For a flannel shirt this is about as good as it gets. Very soft material, excellent fit and decent price. Shirt is great for casual or business wear and it's looks reflect quality material and workmanship. Will buy more of these shirts.

I purchased this shirt for the upcoming winter . The colors are handsome. The fabric is soft and warm. The garment is exactly what I was looking for. This shirt is a good buy for the money.

I bought this shirt, and I've washed and worn it once. It is good quality material and construction, and it's very soft. It does seem a little thin, however. My only real disappointment is that it came out of the dryer a little more wrinkled than I'd like. I know that's to be expected of flannel, but I own at least three of the Wicked Good flannel shirts Bean sells, and I think they are worth the extra $10. They are definitely neat enough for casual office wear. But I prefer some of the patterns in this shirt to the Wicked Good plaids. If the Wicked Good came in Black Watch, Dress Campbell, or a nice Christmasy red plaid, I'd buy those immediately.

Hi--I just received a new flannel shirt for the upcoming winter. It is the Black Watch style. It is comfortable to wear. The large size fits just right. The shirt is handsome. I may purchase another color as I am pleased with the garment !

We have a bunch of these flannels in the house between my husband and three sons. However, as much as we like them, the Navy Tartan in a Large size has one quirk: the three dark blue lines all line-up down the middle of the front of whoever is wearing it, whereas the pattern is more evenly dispersed on the medium sizes we have. Maybe that got resolved this year, we'll see.

Good quality flannel shirt. I have many LLB plaid flannel shirts and like them all. This one from Christmas 2013 feels like it is made of a thinner material than previous shirts. Still warm and comfortable.

Nice shirt, but either I am shrinking or LLbean shirts are getting a little larger! The arm-holes and sleeves seem somewhat too wide. My wife washed the shirt in hot water and dried hotter than instructions. The sleeves shrunk a little in length to fit me, but the arm-holes and sleeves still are too full for my taste. I plan to wear it, since the appearance is passable.

I ordered this shirt in tall for my husband and it fits great. I got the gray with red and it is really attractive. The only drawback is that it must be ironed after washing. The wicked good flannel shirt can be hung straight from the dryer.

I purchased this for DH after getting several well-made flannel shirts of substantial fabric from another retailer, but wanted the Black Watch color. This is well-made, nice fabric and fits a "relaxed fit" man well, and I'm glad LLBean carries Tall sizing, but the fabric was thinner than expected. This will be a nice shirt for the transition of seasons, or with a layer underneath for winter.

Love this shirt. I always use Flannels in the winter for layering. This shirt is soft, warm and does not shrink in the wash

I was late in placing my order and only two colors were still available. Love the shirt I purchased for my husband, just wish they had more in the red colors. Seems to be a favorite, please carry more. The shirt I purchased fits well and my husband likes it. Would recommend this shirt to others.

I love this shirt. It is very soft, available in great colors, and fits very well. The only complaint I have is that it could use one more button on the bottom on the front of the shirt. I have a long torso and the extra button would come in handy. I know, your saying why not by the long version of the shirt... well, then the sleeves would be to long. Great shirt, but I am going to have to take the 6 shirts I bought into an alteration shop for an extra button hole to be made on the front of the shirt.

Bought my son a blue plaid shirt. He loved the shirt, but could not find a red plaid. He returned the blue one and bought two other items he liked.

Bought this for my husband who wears a Large Tall. So far it washes well. He is over 6 feet tall and the Long length is perfect. Tailored nicely for a tall man.

Only thing I would want is it to be heavier

The McNeil tartan was perfect! Correct colors and it goes with anything. Only issue at all was that every shirt was one size too big but that may be due to my laziness at measuring us. As an example, the medium fit our Lg person, a large fit our XL person, and the XL fit our 2 XL person. But warm, comfy, and roomy!

This shirt is great quality, great value. The flannel is soft, medium thickness and super comfortable. Only knock - the traditional fit is very large. Arm length, collar size, shoulder fit are all perfect, but from the chest down this one is really big. Still and all, a great, comfortable shirt.

After ordering the wicked good flannel shirt in Lg tall decided to order the plaid flannel shirt traditional fit in same size. Found that these shirts are slightly smaller than the wicked good, possibly from shrinkage??? Sleeves were a bit shorter after washing and arm holes a bit smaller but o.k. If you are between size consider going to next size up. Color was good, pattern matched up o.k, material is a little bit lighter than the wicked good but still a nice weight for fall & winter. Would have liked to exchange to an XL regular but everything sold out - that should tell you these shirts are popular.

Just the right weight of flannel for my husband ,who trends to be always on the warmer side, to wear during our cooler Pacific Northwest seasons. Like how they wash..just a touch of ironing is needed ( by my standards) the hem and back of collar. I love the plaids...bought 3: kept the Wallace , gray Stewart and returned the Black Watch ( not enough pop to the colors). The fit is great on my husband who is built " short and squatty" ( as long as he doesn't get anymore "squatty".).

Been shopping with LL Bean for years and the quality of products and service is very stable and satisfactory.

Bought as a gift for someone. He is going to love it and feel warm during winter days and think about who gave it to him.

As I write this review I am wearing the above scotch plaid shirt. It is one of my favorites. The only thing I would add is make the pockets a little deeper.
