First flannel shirt in 20 years. Decent quality but lacks the body of flannel shirts of bygone years, but softer to the touch. The fit runs somewhat larger than anticipated. Additional color choices would be nice. Overall, I feel that afer a couple of washings and dryings it will prove to be a good choice. It is priced $10 too high.

....the collar buttons down. My husband hates button-down collars and he won't wear them. Would you please give us Scotch Plaid Flannel Shirts without buttons on the tips of the collars. Today I bought him a three-season chamois shirt instead. Not as pretty, but at least the collar doesn't button down and he will wear it. Bean used to sell these shirts without the buttons, so I know you can do it.

Bought this as a gift for someone. It fit the person good and they were pleased with it.

Have been purchasing these shirts for my husband for quite some time. They are ideal for layering over a long-sleeved LL Bean T-shirt and often take the place of a jacket in our milder winters. The quality of the flannel is good, and the relaxed fit makes the shirt comfortable.

I received the Grey Stewart flannel shirt as ordered. Shipping was on time and well packaged. I was expecting a little heavier material in this shirt. It is very true to the size chart and the colors are beautiful. Just not a heavy as I thought it would be.

The LL Bean Scotch Plaid flannel shirt is comfortable and warm, and has a soft feel. I am buying after many years, and the fit of the sizes for me is still a bit uncertain, so be careful about this.

This is a good buy. It is heavy enough without being overly heavy. The quality of the construction is very nice too.

Soft fabric, not heavy. I am tough to fit; short but 39" chest. This (medium, traditional fit) shirt feels comfortable over an undershirt or t-shirt and does not bind under my arms or across my back/chest. Works better for me than Bean (medium, traditional fit) chamois shirts that were just too tight.

Only fault seems to be that for a Medium size shirt, the sleeves are a little on the long side. Hope that will correct itself with a couple of washings.

My husband loves these shirts except for the sleeve length - he always tries to shrink them.

Shirt looked great, but I should have ordered a Medium instead of a Large. Will be returned for smaller size.

My son loves this shirt. And once I figured out his size it was a great fit.

My favorite flannel shirt is the LLBean
"Wicked Good" flannel. These are thinner and I wear them to do things around the house when I don't want to risk tearing or staining one of my Wicked Good shirts.

We loved church but it was just too big. The XL was much bigger than other XLs. LL bean was great about finding a large at a store when it was not available online. And handling the return of the original shirt.

This was a gift for my husband. It is excellent quality, but runs quite large. He is 5'10 and normally wears an XL. I originally ordered a regular fit XL, but it was enormous on him. It was way too wide and the sleeves were very long on him. It was returned and a large was ordered. The large regular fit was also pretty big. We ended up having to get the slightly fitted large. This looks nice untucked or tucked in and now he isn't swimming in it.

Love the colors. Flannel could be a little thicker. Have bought several of these shirts over the years for my husband, always in XL. This shirt was very wide and too big. Had to return for a L.

We have not been disappointed when purchasing LLBean men's shirts. The shirts we have purchased in the past have lasted for years...and I mean years... and have been washed numerous times. This shirt seems to be of good quality and we expect it to wash and wear as well as previous shirts. We recommend LLBean shirts because of the lasting wear and we expect the same here.

I have purchased several (5+) LLBean flannel shirts for my husband (and three more for this Christmas.) They look great on and launder well. The plaids are wonderful! They do show wear after numerous launderings and lose body and nap, but still good purchase. (We would love them even more if they were slightly heavier weight.) Thank you LLBean for making talls!

I was a bit disappointed after washing because the button placket folded over as did the ham and the pocket. The whole shirt was a little wrinkly. But as I said the colors were great and so was the texture.

I think the shirt quality, color, and material are awesome. However the sleeve length is four inches too long. I also recently ordered some courdory shirts and they fit just fine.

Good, very soft flannel shirt that is warm when active. I also have a Filson Wool shirt that I wear. This is much more comfortable to the skin, and warm for non-super sweat activities and light rain. Good evening out shirt, good hiking and camp shirt in the snow. I normally switch to all wool when sleeping as I don't wear any poly stuff anymore - back to wool for all snow activities. Best use outdoors is this works great with a light wool sweater next to the skin and this on the outside - keeps me very warm and at the wool takes up the sweat. Works well with wet muggy rain 5 months of the year.

This shirt and the chamois are legends and with good reason. The wear well and are so comfortable. I have several in a selection of colors. The shirt is warm and light enough to wear in a warm indoor room. If you want something a bit heavier, go with the chamois. I have both styles and choose which to wear based on mood, activity, and temperature. They all wash and hold up well.
