I LOVE this sweater fleece top! It is warm and comfortable! Gave it 4 stars, because, although it is very classy and less casual looking than regular fleece, the L.L. Bean logo is 'in your face,' and takes the classiness right back down to casual! If not for the logo, it could be worn ANYWHERE. Soooo wish it had a plain front, like the sweater fleece jacket!!

I had been looking at this and the similar Patagonia sweaters for awhile. I just couldn't justify the price of Patagonia and had read where the sizing could be weird. I had gotten the LL Bean Cotton Ragg Sweater for Christmas and LOVED THAT and decided to order the Sea Kelp color. I thought it would be more olive based on picture online. The M fit was perfect for my 5'7", 160# body, slightly fitted but still comfy and not restrictive. Fleecy inside and warm enough for the damp winter here. My husband said he liked the color, it was just more drab than olive. I'm keeping it because I love everything about it and hoping to get the pewter or sailcloth one as well.

I bought this in Gray and love the color. It's warm and stylish. Just for reference, I'm 5'3 130 lbs and based on other reviews I bought the Medium and it fits well with enough room for layering. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the sleeves could be a tad longer. I find this a lot with Beans tops, but it's not really that noticable with this style.

My husband bought the sweater fleece pullover as a Christmas gift for me. I am 5ft 8in, medium build; he purchased the medium regular for me.
Pros: love the color, the thickness of the material, and the overall look.
Cons: arms are not long enough! (this is a consistent problem with purchasing sweaters and tops from L.L. Bean--they make tall and medium-tall pants: WHY not tops for tall women?!?), and I found the pocket in the front very odd (it is one long pocket, extending to both hand openings), which is not what I was expecting from "handwarmer pockets" in the description. The pocket lining also sits oddly from the inside--it hangs out under the bottom hem of the fleece, and I have to constantly tuck it back under the binding of the bottom hem.
Overall, I really like the look and feel of this top, but I'm still debating if I like it enough to keep it. I can tack that annoying pocket lining, I suppose, but the arm length is particularly a big frustration because it limits the warmth and effectiveness of the sweater fleece.

I got this top in the sailcloth in large petite and it fit really well--relaxed and roomy but not huge, sleeves were long enough and it washed well (I hung it to dry and then tossed it in dryer on low for about 3 min). I love it. I then ordered the blue one in the same size and I like it but it seems a lot smaller than my first one and I ordered the same size. The sleeves on the blue are bordering on being too short and it's just not as roomy as the other one. I really like the color so I'll keep it, but I do wish that the sizing was more like my other one. I'll have to really be careful with washing this one too for fear it will shrink even more.

Love this pullover. The only problem with it is the collar is too high. I ordered a petite and the sleeves and length are perfect.

I am 5'8", 225 pounds, on a muscular/athletic frame. I'm not curvy (though I am large breasted).
I normally wear a 1X or 2XL because I have large breasts (38DDD) and broad shoulders. I ordered the XL in this, because the sleeve was 1/8 of an inch larger (32 vs 32 between XL and 1X), but the rest of the measurements seemed to be the same (though now I realize chest measurement range of 43-45 is different than one that reads just 45). In hindsight, I would order the 1X or 2X. The shirt fits and is flattering, but I would have liked a little more room in the shoulders and a tad more sleeve length (even just that 1/8 of inch!).
That being said, the color is really nice and it feels really well-built. I just hope it doesn't shrink in the wash! LOL

Finally, a fleece without 'princess seams' for the mature figure! I love it, but am disappointed in the color selection. Everyone loves to have a nice black fleece when traveling, and it isn't available in petite sizing. Sleeve length, body fit and snapped neck (so much better than buttons!) make it an instant fav. I ordered two more.

I bought this at the outlet. Most of the time I wear a medium or small petite, but I bought this is a regular woman's large. It's definitely bigger around the stomach, but the arms fit tighter. Kind of odd in my opinion. It is so thick and soft, very comfortable. I do wish I had gotten a different size though!

This sweater fleece pullover is just a dream. Unbelievably warm, but with a sweater outer that is just as suitable and appropriate in the office as it is useful on the trail. The Pewter color is beautiful and I love the retro Katahdin logo. I've had a hard time getting the fit right on this one, however. The Misses XS was too baggy, but when I sized down to the XXS, I found it to be a little more snug in the chest than I was comfortable with. I may try a Youth XL and see if that works better ... this pullover is just too great to not have in my closet!

I saw this online and had been looking for a similar pullover. The price was right so I tried it. I ended up trying it on quickly in the store and buying it in a small, which is my normal size, but had to return it because I found the sleeves to be too short. I exchanged it for a medium and the sleeves are a much better length for me, but the mid section is a little more baggy/loose than I would prefer. I kept the medium because I really liked the sweater, it's super warm and comfortable, but would like it better in a smaller size with slightly longer sleeves! For reference, I am 5'6" and 138 lbs. I would definitely still recommend this product.

