I spoke to customer service before ordering this item since there are multiple reviews stating the sleeves are to long. I was told that is done on purpose to make sure the arms remain covered when reaching for something. I am ordering the X Large sweater and I was told the sleeve lenght is 37.5 " which will be long on me.

Nice looking. Roomy enough to not be confining. Got it in the blue, which is a nice shade. Unfortunately, the sizing of the sleeves is out of whack. I am a Regular XL and normally wear a 34/35 sleeve. On this sweatshirt the sleeves go well below my wrist. About a third of the way down my hands. I would think that a 37/38 sleeve length would be the Long version. I own a similar sweatshirt from Patagonia where the elastic at the bottom of the sleeves is a little more effective. On this shirt the hem of the sleeve narrows the cuff a bit, but it has no real benefit to keeping the sleeves up. The overall effect is like wearing your older brother's sweatshirt when you were a kid.

Purchased this and the vest model at the same time. Both items were size large, which is my consistent size in LL Bean clothing. Vest fit great but the sleeves of the pullover were way too long. Came down to the second joint of my fingers, and I wear a 34 to 35 inch sleeve in dress shirts. I can't recommend this pullover unless you want to throw away $6.50 to return it like I did.

This is the most comfortable pullover I own. I was excited when I pulled it out of the bag and felt how soft it was when I put it on. When wearing it out though, I noticed that the collar always seemed awkward. If you wear it up, it looks a bit too tall, as opposed to other brands that use shorter collars. If you wear it down, it awkwardly rolls back and doesn't look right. Would definitely like to see this issue fixed on future iterations of this product. Until then, I would recommend other brands that may be slightly less soft on the inside, but have a better cut.

I love this warm sweater - the old one though. They've changed the cuff to where it's so big it always slips over your hands. Very annoying.

I usually wear a Medium (dress shirts 16/33) and am 6' tall, weight 155, waist 32. This was nice fabric and fit nicely across the shoulders, the waist was loose. It was OK in the waist but would have been better if the trim gathered it a bit more so it wouldn't let air in or if it had a draw string/cord - which it doesn't. I'm returning it because the sleeves are a good 2 inches too long.

We have 6 of these (2men 2woman 2kids). They are great but stay away from the men's black one. It is piling and just not as good as the other ones we have.

Nicely constructed, and the Medium fits my 5' 8" 150-pound body perfectly. The Dark Olive looks great. BUT, the fabric is very rough, it doesn't feel at all fleece-y, and since I buy garments like this for comfort, I sent it back. For all I know it may break in wonderfully, but I wanted it softer from Day One.

Very comfortable, great color, but L would have liked a zipper in place of the snaps which I thought was on the the garment.

I had to return the large sweater as it was very tight. Reordered an extra large which was plenty big but it gathered between my shoulders and chest couldn't get that huge bulge out. It's not a good fit. Quality very good,fleece nice and heavy dash wish it fit better. Had to return the extra large as well.

Love the fit but the pouch is too loose and shows under the front.

Droopy pocket liner, sleeves too long and bottom of sleeve cuff way too wide sizing not consistent , not even close to the same one I purchased 2 years ago. I had to alter bottom of sleeve so it would fall right. I am a standard 34 sleeve not a 38

Nice fleece, but the pocket line drooped below the waist and it look like my underwear was hanging out.

The bottom of the pullover is too wide. Have to return.

Generally very good quality. I was surprised to find that the two pockets are connected, forming a single kangaroo-style pocket. If you put so much as a handkerchief in there, it will look like you are pregnant. Also, there is no bottom seam closure, and wide cut so as to be potentially drafty. It's only fitted if you are rotund.

At these prices I have a certain expectation for quality and after 6 months of light use the cuffs started wearing and started getting that fuzzy, outer material breaking down effect. The fit is a bit strange also, it's great if you're short and a have a belly but for me being on the slimmer side it sort of curls up a bit and just doesn't look good.

This runs very big. My boyfriend is an XL in almost all shirts and sweaters, but this was humongous. Definitely try on before you buy.

Nice shirt but plastic buttons came off after first cleaning.

I like the color (a lot), and the material is nice -- but the stitching on the sleeve fell apart after very little use. A big disappointment.

Doesnt look or feel like typical fleece. Picts from website not a good representation. Bought a large, seems to be trim fit which isn't mentioned in description. This is my biggest complaint of many clothes today..I assume they save lots of $$$ on cutting back on a fraction of a yd of fabric. Today's large is yesterday's mediumnot good for activewear. Sleeves too long especially since they don't have elastic bands

Only fair, I was looking to replace a similar LL Bean's sweater that was a favorite of mine. The item that I purchased did not measure up to what I expected. I think the item was over priced and particularly don't care for the lack off cuffs on the sleeves.

The slim fit of this pullover is perfect and both the warmth and softness of it make it perfect for cool weather. It does, however, pull extremely easily. I have to use my fabric shaver on it at least once a month to keep it from looking like trash. In addition, if you put anything with a little weight, car keys, wallet, phone, in the pouch the interior lining will sag lower than the hem, which is very annoying.

Outrageously priced thin material with cheap plastic snaps, v-neck material does not lay flat

Love the fleece on my grandson but it is too big. Need exchange for size
