The colors were strong and the fabric much heavier than I expected. A very nice shirt.

Beautiful fabric,soft and warm. clear vivid plaid in classic tartan. Only problem is they are no longer made in womens sizes. I actually bought a mans shirt and had the sleeves shortened!

My husband loves these shirts-toasty warm, fits him well-easy to wear for him. I like that it goes through the laundry and I don't have to iron it-NICE!

There is nothing like a flannel shirt and there are none better than a Bean flannel . It's soft ,warm and fits absolutely perfect ..not to tight not too loose..Perfect.

Great shirt! Can always trust the Portuguese flannels not to shrink and to look good for a long time. I have purchased these before and they continue to be an excellent choice for fall and winter wear. Highly recommend it.

Great shirt, warm and soft but order down. Got an XL so I could wear it over a light sweater but I could put 2 of me in it. Sent it back for a L and it fits just right.

A great shirt was made even better this season with the availability of this shirt in a Gordon plaid (one of several traditional tartans). The shirt that I bought last year doesn't show the impact of multiple wearings and washings (though I only wash in cold, and I line dry). The Portuguese flannel fabric is sufficiently heavy to not wrinkle - though that does relegate it to cool weather wearing - but without the scratchiness of the LL Bean wrinkle-resistant fabrics. (I tried to replace my lightweight cotton LL Bean Gordon plaid shirt which is fraying at the cuffs after over a decade of regular wear, but found that the wrinkle-resistant fabric of the current edition irritates my skin.) The only downsides to this shirt are that it's a cat hair magnet, and it's not available in women's sizes. I wear a woman's size 10 / M, and I have a large rib cage and broad shoulders so this shirt in a S is not too bad a fit: a little long in the sleeves, and a little loose at the waist.

These shirts are extremely comfortable. They wash well and hold their colors. My wife gave me one for Christmas last year, and I couldn't find my tall size in stock after that. So, this year I purchased two more as soon as summer was over. Plus, my wife bought a couple of the women's flannel shirts. Their great.

I bought this same shirt from you guys back in the late 70's - can't believe it has taken me this long to redux. Wonderful fabric, no shrink and I love the color. Perfect for those cool fall days when casual is the mode and wood smoke is in the air.

love the scottish flannel and so does my son. would like more selection of scottish tartans.

It is nice to get a soft flannel shirt that did not shrink where the arms come up above your wrist

The quality of this shirt outshines anything I've seen in any local retail store here in Portland Oregon. Smart looking after washing, no iron is a plus and its nice and warm. I liked this shirt so much I've bought another.

This is the best shirt ever. I bought for myself (a woman) from the man's page because I like the bigger size to wear with jeans as a jacket. Plan on buying another color soon. Looks great with a turtleneck shirt. Every bit a LLBean quality product

Great flannel shirt, LL Bean! We are all going to wear flannel shirts to our Vermont Rehearsal Dinner next fall, and there was really only one place we thought of buying them. True to form, these are great, basic flannel shirts, just as we had hoped. Our only issue with them is that they all run very big compared with average street sizes. I am in the process of exchanging for the next size down for each shirt I ordered, though now I'll just know for the future. Wish Bean would make these exact same shirts for women (and also release an XXS because of the oversizing issue). Overall, though, great product!

My husband buys one of these when he sees a pattern he likes. They are excellent quality, especially for the price. Most of the designer flannels I see are flimsy by comparison and cost twice as much. You can wash them over and over without worry. LL Bean lasts and lasts--my son loves my husband's old stuff. Buy early if you like it, because they do control their inventory and many things go quickly.

Both of my sons love these flannel shirts. They are soft and warm. They scrunch up into a small space in their backpack. I love that they hold up through dozens of washes. After 2 teenagers outgrow them, I pass them on to a friend, still looking great.

This is the "comfort" shirt in your wardrobe. It's warm, very soft and generously sized to layer over another shirt. I wear them as a very light jacket on Fall days. LLBean has got these guys down pat, producing a shirt that wears like iron, looks good and washes easily. Highly recommended ... even if it gives you that lumberjack look, which is interesting in Brooklyn.

Bought 2 last year-they were soft, comfortable, sized well, and after many washings look good. So, just bought 3 more patterns since from Nov. to March flannel is my choice of garment.

I think these flannel shirt are the best. The authentic tartans are beautiful. My husband says that they are soft and comfortable to wear. I like that they launder so great. Hoping that you'll get the Lindsey tartan back in stock.

We have purchased flannel shirts from LL Bean for many years and have never been disappointed. They wear well, are comfortable, and don't easily fade if washing instructions are followed. My husband loves them.

The fabric used to make this shirt and the overall quality of construction are very impressive. Price is also reasonable for a shirt of this quality. This has become my favorite shirt to wear on a cool Fall day. My wife loves that it is easy to wash and looks good right out of the dryer.

I'm a woman, but I bought this shirt in a men's size because I wear it to actually work. I wanted to be able to layer and not have to deal with stupid princess seams. This shirt is the BEST. Soft - oh, I can't tell you how soft and warm! The color is rich and more beautiful than the photo, too. Well made and true to size - pretty perfect. Get 'em now before they're sold out.
