Good, very soft flannel shirt that is warm when active. I also have a Filson Wool shirt that I wear. This is much more comfortable to the skin, and warm for non-super sweat activities and light rain. Good evening out shirt, good hiking and camp shirt in the snow. I normally switch to all wool when sleeping as I don't wear any poly stuff anymore - back to wool for all snow activities. Best use outdoors is this works great with a light wool sweater next to the skin and this on the outside - keeps me very warm and at the wool takes up the sweat. Works well with wet muggy rain 5 months of the year.

This shirt and the chamois are legends and with good reason. The wear well and are so comfortable. I have several in a selection of colors. The shirt is warm and light enough to wear in a warm indoor room. If you want something a bit heavier, go with the chamois. I have both styles and choose which to wear based on mood, activity, and temperature. They all wash and hold up well.

Really like the shirt. I like it so much that I bought another one. The one negative about these shirts is that I have to have the sleeves altered. This increases the cost of the shirt by $16.00 per shirt.

I buy a couple of these flannel shirts each fall. I believe the sleeves are longer by at least an inch or more than the ones I bought previously. Maybe they will shrink. So check that measurement before you buy.

I love these shirts, I own multiples and they feel great, but comparing to my old Canadian made flannel from LLBean, its just not the same quality. Wish they would return to making them in the Americas.

Although wonderful fabric, returned as regular sleeve length more suitable for an EXTRA TALL.

It came out beautiful from its first wash, but everything washed with it was covered with lint!

Traditional fit (M). Sleeve size would be 35-36. Sleeve long for a 32-33 person. M size slightly large for a 38-40 chest person. Slim fit (if available) would better fit a 39 inch chest person.

Soft and nice colors. The fit is a bit too ample on my not particularly svelte husband, but very cosey.

The material is good. The Traditional Fit Houndstooth for quality is better. I ordered the medium for my son who is normally a large and the fit was perfect. However the Graham Mentieth certainly is not a bright and colorful as the picture. It almost looks more like the
Black Watch, then a bright green. Very disappointed, this gift had to go back.

I love this shirt with reservation. The quality of the flannel is extraordinary and the shirt is well styled. It's really the perfect flannel shirt. Unfortunately, it's a little oversized. It's fine for throwing over a henley or t-shirt and knocking about the house so I haven't bothered to exchange it. It did shrink down a wee bit the way a good flannel shirt should over time so it's well broken in now and I love it, but next time I'll go for a size smaller or a different cut so I can wear it in public.

I really like the fit and feel of the shirt. My only complaint is that in the picture the shirt appears to be green with heavy blue and black plaid. However my shirt has no blue whatsoever. With that being said, the color of the shirt is called "black watch." Personally, I believe the shirt in the picture is more attractive than the one that I received, which almost looks like a buffalo plaid shirt.

Love this shirt but I wish that this category had a button on the placket which is located near the shirt sleeve cuff.

The Lord of the Isles color is a MUCH brighter green in person than represented on the website (yes, my monitor was adjusted prior to ordering) but it is still a nice shirt so I won't return it, but be warned it is a much brighter green color than the nice darker shade on the website.

I was expecting a heavier weight flannel in this shirt.....I live in Florida however when the temps get in the 40's and 50's in the winter I much prefer to wear a heavy shirt over my normal clothes when I'm outside..... this shirt won't cut it.....AND it has a funky button down collar.....I guess I didn't read enough reviews when I ordered it. However, I love the quality and fit, so I will be sending it back for a heavier weight material.

My husband loves these shirts but I had to quit buying them for him because they don't have two chest pockets. With his pace-maker he keeps glasses, and pens in one pocket and his phone in the other.

Can be a five star IF they get rid of the button down collar. My oldest shirt has/had NO buttons, it is the most comfortable one of the three I own. Don't button the collar and it looks weird. Oh well.

Pros--
Very nice flannel fabric: soft, warm, non-pilling, non-fading, hard wearing, and durable.
Cons--
Collar is undersized--looks skimpy--and new "fit" tag at the back of the neck (not pictured in photos) is a bit of an irritant against the skin.

Fit is good after washing, minimal wrinkles if hung up up promptly.
I had to manually cut out the stitching and remove the sown label 'Traditional Fit' on the neckband, because it became uncomfortable after wearing. It never softened up.
Overall a good product, with one annoying design problem.

I normally wear an XL in oxfords. I had to return the XL for a LG because it is not an exaggeration to say that this shirt is *massive*.
One thing to consider is that it is flannel and will likely shrink over time.
The tartans on these shirts are genuine and beautiful. The lost star is for not being American made.

This was for my tall and skinny son. It was nice to fine someone who made tall medium sized shirts. He likes his shirts fitted and not flabby and so do I so I don't have to keep sewing them in.

Good quality, really nice feel, deep true colors on the Black Watch. Generous cut. I'm 5'9" 200 lbs and the XL traditional cut is a tad too full for me. So I use it either as a primary shirt or as a cover shirt in place of a sweater or sweatshirt.
