This was a nice sweater/fleece however I did not like the pocket--it made me look fatter than I am!
I exchanged this item for the full zip sweater/fleece and so far I love it. Its just warm enough for cold nites in Florida and perfect for inside a Maine home in winter. (At least if the wood stove is not going full blast.)

the cut and fit of this garment is fine. But the fabric has a plastic-y feel that I found to be unacceptable. I understand that some fleece fabrics are made from up cycled plastic bottles and I laud companies that use up-cycled products to manufacture new ones. However in this case the fabric has a terrible "hand" and it is not at all cozy and comfortable. Rather it is stiff and uncomfortable. I would not buy another garment that is made from this fabric.

I returned this item. I'm not a girly girl but the orange color was really too masculine. Also, it seemed to be too expensive based on the quality. It felt comfortable, if not a touch small with a small shirt underneath. I'd probably order that size again if a prettier color became available and it was on a good clearance sale.

The color was nice and it was comfortable but the fit was just odd. The neck opening was too tight and difficult to get on. The body was relaxed and a little too bulky for me. It made me look like I added on some extra pounds. I returned it.

I like this jacket, and mine has held up well for over a year. The thing that irritates me is the front pocket. I don't know WHY it was made with this weird stretch material. I've tried pinning it, sewing it, everything to make it stay inside the jacket when I put my phone or keys or anything inside... It always sags down below the jacket, which looks absurd. So I don't really wear this out of the house, which makes it kind of useless.

I ordered this in the Bright Sapphire color and it was beautiful. The shoulders seemed a bit small. For me that was a plus, but for someone less petite it could have been restricting. However, I returned it because the collar was so stiff and unyielding and the knit was stiff and scratchy. Customer service said I could wash it, but didn't want to risk returning an item they could not resell.

I like everything about this pullover, it's warm, nice color and it fits well. My issue with it is after having it less than a year (and only using it for part of the year as it's too warm for summer), the trim around the wrist started coming off. I've never put this in the dryer so not sure why this is happening. I'm going to exchange it for a new one and see if that one holds up. Not really pleased that I have to spend money to ship something back that fell apart.

I bought three of these and have lived to regret it. The pocket is a constant problem, hanging below the hem of the fleece, so nothing can be carried in them. You can see the bulk of the cotton cloth through the front of the fleece! They should have been made of a finer material and properly tacked. I've given up on llbean.

Love the color, hate the shirt. There is no stretch to this and it is very stiff. I have limited use of my arm/shoulder and almost got stuck in this shirt trying it on and taking it off. I thought it would be softer and more comfortable, arms are very narrow, I am sending it back.

I almost sent this back, but I'm going to wash it a few times, see if it softens up. This is very very stiff fleece, as if it had a wind block in it or something. The collar is too high, scrapping my chin, and won't fold/stay down, plus the sleeves are hard to slide up due to the stiffness of the fabric. But maybe after washing or just wear it in snow?...? I love the color, that's the only reason I am keeping it.

I have had this fleece for almost a year. It is good except for two things. 1. It has started to pill 2. The pocket in the front sags below the bottom of the fleece when I put something as light as a phone.

I bought this fleece almost 2 years ago now, and I loved it at first. I only ever wore it around the house and out and about on errands (never hiking or anything particularly active). It's so warm and comfortable! BUT the trim around the sleeves ripped and was hanging off. Luckily, LL Bean graciously replaced it for me, which I was so happy about. I haven't had the new one very long and only wore it a couple of times and now the trim around the base of the fleece is hanging off just like the sleeves on the one before. I'm hoping I can return this one for a store credit because I've loved everything else I've ever purchased here, but this doesn't live up to the brand quality I know.