I was considering a similar item from a different brand, but this was a better price & I got it on sale. It's ok, but the arms are a bit short for me. I also have the Sweater Fleece Jacket, which I prefer over this pullover. I ordered the bright sapphire & I do love the color!

I should have bought this sooner! I've been eyeing it for a year now, and after a slight meltdown two days ago about not having a warm enough sweater, I hopped online and bought this. I paid extra for shipping, and it came a day earlier than expected. The inside fleece is so soft and cozy. The outside feels like it's sturdy enough to withstand outdoor adventures. My only complaint is that the pocket sags a little even when I put my phone in it. That is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars. I will definitely be purchasing one in another color soon.

This is a great fleece to add to your winter wardrobe. It's something you can throw on over a t-shirt or long sleeve to keep you warm on those cold winter days. Great fleece that will last for a long time. True to size.

I could not wait for its arrival but, once on it seems very snug in the shoulders & the arms seem a bit too short. I am debating returning or exchanging for a men's large but worry it won't be flattering.

I live in Portland, OR, where we have had some unusually cold weather this year. The sweater fleece is great! Very warm- sometimes too warm when the weather is normal. The fabric and cut are a little more restricting than regular fleece, but the styling is pleasant, colors are nice. I am 5'8", and 165 lbs. The large fit just fine. That said, I am really missing the comfort fleece! It was less expensive, and a better weight for our climate, was movement-friendly and looked good in casual settings.

I have these sweater fleece products in the jacket, coat, and pullover styles. The pullover style is the most versatile in that (once I removed all of the logos) it can pass to wear to work. I have the pullover in black and pewter because they do not have a contrasting trim (which I think makes it more casual). This item can be (somewhat) dressed up and dressed down, and keeps me warm during the winter.
I would give this 5 stars, but the liberal use of logos (3 of them) is over the top. (I removed them with a seam ripper.)

I bought this in Kelp Green. Love the color. I'm somewhere inbetween a size Small and Medium (usually small) in most LLBean tops. I bought the medium because I read in some of the reviews that it's a little snug, and I'm glad I did. (However, I can wear the sweater fleece vest in a small.) For reference, I'm 5' 126 lb. The pullover is a bit itchy for me when worn next to my skin, but I don't anticipate a problem as long as I wear something between my skin and the pullover, like one of Bean's heat keepers.

I received the dark grey Fleece as a gift. I usually wear a medium, but need a large in this particular style. I gave it 4 stars because the collar doesn't lay flat.

Purchased this item in size large, because LLBean clothes tend to run a little bit bigger than normal - I had to return it because it was too small. The extra large fits, but it is a bit more fitted than the picture shows. Overall, it is nice and warm and I do like it even though the teal color I originally purchased was not available in XL

the item is very warm and comfortable to wear. the color I ordered was blue green and I thought it looked more blue in the picture. I don't generally wear things this green, but I have worn it two times since it got so cold hear and found it very warm.

I love the material, the color, the shape, but I misjudged the sizing when ordering sight unseen. I wanted a reasonably priced alternative to similar Patagonia styles. This fits the bill for the most part. My measurements fall between XS and S per the sizing chart. I went with XS because I wanted a closer fit. The pullover fits great around the hips, waist, and arms; however, the shoulders are too narrow. My shoulders are somewhat broad though. If you are waffling between sizes, I'd size up.

I purchased this sweater about two weeks ago and so far so good. I have washed it once without any issues of shrinkage or loose hems. I gave it four stars because the sizing can be tricky. I actually went to an LLbean store to purchase the sweater. I typically wear a medium but I was having a hard time choosing between the medium and the small. The medium was a little more roomy and the small was more form fitting. I asked for assistance from one of the sales women on the floor. She graciously and kindly helped to determine which size looked best. I ended up purchasing the small. The small is a bit more tight in terms of getting the sweater on and off but not impossible. I am overall pleased with my purchase.

This garment truly has the appearance of a sweater on the outside with the cozy, soft feeling of a fleece on the inside. However, I was surprised by the snug fit as compared to the other LL Bean fleece garments. This garment fits well with a light layer, but I don't now how well it will work once I add an additional base layer this winter. I own MANY options & colors of the comfort fleece garments, and they are all sized to easily allow multiple layers underneath. I work in a construction office that is quite cold during the winter, and I have to wear multiple layers to keep warm. (light base layer, turtleneck or flannel, and fleece) I do really like the big "kangaroo" pocket which I think will help keep my hands warm this winter.
Overall I really like the appearance of the garment, and I may consider trying the full-zip option which may be easier to get on over multiple layers.
