Trying to get a head start on Holiday gifts, I ordered an Ancient MacMillian flannel shirt for my husband, but I had it sent to our son's home. By coincidence, it arrived the day after our son's birthday. Our son did not read my text and assumed that the shirt was for him, even though it was a larger size than he would wear. When my husband went to see our son, he noticed that our son was wearing a sharp new shirt and asked about the shirt. Our son's comment was "This is not any shirt, it is an LL Bean shirt, isn't it great!". Of course my husband asked me about it when he got home and we had a good laugh. But, we also had to order the same shirt for our son, but in the correct size. Love the quality, options of plaids and service of LL Bean.

Sent this as a gift to my older brother on his birthday. He loved it and he's not a guy who's too overwhelmed in getting clothes. The fit was excellent and he really liked the color. He wore it to show it off at a family gathering.

Like so many of these LL Bean flannels, the fit and fabric are terrific. The feel of the cloth is luxurious and and the colors are deep and vivid without being bright. A great shirt!

The Scotch Plaid flannel shirt is a wonder to feel. The colors are rich. But best of all the shirt fits perfectly. I am a large guy with long arms and I am never really happy with the way shirts fit- except now I am. I love this shirt. Go buy one for yourself

Nice flannel shirt, true to sizing. Not real heavy but very soft and comfy. Washes well. Bought two for my husband and he loves them. He is tall but I got him the regular size M and they were perfect for him. I would buy again.

L.L. Bean's flannel shirts were my first Bean purchase over two decades ago (back when I had to call and order from a catalogue!). Those shirts are still in my wardrobe and have endured through the seasons. These new shirts seem to be made with the same attention to detail and quality. The fit is neither too baggy nor too slim. The flannel is luxuriously soft and comfortable. I love my L.L. Bean plaid flannel shirts, both old and new.

As a woman, I love wearing this flannel shirt over a turtleneck in the winter as a "big shirt". It's roomy and comfortable. I'd love to see even more colors.

The shirt is very soft. I only got traditional fit because they didn't have this pattern in slightly fitted. It still fits fine, a little baggy but not bad. It's very comfortable. It appears to be well built and should last a long time.

This is one of the softest, warmest shirts that I own. Wear it for working in the yard or save it for a great looking shirt when getting together with friends.

This is the best flannel shirt I own.....and I am going to order more just as soon as our Faux Fall in Southern California turns to cool. I have been wearing this shirt even on warmer days to encourage the Real and Legitimate Fall to fall, but alas, I have to shed it by noon or earlier. BUT.....it is the MOST COMFORTABLE shirt I in my closet. Bravo, L.L. Bean!!!

What an excellent purchase! The flannel washed up beautifully and the colors remained vivid and bright. True to form fit and very well made. A great gift for your special man.

Soft and warm, good looking and good fitting shirt.

I am very happy with the two shirts of this style that I bought. Initially I considered returning them because the sleeves were too long for me. However, after washing them once, the length was enough shorter to suit me. The shrinkage was small, but just enough for me. The feel of the material is great. As with every LL Bean product that I have ever purchased, the quality is superb and generally superior to products bought from competitors. And any problems that I have had in the past were quickly and satisfactorily resolved.

I buy these for my husband, and then I wear them. These are nice and long and the flannel is so soft and thick. Lovely flannel. My only suggestion would be to add a button to the sleeve placket; there is no way to roll up the sleeves and have them be a bit tighter so they stay up.

I love these Scottish tartan plaid flannel shirts. I have 6 of them and just bought two more. I will not buy a competing product. They are well sewn, comfortable and a great fit. I wear them like sweaters all winter over another layer. Exquisitely attractive plaids.

These flannel shirts are the typical LL Bean quality.They are super soft and smooth flannel, and no pills.Also, they didn't shrink much, if at all, like some other brands do. One suggestion, wash and dry separately the first time because of the excess fluff. Love these shirts so much, I ordered more!

Brand new so not sure how long the life of garment is but the quality seems nice, colors nice, fit nice...

I love fall, I love winter, I love cold weather. And a major reason is because I once again get to wear my six beloved Bean Scotch Plaid Flannel shirts. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE LOOK AND FEEL OF THESE SHIRTS. They simply make me happy.

These flannel shirts are the perfect weight for wearing. Excellent material and great fit. Come out of the Dryer looking wonderful.

I fell in loved with the mens' plaids and decided to buy one for myself. Since it is cut for a man and not womanly hips it is a little too snug there but I bought it to wear as an open shirt jacket over a tee so I don't mind. The colors are saturated and gorgeous, and it's heavenly soft. I love it.
