I'm a Beans lifer, and have come to export excellence and durability from their clothes. I'm very disappointed in these flannel shirts. I got a few of them somewhat recently (within the last couple of years I think) and ALL of them now have holes in the elbows.

Way too big and long even though it was the recommended fit.

Sleeves are about 1" too long. I am 6'1", 240 lbs and a bit heavy in the middle. My sleeve length is 34/35, depending on shirt maker. I need theXL size but the sleeves dre too long.

Collar button down holes are too big, the buttons keep coming out of the holes so the collar ends up being unbuttoned.

Inconsistent sizing is making me crazy. Sleeve length on medium doesn't cover my wrist. Large sleeve length drops down to my thumb. A difference of 3 or 4 inches. The canvas shirts seem to be fine, but the Flannel Shirt is awful.

Very itchy and lots of shrinkage. It is a very warm fabric and has vibrant color.

I purchased this shirt for myself about 5 weeks ago, and have worn and washed it twice. Let me say that I had been a regular Bean customer for about 40 years, buying many clothes and fly fishing items. I stopped ordering from Bean about 3 years ago due to catalog issues (items or colors listed in the catalog not available), backorders, and quality issues. I used to love Bean flannel shirts and decided to try again. Problems still. As my wife described it, the flannel material frayed, causing a fair amount of the stitching to come loose in the left shoulder. After the second wearing. This would not have happened with the LL Bean of old, but seems to still be a problem after a 3 year absence on my part. Disappointing to say the least. I have again removed Bean from my "shopping bookmarks" list. I take no pleasure in leaving bad reviews, but feel I own it to other shoppers.

Nice fabric and colors, but the dimensions were really off. Been wearing large for many years. This one was incredibly long, yet sleeves were relatively short. Fit in shoulder, but on the wide side in the torso. Hope next year's version is better.

As another reviewer said, the grey Stewart fabric on this shirt ordered 11/2020 looks like a rumpled mess after washing and drying. Other patterns can be worn right out of the dryer, but this one requires ironing and quickly reverts to frumpy when worn.

My husband loved this shirt and the first time he wore it, I discovered the fabric on the back yoke had not caught in the seam. What a disappointment. Is there no quality control these days? Now I have to pay return shipping to return it, and they no longer have the color we bought. Cut up my LLBean card, and no more purchases. $50 for a poorly made shirt makes me NOT a happy customer.

Nice but too expensive shirt. I didn't realize it was 100% cotton when I bought it. I wouldn't pay this much for a shirt I have to iron and have to watch for shrinkage because of 100% cotton.

I have purchased probably around 100 LL Bean products in the last 30 years. This is the first product I have been disappointed in. This year's Scotch Plaid Flannel shirt pills badly. I purchased 3 and I have to wash them separately to keep them from getting my other clothes all fuzzy in the dryer. I have over a dozen other LL Bean flannel shirts from past years. They NEVER pilled. This year's fabric is different than past years. Colors are good, fit is same as always, cloth quality way below LL Bean standards.

Longtime customer. Have purchased many flannel shirts in past years. Several purchased in 2021 very disappointing. Great during initial use but not the same after recommended washing. Good deal of shrinkage and fabric lost original softness. Must be new vendor.

Odd Shirt - Very Long, as if it is supposed to be tucked in. Really awkward fir if worn untucked, but it's a flannel. I mean, do people tuck those in?

So most of Bean's clothes run big. I always buy small regular shirts because a medium size is always too big. This one was an acceptable fit until it was washed it. It shrank a full size. If you order this order the next size up. I will be returning this item and going for the next size up.

Agree w some other reviewers -- nice shirt but my Medium arrived today and is 'way too large -- especially sleeve length. Might try washing and see if it will shrink but likely not enough to matter. It's likely going back.

the shirt is great , as are all your products. However, it is way too large for a size medium. Can I get a refund?

Bought the same shirt last year, so wanted another one. It's not like last years. This one's collar is mushy and scrunched like any other flannel I could get for much less $

Shirt quality is good but runs too large. I normally buy larges in shirts from Bean's and they fit well. This is entirely too big and too long, if you intend to wear untucked.

Forced to return this shirt since the sleeves are a good two inches longer than any other LLBean shirt I own. Otherwise, it is really nice and I wish I could keep it.
