This pullover used to have two pockets. Now it has one - sometimes called a "kangaroo pouch" pocket. I returned it because of this design. Everything in your pocket goes to the center. If you lean over something, you may crush whatever is in the pocket. Also, you can't follow a routine of organizing things in your pockets - reading glasses right, sun glasses left, phone right, right glove right, etc. Everything is mixed together. I find it annoying. I was disappointed in the change because I really like the aging one I have. I was hoping fall 2018 might bring a change - nope.

Before ordering the fleece sweater I read another review about the front pocket hanging out and decided to order anyway. Wrong decision. It looks ridiculous so it was returned. Please think of a solution to this problem. Other than that the item is very nice.

I think this is the first Bean product that I have not liked. In 2 months the pilling is amazing. The collar curls up and the snaps are a pain to use. A zipper would have been much better. There is an internal bag that connects the two pockets. If you put anything into the bag, it sags below the hemline so you look like you have a grey growth protruding from under the sweater.

First off, this fleece fits great and is very comfortable. It looks great too. Unfortunately the stitching around the cuffs is cheap and light. After a couple wearings and one wash, the piping around the cuffs is beginning to break loose. At this price point I was expecting a much more durable product. I wanted this to be a go-to fleece for around the house, but at this rate it will only last for a couple months before it needs replacing.

Positives: Heavyweight fleece. Nice design. Well constructed. Negatives: This is advertised as slightly fitted but doesn't even come close to being so. This thing is designed to accommodate a full-on American spare tire. When I put the fleece on it hangs on me like a bell or a lampshade. If your waist is narrower than your shoulders then look elsewhere. This is not for you.

Overall, the sweater is warm, roomy, and handsome. The issues with the pocket can be explained by recognizing the pocket is not made of the same material as the rest of the sweater - it is made of the thin liner fleece. This lack of structure causes the pocket to sag when a weighty item is placed within the void. I don't really care about this as it keeps my hands warm due to its roominess. What really bothers me is the construction of the trim. The stitching around the cuffs, waist, and neck lacks any durable stitching. I have had mine for less than a year and the cuffs have already come unstitched. Note, there is ONLY ONE line of stitching around the cuffs - what were you thinking Llbean?!? You could have done so much better by nixing the cuff material and doubling over the sleeve material to make a sturdier cuff. Or, you could have added the thin liner material overtop of that doubled over sleeve to make it aesthetically pleasing. I have two compatible Patagonia products, which I have had for 2-3 years longer, that have not degraded at the sleeves (not even with heavy use) This is not the quality I have come to expect from Llbean.

.... but the overall length is about 1.5-2" too short. I am 5'10" - a regular large and it just did not look right. MORE IMPORTANTLY there is an other design flaw that prompted me to return the item: the pocket fabric hangs below the outside fabric - even when there is nothing in the pockets. So two design errors in one item, the Product Manager must re-evaluate design and specs to make this the winner that it could be

It would be good if the item was offered in a "traditional" cut, vs. the slightly fitted. (The large was too too large, and the medium is slightly tight.) Interestingly, it seems that LLBean has applied the 'slightly fitted' concept to the sleeves. They are a bit tight, and my arms are not big.

Nice looking pull over with soft fabric, however it's too short. Needs another 5 inches of length. I'm 6'7" and ordered a large tall and it wasn't enough. Usually llbean clothes fit me like they're tailored, but not this time. Had to return it.

I truly wanted this to be "the one" but it was not meant to be. I had hoped, that in the absence of a tall option, that the sweater would have a little extra length but it did not. The sleeves fell above my watch and the waist above my hips. The body was also a bit boxy. Fiit aside, this is a quality piece and I would not dissuade one from purchasing it, as long as they do not need a tall.

My husband wears mediums in most clothes. This sweater had sleeves which fit nicely but the opening for the head was difficult to use, seemed small. The body was extremely snug. I suppose it might have been fine if no shirt was worn under it, but over a shirt, it was too tight and will be returned.

I took the label off as I do not want to be a walking advertisement. The area underneath is much lighter color than the rest of the sweater.

The sweater is cut poorly. Bad pointy shoulders, sleeves too long, waist too much material.

The product is nice, but the sizing is off. I generally wear XL, but the shoulders and sleeves length is much too big. I kept the XL for now and ordered the L size which is snug, but can be used as a sweater. Decision as to return both due to poor sizing or keep both using the XL over a sweater and the L as a sweater

I ordered about a half-dozen items from you and in almost every case what you delivered was not what i ordered. In the future I'll shop somewhere else.

This is a beautiful, warm sweater. Problem is in the large pocket which is accessible from either side. It sags down below the hem at the bottom of the shirt, making it not wearable. This started the second time I wore it.

So I love LLBean and have been a long time customer. I think the brand is a high quality value. However, the fits are highly variable. I have heaps of medium tall clothes from LLBean and they all fit the same with the exception of this. This is way too big. Doesn't seem fitted in the slightest. Super disappointed..love the fabric and color; would pick a competitor's "superior sweater" if they had it in a similar color.

The inside pocket pouch hangs out in front almost 2 inches below sweater hem. This is with out anything in the pocket. Looks terrible, feels awkward and is annoying. I am returning it.

In spite of being washed in cold water, gentle, air dried this product shrunk ALOT. Not what I expected from an LL Bean product

I'm re-submitting this review, since the first time around my photos did not upload properly... This is a follow-on to my earlier review of this product on March 13, 2022... After the first one of these had the trim fall off (on both sleeves), I went out on a limb and purchased another. Well, here it is less than 6 months later -- and the same thing is happening. See attached photos. I don't know if the trim material is defective, or if the stitching was done wrong -- but whatever the reason, the result is something that just does not last! It appears that the trim material is falling apart, and the stitching has come undone. It's too bad -- because I love the fleece material and especially the colors (I've had both the red and the blue). And even worse, I've always come to LL Bean for my fleece -- I've probably bought at least 10 or 12 over the years, and these are the first that I've had any problems with.
