Great shirt - runs big and long on medium. Closer to a large

I have had several of these over the years, and considered them to be of high quality. However, in the past years, the buttons have been poorly attached. Without abuse, the one I received at Christmas (3 months) has dropped two of its buttons (it did have one spare).
I don't know what changed, but the new process is bad. If you purchase this, consider re-sewing its buttons right away.

Not quite as fuzzy as I like but a good looking, comfortable, quality piece of clothing.

The fabric is nice looking but not as heavy as I would like.

The shirt is good. Fits pretty well now, but I had to give it two washes and hot drys before the sleeves began to fit me. As delivered they were 1.5 to 2 inches too long and I have been a men's large for 60 of my 79 years. I don't think my arms have shortened since the last LLB shirt I bought.
Also, the lint from the shirt almost blocked my dryer lint screen. I have never seen that much accumulation. I was sure I was going to send the shirt back when I first put it on. Seems to be okay now, but it sure wasn't ready to wear out of the package. Material seems sturdy and if the shirt had arrived in the condition it is now, I would have been satisfied.

Comfy shirt. Slightly too big. But I didn't buy a tall so the arm length is fine but the girth of the shirt is massive.

i have always wanted to own an LL Bean flannel and after finally accessing top surgery this fall my roommate got me one for xmas! being from canada it was a bit of an ordeal (my roomie got me a gift card so i had to order thru the US, then my first shirt arrived w/ a hole, that being said all of my customer service interactions were super kind and helpful!) but overall i am deeply satisfied. i've never had a flannel fit me so well in the shoulders. the fabric is good quality and i hope to have it for a really long time. i only wish the fit was a little looser in the hips but such is the plight of being a trans masc w/ hips.

Soft, medium-weight flannel, snappy check pattern, long tails--best worn tucked in

Great shirt, but a size "Large Long" should be longer in the sleeves and tails. No, I didn't put it in the dryer.

I already had a Grey Stewart version of this shirt and thought I would try a different color. When I tried the shirt on it seemed big so I did a comparison and sure enough the Blue Buchannan is considerably larger. The material is much the same but size is not. One was made in Nicaragua and one in Sri Lanka. It would seem that product control is lacking. If I order again should I ask for a large or an extra large? oddly enough, I always thought that flannel shirts were made in the USA or Canada.

I typically order large flannel shirts from another company, but when I did here I found that the shirt shrank in length quite a bit after washing and drying a few times. I tried ordering the Tall version since it's only the length that is different. Well, after the similar washing/drying the shirts fit perfectly. That is why I selected the fit as "true to size". My dress shirt sleeve length is 33 if that helps. I do wish these shirts had two chest pockets and slightly larger buttons. All in all, still a nice shirt.

I have been wearing Bean's clothing for 40+ years and I love their stuff. I have ordered a couple flannels and a chamois shirt recently and the sizes are much larger than they have been in the past. No I have not lost weight, but rather then opposite during this pandemic. If you are normally an XL you may want to get an L.

Great shirt. Soft and warmth range that is wearable, while not over-bearing. Well assembled. My one reserve about Bean flannel shirts is I find they shrink in time. Perhaps I dry them too hard. So I get them a bit big, expecting they'll swing through range of fit in their lives and about the time they're worn down, they're kinda small so expendable.

Soft, warm and fits fine. The fabric just isn't as substantial as it used to be; it's downright fluffy. For this price, bring back the premium weight flannel. Thanks.

The shirt fit well and was very comfortable. But the color was not as shown. The color I chose was "Cranston", which on the web page was more bluish or turquoise. But when the shirt arrived, it was mostly green with only a few hints of dark blue..

Doesn't really fit all that well, though I normally wear a 'large-tall', this has overlarge sleeves and the torso section is far too long. Would almost call this a 'large-tall plus tall'. Going to try to pawn it off on my 6'5" son.

Ordered a L Tall, usual size ordered, but it was huge! Returned for exchange of M Tall. Fit perfectly. No hassle return/exchange.

The shirt fits well. Only suggestion is to wash it separately the first time. I had "flannel fuzz" all over the other clothes after washing.

My husband likes your flannel shirts because the sleeves do not shrink. However, I am not happy about the unmatched plaids at the side seams. Why do they never match? If you are selling a quality shirt, the seams should match!

A beautiful plaid! The shirt is well sized. It is quite heavy flannel, very warm. I wish you offered a lighter flannel too, for us in the Bay Area with poorly heated homes so it's chilly but not frigid. Thanks!
