This shirt arrived in the mail yesterday down here in Hobart, Tasmania. I immediately put it on. Absolutely fantastic. Comfortable. Well made. A great fit, and a good length so it wont pull out. Just perfect for our mild winters down here. Can't get shirts like this locally. Thanks Mr Bean!!

Received as Christmas gift and have been wearing all the time since then. Still looks great after many washes, and maintains its softness and warmth. I will buy another one soon. I wish these came in plain colors.

Fabulous shirt. Soft, warm, great colors. I wear it over a sweater around the house as added layer; this is my fourth Bean's flannel shirt -- I couldn't live without them.

I got 5 of these for my husband after reading the excellent reviews here: these shirts are so wonderful that we purchased the other 2 tartan patterns as well! Absolutely incomparable, luxuriously soft and thick flannel; have never seen such nice fabric! Shirts are well-made, wash and dry perfectly, and the tartans are classic. These will last for years, as several reviewers have already noted. A quality shirt!

I am a bit of a flannel junkie during the colder part of the year, and there is no other flannel shirt out there by any other maker that retains its original shape and soft feel like these. I own 10 of these and they are all I wear from October to April. They all look as good, if not better than when I bought them! Thank you, LL Bean!

I bought this shirt for my husband for the holidays, and he loves it! He says the quality of the shirt's material and construction are superior to others, and loves the colors. The fabric weight is not too thick, which is nice for Florida winters. The shirt washed beautifully and is immediately wearable.

I received two of these shirts for Christmas and enjoy them a great deal. The fabric is warm and feels wonderful. The colors are rich. They neither shrink nor fade in the wash -- and they feel superior to brand name flannel shirts I find in department stores. My only (minor) complaint would be about the monogram. I got the classic style monogram on each shirt and you can't even see them. The monogram is on the chest pocket and only about the size of a dime. Adding further insult to injury, the monogram on the black watch shirt is a dark navy color, practically invisible to the naked eye. We have the Bean Visa card which means the monogramming is free. That said, I would not pay for that feature with these shirts.

My wife bought me a nice Pendleton flannel plaid shirt, and I liked it even though the price was about $60 retail. It felt good, so I thought I'd get a couple more, and Bean had a sale on. I purchased one Kingfield and one Scotch Plaid. They arrived and looked very good. I washed them both (neither bled or faded), and they didn't shrink much at all nor were they misshapen by the washing and drying process. They actually came out thicker and softer feeling. The shirts are very well made for nearly half the price of the Pendleton shirt, and they look better after washing and drying than that shirt (which did fade a little). One indication of the quality is that the placket is double-stiched, so that it doesn't flair up in the drying process. The button-down collars keep their shape, too, and aren't so large that you can wear them buttoned or not. I think this is one of the best buys I've seen in recent years from Bean. The shirts are true to size, too, and do not follow the disturbing trend of size creep that seems to make mediums too large these days. This fits like a classic-fit dress shirt, and I'm a 15-1/2" neck, 33" sleeve person. At regular price, they are still a good deal!

We love the Black Stewart shirt and really want to buy the Grey Stewart! Will it be back? The Royal Stewart we will return because the red wasn't the same color as seen online or in catalogs.

I've been wearing flannel shirts since the mid 1960's, and this is a very nice shirt. Well made, warm, attractive, and soft. I don't know what more you can ask of a flannel shirt. I bought one and liked it so much I got a second. I live in Wisconsin and we keep our house at 65 degrees in the winter. This shirt helps make that comfortable.

This is a great flannel. Very comfortable, true to size, does not fade or shrink and is a great value. I have not experienced any quality issues with any of my purchases from L.L. Bean so far. I plan on buying more in the very near future.

These are awesome shirts I really like them. They are comfortable and warm I own a number of them. They wash and dry great with no problems and come out of the dryer ready to wear. The colors and patterns of the shirts I have match the pictures I have seen on line exactly.

I gave this to my son for Christmas. He loved it! the 'tall' worked very well for him as he has an athletic built and is 6 foot tall. He was happy that the sleeves were long enough to button the cuffs and not have the shirt pulling at the shoulders. Once again LLBean came through!

I bought this shirt for the first time for my husband for Christmas. If I had known it would fit so perfectly, washes and dries like a dream and looks fabulous on I would have bought 3 more !!!! The weight is perfect and it is soft and wonderful to wear. I definitely will be purchasing more when they are back in stock. (hubby is five ten with a long arm; bought Tall-Large)

Nice enough to get away with at the office on a friday or saturday. With a thin wicking layer underneath it's my go-to for cold weather out in the yard. Doubles as a light jacket in the summer.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. Generally, he gets too hot in flannel shirts, but this one is a nice weight that seems to work. The fabric is soft and comfortable and I really like the color (Black Stewart). The chest pocket is a must.

Ordered this in Tall XXL Royal Stewart for husband. It was HUGE so exchanged for Tall XL and fit is perfect. Washed twice and had no problem with shrinking or pilling as some other reviewers have stated. Husband loves it and I love him in it. Color has remained deep thus far.Highly recommend. He is 6'1" and 240 lbs.

My husband's Tall flannel shirt is perfect for him; long enough, sleeves good, soft flannel fabric. It's a basic for him, and he loves it.

I own one of these in the grey stewart tartan. The cotton is so soft, when I first put it on, I felt it had been part of my wardrobe for years. It washes well, has not shrunk, and teams up well with jeans, chinos, or even dress pants for casual Fridays at the office. The only drawback is that they don't make it available in McDonnell plaid.

The men in your life will love this flannel shirt! I have been buying my father in law one of these shirts for the past several years for Christmas. My husband has several of them too and they both appreciate the quality, fit and style of these shirts. They are warm and comfortable and still look great wash after wash. They are well worth the price.

The guys in my house ask for these every year. The ones from last year still look like new. They are the best. Come out of the wash looking great every time. True to size.

I own just about every pattern Bean offers. Some are slightly thicker fabric than others and some even wash better than others. Still, they are all diligently stitched together from Portuguese-made ( watch the video) cotton with a collar roll that for a shirt in its category is unbeatable. They soften with age and need only to be washed in cold water and a brief thrown in the dryer. They will shrink, but minimally. The colors last and last and the patterns are classic. This is flannel for serious adults that tosses aside all the cliches associated with this quaint and cozy American style. You won't find a better shirt of this kind for this price anywhere and I am hardly the easiest person to please as my reviews will attest. Buy as many as you can. You will regret it if you don't.

My father-in-law loves the one we bought him two years ago! He starts wearing it as soon as the weather changes. He'll be getting on for Christmas agan this year, even though the last one we gave him is still in excellent condtion.

This shirt is a very soft flannel. It stayed the same after washing and drying. I recommend this shirt 100%...and the plaid is beautiful

I LOVE THIS SHIRT....... BUYING ANOTHER COLOR FOR SON FOR CHRISTMAS. SO SOFT.......FIT PERFECTLY, ALWAYS REMINDS ME OF CHRISTMAS TREES , FIREPLACES , FRESH SNOW, AND SKIING. BEST OF WINTER TIMES. I GUESS I NEED TO START BUYING THEM FOR MYSELF GOOD IDEA !
