I bought this sweater fleece last year and love how warm it is. The fit is great, but I would love the bottom band to have a bit more stretch to help get it past my shoulders when putting it on/off. Also, PLEASE lose the logo on the front. This piece would be much more versatile without it, as the logo makes for a much more sporty look.

This is one of the warmest fleeces I have owned. I bought some for my friends for Christmas too. The only thing I don't like is the material pilled rather quickly after the first couple of uses. It still does it's job though! I love that the pocket is kinda "hidden" inside the fleece, and not sewn on and sticking out. I wear this everywhere.

Let me say I LOVE this pullover and love how it looks when it's on. It's also very warm, which is great for me because I'm always cold. That said, I wish it was a little bigger, or a little stretchier. All of the tops I have from LL Bean are extra smalls, or smalls that I wish were XS. So obviously I ordered this pullover in XS. It DOES fit, but it is very difficult to get on and off. The neck is very small and doesn't stretch much. I always end up getting makeup on the collar because I can't take it on or off without it touching my face. I struggle taking it off because of the lack of stretch. I love wearing it if I know I will have it on for a while, but for me it's not a good pullover for taking on and off frequently. Would probably be best purchased a size up.

As I said in a previous review, this is a wonderful item and the second one I've purchased. It fits like a sweatshirt, but the sweater material dresses it up so it can be worn on occasions where a sweatshirt would be too casual. I would have given it 5 stars but I HATE the prominent LL Bean logo sewn onto the chest! This takes it back down to 'sweatshirt' status so, unless you have the patience to carefully snip the logo patch off, it limits where it can be worn.
Nevertheless, It feels wonderful on and washes beautifully, with no wrinkles and no pilling, so it was worth it to ME to take the time to slowly remove it, stitch by stitch with a seam ripper!

It's warm, fits well, cozy and extremely versatile and good looking.
My only gripe is the bellows pocket. Either it has too much material or needs to be sewn differently, but if you put your phone or anything mildly heavy into the pocket, the inside droops down below and outside of the elastic waist.
I have several Bean jackets with bellows pockets and this is not a problem. Except for the pocket issue, this is my favorite jacket. Wish I didn't have to bring it up, but.....

I'm a small in patagonia but it looks like ll bean runs a little smaller- it is true that the arms are pretty short. Also, it's a little scratchy but that may come out after a few washes. Still glad I purchased!

I'm 5'11'- I usually wear size 14 in pants, large top, I ordered the XL due to the other reviews in regards to length of the arms and torso. Overall I think the fit is cozy, roomy in the body and pockets, however the length is still almost too short in the arms. I dont think I could size down to a large because of the length of the arms. If you are looking for something cozy and something you could wear layers with, this is still perfect. Kept it because I think it's perfect for camping and hanging outside.

My stats: 30 years old, 5'4", 125-130 lbs. I bought a women's regular size SM in the cream color. I LOVE the color, it's great for wearing with athletic clothes but can also transition to casual, jeans-type outfits. The fabric is very soft and cozy. I love the high neck with the bottons; it's fashionable and practical for the cold months. What I did NOT love was the fit. The regular SM was a bit short in the torso, boxy, and made me look bulky instead of slimming. I ordered online, so I went to an LL Bean store and tried on a reg XS (way too short in torso), petite SM (too short in the arms), and Petite MED (too big in the arms). I ultimately went with the petite SM even though it wasn't the perfect fit. My suggestion would be to make this sweater a little longer in the torso and slightly more fitted.

Good quality fleece. Washes well. My boyfriend saw me wear it and bought the men's one! It is roomy and really warm. The pocket in the front is bulky and not the most flatering on the stomach though.
Would recommend!

I love the heavy duty material for this pullover, it will definitely help keep me warm. The snaps are plastic and seem very cheap so I'm hoping I won't have issues like others have noted in their reviews. A lot of people mentioned the odd fit; I found the fit to be slightly narrower up top and bigger in the bottom, but it works for me. I'm 5'2" and ordered a small and it is slightly baggy on me which I like. Overall, I'm satisfied for now!

I really like this fleece, great color, nice fabric. My one complaint is with the LL Bean emblem on the front. I often wear scarves to dress up a fleece like this and the emblem patch is not appreciated. I carefully removed the patch, but was worried that I would damage the fleece. Don't put "advertising" this prominently positioned on your merchandise.

I love this pullover. They got beautiful colors and this keeps me warm on a cold day without the bulk of a heavy coat. I'm 5,3" and 110lbs so I got the xsmall in petites. It was a bit too snug on me with a t shirt and the sleeves could be a lil longer. So if you're wearing a thin t shirt, it's best you go a size up. Other than that it's a very comfortable soft warm pullover.

