Well made shirt but it fits large. I bought a medium, I could have worn a small.

The flannel is a nice thickness, the pattern is attractive and it fits well.

I ordered a medium, which I normally wear when ordering from L.L. Bean. This shirt swallowed me, both in the shoulders and arms length. I'm ordering a small and returning this one.

Bought the Black Watch Flannel. Always wanted this particular Scotch Plaid. The look is great and the fit is true to size. It's soft to the touch and roomy without the baggy look. It seemed warm, but it seems like it's a lighter material ? My Bean Chamois Shirts seem to be heavier. However, probably my fault , but I prefer 2 flap pockets on a flannel shirt. Secondly, after I read some reviews I became nervous as what to expect when I wash this shirt? Reason for my Title.

This shirt is warm and comfortable. Unfortunately I'm very dissapointed the plaid lines don't line up making it look like a cheap shirt. I wouldn't have opened it and worn it had I noticed it. I like to look well dressed, but this shirt won't be worn if I'm going anywhere special.

Great shirt, outstanding quality, great fit, launders perfect, no ironing required. I have bought several of these, and Bean hasn't changed anything yet. They fit me great, and I am a difficult fit.

purchased in store, brought home, found out sleeves were two inches too long. Had to return to store and replace with proper shirt,L/tall but correct sleeve length. First time I had a Bean product not fit correctly!

Though I wish this amd more other garments that bear the reliable LLBean Logo were manufactured here in the good old USA (they cost as much as new companies that do), it is a classy, comfortable, casual winter wear shirt that fits well and is (hopefully) built to last.

I bought this shirt after returning the chamois one that didn't look or fit well for my husband. This shirt was really nice looking, material was soft yet strong and it fit him perfectly at a XL3. I may be another one for him next year for a gift.

These Scotch Plaid flannel shirts are made of great soft flannel. I usually wear a regular large so that's what I ordered. They fit well everywhere except the sleeves are a little too long. When I compared the sleeves length to my other large shirts, they are a inch longer than the others. I hope they'll shrink a little.

Have bought several of these great shirts in different colors. My favorite of all the plaid colors is the "Princess Mary" green color. Bought one a few years ago, then you discontinued it. Of all my shirts it was my favorite. Have hoped every year since you would bring it back. See you brought it back for the ladies ... what about the men?

I have bought an LLBean flannel shirt for my husband for Christmas for over 35 years. This was the first time that it had to be ironed before being worn. It was a mass of wrinkles, not the usual LLbean shirt experience. It did iron nicely and looks fine now.

My husband looks very handsome in his new flannel shirt, however it does run a little large.

Pretty shirt, wondered if anything would be left after laundering the first time. The dryer vent needed to be cleaned every 10 minutes!! 2 of these shirts in with blue jeans.............

This is one of my favorite shirts: comfortable, fits well, looks great. So why the 4 stars? For whatever reason they used two small white pieces of fabric to secure the buttons used for the collar. They stick out like a sore thumb on a dark green shirt. I've had numerous people tell me that I have two stickers on the inside of my shirt, which they're not... just poorly placed pieces of fabric. They could/should have used something dark to blend in with the shirt. Rather frustrating.

While my husband loved the feel, thickness, and colors of these shirts, the XL was huge on him and that's what he usually wears. However, the exchange process is simple and already in the mail. LL Bean provided a free return shipping label so that was perfect! Love this company!!! My only complaint is the shirt seemed too big.

These flannel shirts are a good value. I have owned better ones but at twice the price . . . and a lot of premium brands including Brooks Brothers no longer sell flannel shirts. The only complaint I have is that the shirt tails could be an inch or 2 longer if you want to tuck them in. I have worked in the apparel business for about 13 years and cannot understand why many brands insist on saving a few pennies an item at the risk of losing customers. A couple pennies don't really matter to most consumers. Quality, fit and service are what matters.

I buy these every year, but with lack of newer designs or returning to some great older patterns, I buy fewer. A excellent flannel shirts in any case.

I love the vibrant colors and the feel of these flannel shirts. But they seem a bit too large, and the sleeves are a bit too long. I hope that they shrink over time.

This is a well tailored shirt. I'm stocky so shirts tend to have sleeves that are too long and too tight in the torso. However, the traditional fit works well for me. The pattern (Dress Gordon) looks just like the website/catalogue. There was not too much shrinkage. I might get another in a different pattern. Some have complained that the flannel is thinner than other years but I live in New Orleans and it doesn't get very cold so this works well as a cold weather shirt. At worst, I can add a t shirt and a light jacket for our coldest days.

My husband has three of these shirts, two are a few years old. He loves them all but the sleeve length on the new one is almost a cuff's width longer than the others. I ordered a second one to see if the length was better, but it was exactly the same. His usual shirt size is Large with 33-34 sleeve, so the sleeve length on this shirt must be 35-36. I guess maybe the manufacturer changed their specs. My husband likes the shirt, so he folds the cuffs back and happily wears it.

I love the fabric, the pattern and the styling. I am overweight and had to take a larger size, but otherwise it is virtually an ideal shitt
