Nice fabric and colors, but the dimensions were really off. Been wearing large for many years. This one was incredibly long, yet sleeves were relatively short. Fit in shoulder, but on the wide side in the torso. Hope next year's version is better.

As another reviewer said, the grey Stewart fabric on this shirt ordered 11/2020 looks like a rumpled mess after washing and drying. Other patterns can be worn right out of the dryer, but this one requires ironing and quickly reverts to frumpy when worn.

My husband loved this shirt and the first time he wore it, I discovered the fabric on the back yoke had not caught in the seam. What a disappointment. Is there no quality control these days? Now I have to pay return shipping to return it, and they no longer have the color we bought. Cut up my LLBean card, and no more purchases. $50 for a poorly made shirt makes me NOT a happy customer.

The size is okay -- it's the appearance that I'm not in love with. Online, the cloth material appears "brighter," but the colors are rather subdued up close. I will be returning it.

The shirt was too big. The look of the shirt was nice.

Nice but too expensive shirt. I didn't realize it was 100% cotton when I bought it. I wouldn't pay this much for a shirt I have to iron and have to watch for shrinkage because of 100% cotton.

I have purchased probably around 100 LL Bean products in the last 30 years. This is the first product I have been disappointed in. This year's Scotch Plaid Flannel shirt pills badly. I purchased 3 and I have to wash them separately to keep them from getting my other clothes all fuzzy in the dryer. I have over a dozen other LL Bean flannel shirts from past years. They NEVER pilled. This year's fabric is different than past years. Colors are good, fit is same as always, cloth quality way below LL Bean standards.

Longtime customer. Have purchased many flannel shirts in past years. Several purchased in 2021 very disappointing. Great during initial use but not the same after recommended washing. Good deal of shrinkage and fabric lost original softness. Must be new vendor.

Odd Shirt - Very Long, as if it is supposed to be tucked in. Really awkward fir if worn untucked, but it's a flannel. I mean, do people tuck those in?

So most of Bean's clothes run big. I always buy small regular shirts because a medium size is always too big. This one was an acceptable fit until it was washed it. It shrank a full size. If you order this order the next size up. I will be returning this item and going for the next size up.

Agree w some other reviewers -- nice shirt but my Medium arrived today and is 'way too large -- especially sleeve length. Might try washing and see if it will shrink but likely not enough to matter. It's likely going back.

the shirt is great , as are all your products. However, it is way too large for a size medium. Can I get a refund?

Bought the same shirt last year, so wanted another one. It's not like last years. This one's collar is mushy and scrunched like any other flannel I could get for much less $

Shirt quality is good but runs too large. I normally buy larges in shirts from Bean's and they fit well. This is entirely too big and too long, if you intend to wear untucked.

The shirt is just a regular flannel, not worth $50. I am spoiled by years of buying the Wicked Good flannels, more money but worth it! Wanted a different plaid but

Forced to return this shirt since the sleeves are a good two inches longer than any other LLBean shirt I own. Otherwise, it is really nice and I wish I could keep it.

A beautiful shirt, however, i usually order a large, so did so, but it came a good deal bigger, than I experienced in the past. Especially arm length. Then I ordered a medium, and that also did not fir right. .

Not the quality weave I expected from Bean's reputation. I have 4 of these I've bought over the past two years. Each one has started to pull badly after just a couple of washes. I love the fit and softness, but the pilling makes them look worn and a little ragged. I still wear them on knock-around days, but can't when I'm around other people because they make me look like the poor relation in the group!

I have been ordering Bean flannel shirts for over 20 years, and I've never had a problem until now. The shirt I purchased this year is not like the shirts of the past. The material is rather stiff, and has a puckered appearance when removed from the dryer. Even after ironing, the shirt does not look good. I tried washing it again to see if there was any improvement, but the results were the same.

I normally purchase several LL Bean flannel shirts for my husband at Christmas, and he loves them!
However these Scotch Plaid Traditional Fit Flannel Shirts were a disappointment when they were washed. I followed the instructions to a T and only dried them for 10 minutes on very low heat. When I took them out they had shrunk almost two inches in length and substantially through the chest, back, shoulders and sleeve length. Also the material is substandard and does not drape well after washing. Do yourself a favor and purchase the Wicked Good Men's Flannel Shirts instead. They are just beautiful and worth the extra cost! I wish they came in more plaids and patterns!

My shirt length noticeably shrank the first time I washed it. Very disappointed ... it's very obvious and I followed the shirt label indicating the shirt should be washed in warm water and tumble dried. I have purchased flannel shirts from LL Bean on many occasions during the past 40-50 years and they have NEVER shrank before.

nice fabric and fit for the chest.
the problem is that the sleeves are very long. i had bought a similar shirt years ago. sleeve length on it had reasonable length. i guess they changed the specs

The flannel shirt is as pictured and fits fine, but does not wash up well. It is wrinkled. i followed all washing instructions and am disappointed in the results, based on our previous excellent experience with LL Bean shirts. i would not order this product again.