This must be meant to be more of an outer layer. It is very warm, but too bulky for layering.

I purchased three different colors of this sweater, and with our cold winter temps this year they have been great. I usually am a 4-6 but I ordered a medium and it fits well. I have the checked and plain colored and they are durable. Only drawback is that on the checked one the pocket hangs down when I have a cell phone in it. LL bean logo makes it look classy to me.

I went to college in New England and always envied everyone their warm and versatile LLBean fleece pullovers. Fast forward 20-plus years and although this isn't the fluffy, fuzzy fleece I remember, it's the same easy cool weather warmer and just as quick to throw on with a pair of jeans. The knit is a smooth sweater knit and the cuffs are reinforced, which I like. Good piece to have in your coat closet!

I LOVE this sweater fleece top! It is warm and comfortable! Gave it 4 stars, because, although it is very classy and less casual looking than regular fleece, the L.L. Bean logo is 'in your face,' and takes the classiness right back down to casual! If not for the logo, it could be worn ANYWHERE. Soooo wish it had a plain front, like the sweater fleece jacket!!

I had been looking at this and the similar Patagonia sweaters for awhile. I just couldn't justify the price of Patagonia and had read where the sizing could be weird. I had gotten the LL Bean Cotton Ragg Sweater for Christmas and LOVED THAT and decided to order the Sea Kelp color. I thought it would be more olive based on picture online. The M fit was perfect for my 5'7", 160# body, slightly fitted but still comfy and not restrictive. Fleecy inside and warm enough for the damp winter here. My husband said he liked the color, it was just more drab than olive. I'm keeping it because I love everything about it and hoping to get the pewter or sailcloth one as well.

I bought this in Gray and love the color. It's warm and stylish. Just for reference, I'm 5'3 130 lbs and based on other reviews I bought the Medium and it fits well with enough room for layering. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the sleeves could be a tad longer. I find this a lot with Beans tops, but it's not really that noticable with this style.

My husband bought the sweater fleece pullover as a Christmas gift for me. I am 5ft 8in, medium build; he purchased the medium regular for me.
Pros: love the color, the thickness of the material, and the overall look.
Cons: arms are not long enough! (this is a consistent problem with purchasing sweaters and tops from L.L. Bean--they make tall and medium-tall pants: WHY not tops for tall women?!?), and I found the pocket in the front very odd (it is one long pocket, extending to both hand openings), which is not what I was expecting from "handwarmer pockets" in the description. The pocket lining also sits oddly from the inside--it hangs out under the bottom hem of the fleece, and I have to constantly tuck it back under the binding of the bottom hem.
Overall, I really like the look and feel of this top, but I'm still debating if I like it enough to keep it. I can tack that annoying pocket lining, I suppose, but the arm length is particularly a big frustration because it limits the warmth and effectiveness of the sweater fleece.

I got this top in the sailcloth in large petite and it fit really well--relaxed and roomy but not huge, sleeves were long enough and it washed well (I hung it to dry and then tossed it in dryer on low for about 3 min). I love it. I then ordered the blue one in the same size and I like it but it seems a lot smaller than my first one and I ordered the same size. The sleeves on the blue are bordering on being too short and it's just not as roomy as the other one. I really like the color so I'll keep it, but I do wish that the sizing was more like my other one. I'll have to really be careful with washing this one too for fear it will shrink even more.

Love this pullover. The only problem with it is the collar is too high. I ordered a petite and the sleeves and length are perfect.

I am 5'8", 225 pounds, on a muscular/athletic frame. I'm not curvy (though I am large breasted).
I normally wear a 1X or 2XL because I have large breasts (38DDD) and broad shoulders. I ordered the XL in this, because the sleeve was 1/8 of an inch larger (32 vs 32 between XL and 1X), but the rest of the measurements seemed to be the same (though now I realize chest measurement range of 43-45 is different than one that reads just 45). In hindsight, I would order the 1X or 2X. The shirt fits and is flattering, but I would have liked a little more room in the shoulders and a tad more sleeve length (even just that 1/8 of inch!).
That being said, the color is really nice and it feels really well-built. I just hope it doesn't shrink in the wash! LOL

Finally, a fleece without 'princess seams' for the mature figure! I love it, but am disappointed in the color selection. Everyone loves to have a nice black fleece when traveling, and it isn't available in petite sizing. Sleeve length, body fit and snapped neck (so much better than buttons!) make it an instant fav. I ordered two more.

I bought this at the outlet. Most of the time I wear a medium or small petite, but I bought this is a regular woman's large. It's definitely bigger around the stomach, but the arms fit tighter. Kind of odd in my opinion. It is so thick and soft, very comfortable. I do wish I had gotten a different size though!
