I wanted to like this item but had to return it. I have long arms. I bought the tall size and even before washing the sleeves were several inches too short.

Tried three times in the Dress Buchanan. I thought this would be a reliable buy in my size but they changed the cut of the petite large. It is two inches smaller in chest and 1.5 inches shorter. I cannot stretch my arms out fully without it pulling, it is small all over compared to the previous two I had purchased in the Dress Gordon and Bean of Freeport Hunting a couple years ago. Furthermore, the zipper is hard to start and unzip at the end, they have the insert pin tucked in between both sides of the fabric. Also noticed the zipper lining is a lot stiffer fabric and the color doesn't match the fabric like the other two did. The old zippers zipped freely without issue.
I will not purchase this again until the fit and the quality of the zipper mechanism is the same as it was. I am very disappointed as this was one of my favorite items on here, and the only flannel I'll purchase as I like the relaxed fit to work in and I don't want buttons. If I go with large it will be too long in arms and probably length as well.
A couple of pics to show how the length has changed and also the zipper issue.
I do appreciate LLBean trying to help with reordering but after the third one with the same issues, I figured I should give up. I really hope it's just this batch.

Beware. Adorable looking but fabric collects everything....lint, hair, fuzz, etc. I am bummed, too, because It looks so cute before you wear it.

Loved it when it came but when trying it on it wouldn't zip. The bottom of the zipper is inaccessible and when we were able to get to it it didn't work. However a new one is on its way. We will see if it was just a fluke.

I thought this was so cute and right up my alley. I was wishing it would have been on sale when I purchased it, but I went for it and paid full price. I washed this ONCE and the whole shirt is full of little pilly balls from the flannel. I am very disappointed after paying $70 for this shirt and only wearing it once.

This shirt runs short and snug, like many LL Bean shirts. I discovered the Tall sizes cost 25% more than the regular, and then noticed Plus sizes also cost 25% more. What is up with that? A few more inches of fabric should not require such a huge price difference. Further, if the price of fabric were the reason, Petites would cost less than Regular, which never happens. On principle, I refuse to participate in this charade!

I found the Regular XL a little snug and short, so I thought I'd give the Talls a try. I was shocked to see that a Tall XL is almost 25% more than a Regular XL. Seriously? That's pretty outrageous for a few more inches of fabric. LLB, please get with the retail program and offer one price for all sizes. It's hypocritical to charge the same for Petites (less fabric) and Regular (more fabric), yet jack up the prices for Talls and Plus.

The pocket adds a thick layer of fabric which is uncomfortable. I will probably never wear this but have washed it so probably cannot return it

I have a Portuguese flannel shirt that I love, so I purchased this thinking it would be a great addition to my wardrobe. Although the fabric is the same, the style and fit are not the same. I usually take a MP. This shirt was tight across the chest and in the sleeves, wide towards the bottom and was not a good look for me.When the hood is up, it is loose and has a funny shape to it. The plaid did match up, but the zipper was very stuck. Took a while to get it loose before it would work, but the middle part of the zipper was wavy instead of flat, indicating to me that it may not have properly sewn in. Have been buying majority of my clothes at LLBean for years, but this one is going right back.

Again, I had to return this item because it was NOT worth the money I spent on it, especially being LLBean. It was extremely thin, short in length, arm length was also short. I have never had to return anything from LLBean from all the years I have ordered items. They need to have actual people review and try on this and all items before put into production. I would NOT recommend this to anyone I know. Very, very shocked and disappointed.

I always wash new clothing before wearing in cold water, gentle cycle. I set the dryer on low. Upon removing it from the dryer, the zipper no longer sat properly. The shirt shrunk and the zipper puckered up stiffly and could not be flattened. I think the quality of the zipper is poor and the construction of the shirt not up to LL Bean standards. Regrettably, it's on it's way back.

I washed the shirt when I got it and the leather zipper pull color came out on the shirt, then I was not happy with the quality after I washed it because it pilled up. I order flannels all the time for my husband from Beans and have not had a problem so I was surprised.

Love my flannel shirt and size and fit is great but the material balls up and looks bad. I think for the money this should not happen. I hand washed it and hung to dry but material look bad. Put in dryer on cool to fluff

I purchased this shirt for my wife and after she wore it several times I asked her about it. I forward her assessment. Usually a plaid shirt is a winner in anyones closet and grabbed first. This one, not so much. First of all, it is bell shaped at the bottom. Possibly because there is a one inch wide ribbon sown around the periphery giving the shirt rigidity allowing it to bloom out. Another drawback relating to quality are the two pieces of material sown on the lower inside supposedly representing pockets. Their appearance is more of an indication there was material left over so it was sown in. Last, but not least, is the zipper tab that fits into the zipper housing. This little metal tab is somewhat buried in the material of the shirt making it difficult to get into the zipper tongue used to pull it up.
It is also what my wife and I call a cold shirt. No matter what you put under it or on it...... it's just cold. It pains me to give this type of review because I love L.L. Bean products and usually give them very high ratings. But, my wife and I are honest.

This was a gift and looked absolutely adorable when I took it out of the package. It fits like wearing a large, square cardboard box.. Not sure how you could make something like this actually look bad when you put it on, but it does.

Everytime I sat down it puckered in the front because of the zipper. Very annoying. Returned.

I bought this shirt with high hopes. I got it and washed it before I wore it. I could not have been more surprised, it looked horrible. I ironed it and it looked a little better. I thought maybe washing it it again would help, I wore it a second time and my daughter said it looked awful. I am retuning it.

This is a great looking hoodie initially, but after the first wash (cold, tumble dry low), is faded quite a bit and pilled like crazy! I was hoping to wear it to work on casual Fridays this Fall, but now it looks more like something I'd wear to do yard work. I have a men's flannel shirt that's about six years old that looks better than this hoodie. Very disappointed!

I really liked the look of this shirt and it appeared to be well made. I normally wear a Large (12-14 girl) but ordered a medium based on some reviews and some intuition. The body was large enough -- too large (very puffy in the back), but the sleeves were way too short. I'm not sure what body type this would fit, but sure wasn't mine.

I was very disappointed in this shirt. The shirt ran large to begin with, but it also is very boxy and out of proportion for even a jacket fit. I did not return it because I thought washing it might help to size it better, but unfortunately it didn't help. It is not comfortable as an over shirt or lightweight jacket.