Incredibly cozy fleece. Despite other reviews about the odd fit, I did not find this to be the case with me.
The One Big Negative to this item is that due to the knitted nature of the fleece, it pills rather excessively. I have worn it only a handful of times, and yet it is pilling almost everywhere. Disappointing because it makes the item look ratty and defeats the purpose of being a 'more put together fleece'. LL Bean should add a disclaimer on the item about how this happens. Feel like I'm stuck with this now due to Bean's new return policy :(

This pullover just doesn't fit right, both in size and style. I normally wear an L, but it was a bit tight, so I ordered an XL, but that was too big. Moreover, the seam at the shoulder stood up and looked strange, and the petite size version of the collar was set too high upprobably the same as the regular size version.
I worry that in L.L.Bean's attempt to keep prices reasonably the same, they are relying on inexpensive sources for their clothes. The quality just isn't the same as it used to be for a number of items I've had to return to L.L.Bean. I hope that they seek better quality from producers, and we have to realize that the prices will rise too.

I would absolutely love this sweatshirt if it did not have such an odd cut in the shoulders. It feels very tight in the shoulders/back and the sleeves are too short on my arms. Perhaps on someone with smaller shoulders and far shorter arms this would fit better. Otherwise, the fabric is very warm and cozy, just wish the fit wasn't so odd.

I was super excited to receive my sweater fleece. Love love love the color and fits perfect. However, I've had it less than a month and it's already piling on the front and sleeves!! Only washed it twice and hung it on the line to dry. Very disappointed in the quality.

I love everything about this pullover except the collar on all of them that I own (8)have turned a funky pinkish color. It's really annoying. I always wash with like colors and never dry them...always air dry.
I still wear them but it's super annoying when people see my collar where the buttons snap. I would love to buy more but I'm hesitant that the other colors (only a few that I don't own) will turn color as well.

Fabric not soft, poor drape.I was looking for soft, warm, cuddly. Seemed rubbery like a wet-suit.

Apparently, I didn't read carefully. This is not a fleece. It's a weird knit(?), not sweater and not fleece. Hate paying to return items.

My daughter loved this pullover but then we washed and dried it according to instructions and it shrunk. The sleeves are now too short. Very disappointed in the quality.

I ordered smalls because I am between a 6 and an 8. When the sweaters arrived they just barely fit in the arms (I am 5'9"). After awhile I got annoyed enough at the short sleeves that I exchanged them for larges. The larger size is very baggy in the torso now, but at least the sleeves are long enough.

This hoodie is warm and beautiful in the kelp green color, but unfortunately the sewing at the ends of both sleeves in the wrist area is very poor. After just 5 weeks of wear mainly around the house, the stitching and wrist piping are beginning to pull, lose elasticity, and a gaping hole is starting to form on one sleeve. See photos. I will most likely be getting the wrist stitching reinforced by a seamstress, which will add $$ to the $79 price tag.

I ordered this expecting something similar to what i am now wearing..soft fleece.. a product known To me originally as 'chinchilla' back in the 1980's...origins-patagonia i think.
WELL, THIS PRODUCT FEELS NOTHING LIKE THAT TO MY SURPRISE.ALTHOUGH ITS SOFTER ON THE INSIDE, THE SURFACE IS MORE LIKE A CHEAP POLYESTER PRODUCT.
I will unfortunately return it as its not at all what i expected.

I am a big llbean fan. I have most of their quarter zip sweaters and fleece tops. This top looked stylish and well made when I unpacked it. I ordered my usual medium but found it difficult to put on. Once I had it on, the body of it fit well but the collar was way too tall. Even if I folded it down, the back stood up too high. I wanted to like it but I knew it would be irritating to wear. Sadly, I'm returning it tomorrow.

I really wanted to like this. My husband gave me a similar fleece sweater from L.L. Bean 20 years ago and I still wear it, but it needs to be replaced. The reviews on the head opening are correct - one more snap needs to be added for ease of on and off. Also, the length is simply too long. If L.L. Bean would just add a cinch cord for the waist the problem would be solved. Instead it makes one look frumpy because it hits awkwardly on the hip. Sadly, this was returned.
