conditioned space in the summer. Makes a great gift for an outdoorsy person or a dog owner who has to walk in all kinds of weather.
